From Nina Ricci, “Nina At The Apple Market”, followed by (below the jump) a Tom-Fordesque spot for Tom Ford Beau de Jour (recently released into the Signature collection). Then we’ve got a 30 minute beginner yoga routine from the folks at Karl Lagerfeld, and Linda Pilkington at Ormonde Jayne demonstrating a floral bouquet cake for Mother’s Day. Last, the spot for Loewe Paula’s Ibiza.

Iris Liqueur from Elixir Craft Spirits in Oregon: "Iris takes its name from its main ingredient—genuine iris root. Iris root is legendary for its delicate, violet-like scent. For centuries, Florentines cultivated iris plants in their vineyards to enhance their wines, and used iris root infusions to make floral liqueurs. The precious iris (fleur-de-lis) serves as the official emblem of Florence and the aristocracy even today." $44.99 at Potomac Wine & Spirits (see comments).
Thursday scent of the day 5/7
Happy Almost-Friday! (And in case you missed it, the Haiku challenge is coming up on Saturday, and we’ll try a Swapmeet the following week, on May 16). What fragrance are you wearing?
I’m in Acqua di Parma Iris Nobile Eau de Toilette, because SheriG wore it yesterday.
Reminder: 5/8 is Iris Day…
Atelier Des Ors Riviera Lazuli & Pomelo Riviera ~ fragrance reviews
Like a human raccoon, I was attracted to Atelier Des Ors‘ Riviera line of perfumes because of their beautiful blue bottles — with gold flakes in the bottom: sparkly! Pomelo Riviera: bergamot, grapefruit, orange, jasmine, salty notes, rose, cedar
Pomelo Riviera starts with an old-fashioned mosquito repellent scent…
Iris week x 3
We open with irises at Sissinghurst Castle Garden, from 2017. Below the jump, bearded irises blooming this week at the Missouri Botanical Garden’s Alice Hahn Goodman Iris Garden, followed by a short film from International Flavors & Fragrances’ in-house naturals facility, Laboratoire Monique Rémy, on the French orris harvest (this is a 2016 video that we already posted back in 2017).
