No offense to all Americans, but peanut butter? What’s the deal with peanut butter? To me, it just smells flat. It almost sucks my being into the jar. When I was growing up, all I wanted to do was move to America and experience everything American. You know, peanut butter, cheerleaders, prom — all of these things. I tried. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried to like peanut butter, but I can’t get past the smell.

Try it with chocolate, in a Reeses cup in particular…….LOL
When I was pregnant, I kept a jar of PB at my desk and would eat spoonfuls of it. Glorious! 🙂
I love peanut butter too. And pistachio butter, and really any nut butter.
Yes to this! Germany has a variant on Nutellani particularly adore, which is a macadamia butter spread with a small amount of cocoa… I brought home 2 jars from my last trip there and lamented when they were gone!
That sounds glorious too!
Is pistachio butter commercially available?? OMG, I must try to find some!
Oh yes, it is!
Yup, that pretty much says it all! Reese’s peanut butter cups and pieces are the clinch argument.
I LOVE peanut butter and have had people bring me some when I’ve lived in places where it is hard to get any. That said, I totally see what she means about it sucking her being into the jar and smelling flat; it is a bit black hole-ish. I give my soul to peanut butter willingly; others might not.
🙂
I know she said no offense, but I take offense anyway, lol.?
I am offended on behalf of Canada, where peanut butter was invented.
I’m South African and peanut butter is a staple for me ??♀️
Also…crushed nuts being one of the worst smells in the world, seriously?
Right! This person is clearly insane.
Sure. But I love, love, love peanut butter. I also love Fritos and they smell weird. So there.
I love the smell of Fritos too. I haven’t had any in forever. Maybe I should fix that.
Definitely! 😀
And by the way, Frito pie for the win.
I am smelling a jar of peanut butter now.
Peanut butter- a rich, warm, fatty, toasty scent. I have NO idea what this person is going on about. It’s not a scent to wear, to be sure! But certainly not bad at all!
In the full article she talks of a memory of a wonderful smell of roasted nuts, so go figure. I can imagine it possible to be averse to any smell – but to consider it the WORST smell…one wonders if she has ever taken the garbage out!!!
I know, right? She sprays $400 fragrance on her sheets in the morning, so I rather doubt she’s encountered a garbage can! ?
Ha ha!
I’ve tried peanut butter and I’ve tried Clive Christian’s supposed “world’s most expensive perfume”.
I’ll take PB any day of the week.
Especially on toast!
