It's Monday, plus International Day for the Universal Access to Information, World Rabies Day and Freedom from Hunger Day. What fragrance are you wearing?
I am commando for a visit to the dentist. When I get back, I will pick something from what all you good people are wearing.
Reminder: on 10/2, our subject is On the back roads by the rivers of my memory...do what you like with the lyric from the 1968 song Gentle on My Mind. Suggested by Mossyberry.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2020, where I'll try (but frequently fail) to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

I’m wearing Mitsouko, while catching up on studying. Crisp and golden outside, so matching the weather today. I find Mitsy challenging on first spray, but it really does mellow into lovely autumnal fruits after half an hour or so.
Ohhh Mitsouko. What a beauty. I get what you say about the challenging start.
Classic beauty, and aged Mitsouko’s color is like autumn leaves…LOVELOVE
That sounds lovely. I have a sample I haven’t tried, I’ll make a point to use it before falls over.
Early to comment for a change. Today’s scent will be Gucci Guilty. I really liked the last sample I used last week so I decided to use the other one up.
Upcoming purchase?
Le lion
Marco Polo tea
Can’t wait to get my nose into a sample of Le Lion. I shall practice the virtue of patience (never one of my best virtues)
The smell to me is it Coromandel and 31RC made love somewhere in the Middle East and had a baby…
Thanks for the mini description.
I like Coromandel. I like 31C. Do I think they should have a baby and dress it up in middle eastern clothes? Hmm.
But no less intrigued ?
Yes! The more I smell this, the more I think of 31RC, but I get Shalimar with it instead of the Coromandel.
Me too re: Shalimar
Ahh, that sounds like an intriguing perfume!
Hmm, now I think I need to try 31 RC.
MTG, I adore 31RC but unfortunately, it doesn’t have lasting power, I get three hours tops – and I have scent-glue skin!
Which to me is something like Rosemary’s Baby, LOL…
Ahh! Don’t put that in my head!?
Nooooooo!
That’s scary!
Le Lion sounds wonderful!I have not smelled the newest two from Chanel, hopefully this weekend!?
there is two?
1957 is the other one I was thinking about.
Ah, ok!
Johanob, please report back on 1957 in particular. The ‘white musk’ mentioned in the list of notes worried me, but Angela’s review made it sound lovely. I need something new! Been alternating mostly between No. 19 and Fate this summer.
Anngd,will do!
Plus Paris- Edimbourgh is going to arrive! Available in Singapore.
Woo-hoo!a Smellfest is coming up!
I am in Shanghai Lily. I used to think it is a winter scent, but today I find that it fits the fall weather even better – sheer, delicate floral notes and sharp spices.
I love Shanghai Lily any day!
You smell great!
I’m in Terre d’Hermes today; suits the weather. ?
You can come sit next to me. Love TdH
Yum yum.?
I’m in Youth Dew. I’ve really been craving spice, incense, etc., even though today is the first day the weather has started out in the sixties.
I love YD – the original bath oil and YD Amber Nude are both gorgeous.
You smell wonderful!
I’m in Noir Exquis from the swap meet 🙂 warming and enveloping on this chilly day!
Oh wonderful, it’s quite cool in the UK today too.
Boyfriend Dry Oil for a warm, comforting, quiet background scent for my morning online yoga. I will add something more later.
Love boyfriend! It’s so comfortable. Like a hug in a rollerball.
I love Boyfriend Dry Oil, it’s so comforting! Enjoy the yoga!
Nice to know that the Dry Oil is good!
It sinks in quickly and has a great warm amber note. I managed to find my bottle at 50% off at Sephora.
Cool and raining today, we need the rain badly but it’s breaking such a long string of beautiful sunny days. Wearing my first niche perfume, Commes des Garcons edt. Still love it.
Yep, you smell great!
