Kate Spade New York ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 16 November 2020 3 Comments

Kate Spade has launched Kate Spade New York, a new fruity floral fragrance. It is the brand's first fragrance under new licensing arrangements with InterParfums.

Experience the charm of New York City with this fragrance by Kate Spade. Kate Spade New York Eau de Parfum is a fun, joyful and feminine fragrance that embodies the true Kate Spade woman. This fruity-floral scent captures you with hints of wild strawberries and rose essence, then dries down with woodsy and sensual notes of ambrox and cashmeran. The perfect scent for a woman who is spontaneous, humorous, and very optimistic.

Additional notes include bergamot and freesia.

Kate Spade New York is available now at Ulta, in 30, 60 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum or 10 ml travel spray.

Update: Kate Spade New York was developed by perfumer Marie Salamagne; additional notes include bergamot and freesia.

Am I a bad person to think this brand had faded into the sunset … ?

I pay so little attention, no idea if the fashion business is still strong?

I do suspect they are too late to establish as a viable fragrance brand after so many false starts, but obviously the folks at InterParfums think otherwise so what do I know.

I do know that you can maintain a viable fragrance business even after the fashion business is long gone…there are plenty of examples of that. But starting one with a fashion brand name, that’s another story.
