Clinique My Happy Baby Bouquet, Cookies & Kisses and Indigo Mist ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 29 December 2020 9 Comments

Clinique has added three more fragrances to the My Happy collection of layerable scents: Baby Bouquet, Cookies & Kisses and Indigo Mist.

Baby Bouquet ~ "...is blissful like a sleeping baby. Embrace the tenderness of a favorite lullaby. Bright mandarin, a tender heart of Orange Flower petals and creamy musk." Additional notes for the floral fragrance include spearmint, petitgrain, jasmine, muguet, amber tonic and vetiver.

Cookies & Kisses ~ "...is delicious like baking on a lazy Sunday. Nibble something yummy just out of the oven. A touch of cinnamon, rich vanilla, and creamy chestnuts." Additional notes for the oriental fragrance include pink pepper, baked apple accord, bergamot, fir balsam, pimento berry, guaiac wood, Peru balsam, ambroxan and sandalwood.

Indigo Mist ~ "...is fresh like morning dew. Run through spring fields after a rain shower. Bluebells, wet green notes of melon and Violet leaf, Cashmeran and Orris root." Additional notes for the floral fragrance include apple skin, grapefruit, pink pepper, jasmine, rose water, cedar and operanide (woody-ambery note).

Clinique Baby Bouquet, Cookies & Kisses and Indigo Mist are available at Ulta in 15 ml Eau de Parfum, $25 each.

Will there be a flanker to Baby Bouquet called Unending Howling, for when the “blissful baby” wakes from sleeping and refuses to nod off again?

Recently I was reprimanded at Ulta for daring to spray testers and informed that you aren’t supposed to touch anything. I dropped my basket and vowed not to return. The Happy line has never been my bag, but this trio might cause me to forget it all and make a beeline back to the store. They all sound delightful.

although the virus can persist for up to five days on a glass bottle, but it appeared that transmission via surfaces are unlikely. I have not read any studies on whether the recently detected mutation is more or less transmissable via surfaces.
However, if the store did not want customers to use testers, why did they set them out? If they wanted to limit how the testers were used (only with gloves, for instance}, why not post instructions?
I am sure that if you really want one of these scents, you can order one from someone other than this local store

I had sort of the same experience at my local LUSH. I was wearing a mask and the only customer in the store, but they wouldn’t let me raise it slightly and sniff a new item.
I get it, but I’m like okay sorry not interested in buying unsniffed. I walked out too.

Some of the stores have taken the testers off the counters, but when they leave them there, I wonder the same thing. Most of the stores have signs posted about not spraying the testers and asking for assistance, but good luck getting anyone to help you in some of those stores. I had a sudden attack of invisibility in a Macy’s recently. Three SA’s were helping one customer, apparently trying to locate a nonexistent item. The customer left without buying anything, and still they couldn’t see me standing five feet from them. All I wanted was to sniff a couple of frags, but I left without trying anything. The SA in Nordstrom the other day was much more helpful. She sprayed the scents I wanted to try on the test strips and on my wrists and didn’t flinch at me pulling my mask away slightly in order to sniff.

They ought to remove them then.

There is a sample set on the Ulta website called Find Your Happy with six 0.17 oz sprays for $29.50 , including these three new ones. I usually prefer samples so I can live with the fragrances for a while and then decide to buy. I can use a soothing scent like Baby Bouquet these days and Indigo sounds like spring. I’m not a gourmand lover, but Cookies & Kisses sounds interesting. The sample set is O.17 oz x 6= 1.02 oz; 1.02 oz = 28.98136 mL. One of these regular sizes is 0.5 oz or 15 mL. I hope I did the math right.