I’m wearing Bois Farine today. It was in my small box of “perfumes I can’t bear to lose and so will move myself”. This box has been great – I’ve been wearing nothing but greats for two weeks and have worn perfumes that I usually hoard. I’m really not in a hurry to unpack the rest of the perfumes (although I would like access to Like This because it’s cooled down so much.)
Have an amazing Monday and a fantastic week!!
Oh,Bois Farine is so lovely and unusual,I should wear mine asap! It’s got a musky vibe to my nose, and I have been craving musky scents lately!
You smell wonderful!
And I adore Like This!
That’s actually a great project, separate out your big loves and just wear those for a couple of weeks.
I miss Bois Farine! You smell great.
This week the cp seems kinds nostalgic,no?
SOTD!The Bodyshop Red Musk.It is one of those perfumes where you really need the correct amount of sprays for it to shine!(too few, meh, too much,MIGRAINE!)
The work week is off to a great start,I spent all of two hours doing admin. Then went shopping!
Happy Monday!XO
Take me shopping with you?
Love xoxo
Come Bella,come!!!Lots to explore!
?
Very nostalgic!
Yep! Definitely nostalgic.
Wore Costes at bedtime last night for a contemplative, “gentle on my mind” vibe. This week our weather has turned back into late summer and today I’m in Escale a Portofino. If this is how Portofino smells, I want to go there!
We are having a late summer day too…right after we removed all the a/cs, of course 😉
Well, naturally! That Murphy’s Law guy sure is busy. 😉
It definitely seems like the weather can’t make up its mind what season it wants to be lately.
Hello all, this week’s going to be a scorcher in San Francisco, wearing Guerlain’s Aqua Allegoria Mandarine Basilic.
Coffee consumed, sneakers on, and I’m out the door!
Happy Monday everyone. 🙂
Perfect scent for a scorcher!
I really enjoy this one. I’m surprised at the staying power, I get at least 9-10 hours.
Fall started in Southern Indiana! I don’t think I have much company, but I’d be happy for a little more summer! But not for those in the fire zones, of course….
It must be gorgeous! Are the leaves changing yet?
The leaves are gorgeous here in Quebec!
Ahhhhhh sweet sleep was had here last night.
I wore Noteolgy vanilla and vetiver yesterday and will again today. I kind of love it. I don’t love the fact that I haven’t heard back about the leaky bottle…but if they make it right I might add the body cream. Not overly sweet and the earthiness of the vetiver lasts through the day. Just feels right for now.
Hope they will make it right!
After a messed up Olfactif order (same owner), I got a personal call from the owner. I would be surprised if they didn’t make it right. Good luck!
Zoologist Bee this morning because the fiance is out for a run, which means it’s time to put on a perfume he hates.
The air quality is worse today than it has been in weeks, to go with the 95-F temp high we will be seeing this afternoon. Hopefully this is a one-day thing and the air will clear up again tomorrow. Meanwhile, I’m wondering if it’s clean enough for me to go on an apple-picking walk (a friend has some apple trees that I have been picking from for the past month, and I think they must be nearly done producing around now; not sure what kind they are, and they are merely adequate to eat by themselves, but fantastic when caramelized and turned into cakes).
We’re expecting a decent temperature drop tomorrow, and thunderstorms.
Eau de Protection, Thé des Moines. Tired, but I’m more or less done!
Woohoo!?
I am glad you are settling in so well. Exciting times.
And now you can just relax and eat Morbier! You will never get any sympathy from me again, austenfan 😉
Watch this space, I will probably be a lot less optimistic once I start my new job and it doesn’t all go as quickly as I want. I’m seriously lacking in patience, unfortunately. But we will see.
Jealous – we moved at the same time as you and still have so many boxes to unpack. But we went to an amazing farmer’s market yesterday and bought beautiful tomatoes and cheese, so I’m thrilled.
Glad to hear your move went so well!!.
Well I start a completely new job in an entirely different field on Thursday, so I figured I wanted to be able to find things before being completely overtaken by learning or improving another skill.
