Diptyque has launched Orphéon, a new unisex fragrance.
An ode to the bar at the intersection of 34 boulevard Sain-Germain and rue de Pontoise, Orphéon Eau de Parfum from Diptyque is an unforgettable warming signature.
Expertly developed by master perfumers in France, this intoxicating fragrance is reminiscent of curls of tobacco, powder blush and the polished wood of the namesake bar that inspired this fragrance. Opening with notes of invigorating juniper berry and light jasmine, it develops into a deep and warm centre with a blend of cedar and tonka bean – an olfactory experience that evokes memories of the smoky, powdery Orphéon bar. Irresistible as a masculine or feminine fragrance, apply to pulse points for a heady signature.
Diptyque Orphéon is available in 75 ml Eau de Parfum.

Update: Orphéon is a woody floral, and was developed by perfumer Olivier Pescheux. (via fashion-press.net)
The perfume sounds nice, but what I really want is to go to that bar!
Lol, me too!
Wouldn’t it be hilarious if a whole gaggle of us trotted into the Orpheon and have the place a good sniffing? We’d order drinks as well, of course!
*gave the place
I’m in!
Diptyque could hold their launch party for the new perfume there
Ha! Yes, take me with you!
It does sound nice.
At the moment, going to ANY bar is appealing.
I think that bar closed over 50 years ago! According to Diptyque PR.
Well shoot.
According to Google Maps this intersection is now the flagship Diptyque store
Lemming born!
Wearing this for the second time today – It’s really lovely. I wasn’t around in the 60s (so I have no idea if it smells like a Parisian bar), but it reminds me of the power scents of the mid to late 80s and early 90s, without the headaches at the perfume counter. I love fragrances that are complex and not sooooooo heavy!