I’m in La Danza delle Libellule, geez that’s a long name. I missed this weekend’s apple poll because work was too busy to post. My favorite is Honeycrisp and I have one every morning with almond butter, 365 days a year. I agree with KellyRed that Midwest varieties are the best and this is the time of year where I can find the locally grown ones in the stores and at the farmers market. So crispy and delicious. Mealy texture in an apple is a deal breaker for me. Yuck.
I finished another class yesterday. Woo hoo.? More than halfway done now, May really isn’t that far away, is it? Lol
Retail time-
Oct = Christmas
December= New Year’s/ Valentine’s day
February= Saint Patrick’s day/ Easter
So May is basically 3 months away!
Congrats on finishing the class?
LOL, you are making great use of perfumath counting ?
I learned from the best!?
lol, I like your math!??
Thanks!
LOL! So uplifting! ?
That’s funny!!!
I would say just generally speaking that local/regional is the key to good fruit and veggies!
Oh yes, I would totally agree. My favorites are always from the farmers market, so much better than the grocery store.
Mealy apples ARE gross!
Congratulations on making the halfway mark! WOOT!
And yes, mealy texture is awful.
Neroli Outrenoir from the swapmeet. Lovely! My office doubles at the PE gym – so I’m starting my day with some 80s tunes in the background as my daughter does her PE class behind me. I’ve learned that it’s NOT appreciated if I get up and bust out some moves…
You smell lovely!
Haha, that’s awesome.?
Lol!
I’ve reorganizing everything in my tiny apartment to make a proper dedicated home office area since ot looks like we’re going WFH forever and I can’t take my current set up on the kitchen table. A very nice side benefit came up as I moved my perfumes from a cupboard to a drawer cabinet so now I can easily get to all the forgotten beauties that were hidden at the back. I reached for l’Heure Bleue today. I haven’t worn this forever both because it was hidden away and it was something I wouldn’t have worn to the office. Lovely!
Nice job – and nice benefit! You are inspiring me to think about drawer storage vs the current closet cubby that holds my boxes of perfume…
I hope you will like WFH – I have always been in some level of customer service, and even though I have projects, I just don’t think I would want that – I am energized by the face to face. DH did it for years and he preferred it.
Ah yes, we just bought some standing desks, a second ergonomic chair, and a printer as we have given into the idea that we won’t be back in an office for…who knows how long. Glad you can now reach your forgotten beauties 🙂
Kicking off with Rose Anonyme this Monday. Haven’t worn it all summer because I find it cold weather oriented, which makes it an ideal choice now.
Just lovely. One of my Holy Grail rose perfumes!
A reader of mine just made my realize that Chemist in the Bottle doesn’t come up when searched on Google. Any idea what I can do?
Hi Lucas:
https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/34397?hl=en
Sounds fairly easy – good luck. We want people to find you!
I get your instagram first, then your facebook page. Both have links to your site, but yeah, the site should come up first.
Yes, Instagram and facebook but no blog itself…
Get tips from Undina.
Yes, good idea
You smell great. I agree it is cold weather oriented.
Thank you.
Finally finished that rose water and ivy candle. It seemed like both packages from Sephora and Ulta decided to arrive yesterday. Got one more person finished, Christmas gift wise and the start of another. Woke up in vintage BaV and dabbed on Une Rose de Kandahar. I love the shaving cream aspect of this one.
Wow, so not thinking about Christmas yet! Good for you.
I am a retail employee and money is tight, so i need to start early.
I had a dream last night that I was wearing Cuir de Russie parfum so that’s what I put on this morning. I needed something close-wearing because I’m having a Covid-19 test this morning prior to a medical procedure on Thursday, and I’m hoping it won’t be too awful. My friend in California will only take one if she can put the swab in herself but I don’t have that option.
I love the CdR parfum.
Good luck with the test and the procedure!
They really need to develop a less invasive test, I haven’t had one but I hear it is most unpleasant.
Good luck with the test.
Yuck on the test! Hope that your results are negative.
I showered with Apple Cider by Philosophy, then used Almond Spice by Solstice Scents to deepen it. It’s cloudy, cold and yuck today. I need cozy.
But tonight I’m making cubed roasted butternut squash with Parmesan and garlic. Topped with buttery breadcrumbs and baked until brown. A real Fall dinner, first squash of the season.
I LOVE roasted butternut! Save me a plate 😉
Yum yum yum!!!
I ought to figure out an easy and tasty way to make butternut squash. My attempts at cooking it haven’t been stellar so far.
Good morning Y’all,
It’s the end of my work month and time for monthly chart reviews, so Chanel No 5 EdT it is! Puts me in professional mode so I can type my thoughts coherently? Works for me…. 🙂
You smell great!
You smell classy and competent!
No 5 edt is wonderful.
Robin, I love the photo and checked out photographer’s other pics on Flickr…just amazing. No affiliation obviously but more amazing photos to take in via the link below.
https://www.flickr.com/photos/geewhypics/
I have two chocolates battling it out on my forearms today…California Chocolate by Olympic Orchids and Silk, Lace & Chocolate by 4160 Tuesdays.
And I am eagerly awaiting the mail with a Gallagher Fragrances sample set arriving today. Yay for deliveries!
I blind bought the new patchouli… crossing my fingers it’s good. Do report if you try it!
Looking forward to your take on it!
Won’t get to smell it for a month, but will report when I can. 🙂
Yes, please report back on the Patchouli!
YES, in fact he has tons of pics that would work for this week’s theme.
I woke up in the middle of the night with chest pains. It was so bad, I decided to go to the Emergency room. By time I got there, it had eased up, but I went through all the tests and xrays anyway. They all came back ok. Yay!
The doctor didn’t really say much except to follow up with my regular doctor. The nurse’s were all really great, but the doctor was a little cold to my liking. I’m super tired, but I have to go to work. I have tomorrow off though. I’m going to put on some Coco, because life really is too short to hoard the good stuff.
Oh no! I am so glad you are feeling ok.
Are you feeling anxious? That can sometimes bring on strange pains in the body.
It wasn’t my usual anxiety pain, but maybe it’s changed?
You smell great. Rest up and hope it was just a stress episode.
It could be. I plan on taking it easy tommorow.
You smell lovely Lillyjo, and I am glad you are OK!?✌?
Thank you!?
I’m glad tests and X-rays showed nothing serious. I hope you can go to bed early tonight.
Thanks!, that’s the plan.
Scary symptoms symptoms you did the right thing, hope you will get a proper night’s sleep. You will smell terrific with Coco.
Thanks Aurora!
Oh no, but glad tests came back negative. Just a thought – do you have acid reflux? That is one of the causes of chest pain.
I never have before, but who knows now? This was a pain though that I’ve never felt before, very extreme. I hated to go to the ER, but figured better safe than sorry.
That’s scary, I’m glad to hear it doesn’t seem to be soo serious, but very wise to follow up with your usual doctor.
Yes, I was supposed to see the cardiologist in May, but they cancelled due to covid. I’m hoping they will see me soon now.
Yikes! I’m glad everything checked out okay! Also glad to hear the nurses were all great.?
You smell wonderful! Get that rest tomorrow!
They really were all super nice!
Get better!
Feel better soon, Lillyjo! Hope you have a good night sleep and very relaxing day tomorrow!
So glad you went, and so glad you are ok! That is scary.
I’m so happy it wasn’t something dire. Please take it easy and take good care of yourself.
Yikes! I hope you made it or are making it through the work day ok and wish you a great restful night’s sleep!!
Glad to hear the tests are negative. I hope it is nothing serious.
Scary stuff, but I think it is better to go and get checked out!
Glad you’re ok <3 Hope it doesn't come back!
Glad that you didn’t brush things off and went to the ER/ED! Also very glad that the tests came back negative. Hugs!
Seville à l’Aube. Tired of the humidity.
Bring on the humidity,the sweat,the HEAT!!haha!
Do I sound eager for summer to start already??
???
Hah! That’s why we have seasons. We need that change.
Oh you do smell great! Ditto on humidity. If it’s not summer, can’t be bothered with humidity…Johanob, you can have it.
You smell awesome!
Amber Oud. Chilly rainy day. Lousy internet connections – I can get on Google for this, but working is almost impossible.
Also spending necessary money I would rather not on new tires. Gotta get ready for winter… 🙂
LOL speaking of tires, my husband just took our car in to Canadian Tire for new front tires. They tried to sell him four winter tires. He had to explain to them he wanted regular tires because we go to California for the winter.
Did you read my suggestions regarding home Internet? It was whenever it was that you mentioned your manager said you will need to work in the office because of productivity.
Yes I did. There is no cable where I am . People use various satellite services, have poor upload speeds and so don’t work for work. Our DSL carrier is clearly trying some new things- I expect if they don’t start delivering the service they claim, they will run afoul of the Public Service Commission. It is just a problem.
I’m on DSL and whatever I did helped.
Loved my sample of Amber Oud, you smell lovely.
Had a glorious last bike ride in Montréal through brilliantly coloured fall leaves. Rain is moving in tonight and temps are dropping. 18 more days until we leave. Wearing Anima Dulcis.
18 days will be here in no time!
Enjoy the last days of Montreal fall before you move! I hope it goes smoothly.
Sounds wonderful!
Awwww that Glen Campbell song. Learning that he was suffering from Alzheimer’s, I thought if that song and wondered if the words were bringing him peace.
“And it’s knowin’ I’m not shackled by forgotten words and bonds
And the ink stains that have dried upon some lines
That keeps you in the back roads by the rivers of my memory
And keeps you ever gentle on my mind”
In a la Rose–trying not to be too sad today as the scent of smoke leaks into the house and I know people are once again watching their homes burn.
It’s a terrible situation. I pray for good soaking rain.
+1
I am doing my rain dance
Just started Circe last night. I’m only a few pages in, and I can tell that I am going to like it much better than Song of Achilles (I know you loved that book–it just didn’t work for me). Finally finished slogging through another lengthy book on current events that left me tortured and miserable–so am very much looking forward to adventures and magic on Aiaia!
Ooh, I really enjoyed Circe. I hope you like it too.
🙂 !
I am doing my rain dance
I never considered myself a GC fan, but I always loved that song, and Wichita Lineman maybe even more.
So sorry there is smoke again, and so soon.
I have a real soft spot for him. When he was dxed with Alzheimer’s I finally purchased one of his CDs that was being sold next to the gum at the check-out at our local WF. I mostly enjoyed the music, with the big exception being the totally cringe-y Dreams of the Every Day Housewife. I find it so horrible, that I cannot listen to the rest of the CD!
Yep. Smoky. And just looked at the temp in my home office, 92.9 F! Blergh!!
What a song name!! Had to look up the lyrics. Just wow. But kd lang did it! For Desperate Housewives!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dreams_of_the_Everyday_Housewife
Wichita Lineman is my favorite Glen Campbell song, but I have a ginormous soft spot for “Rhinestone Cowboy”.
Wichita Lineman is a great American Song, I love it! Many many know, too that Gentle on My Mind was written by Campbell’s friend, John Hartman, who was also a great American original and contributed to the bluegrass/folk music revival of the 1970’s.
Songs about memory always hit me hard because of dearly loved relatives who battled Alzheimers. I’m definitely going to be in my feelings on Friday.
I am in etat libre d’orange You or Someone like You. I chose this because I was checking stuff out on luckyscent and the site suggested that since I like Nomad Tea – You or Someone Like You should be a good recommendation for me. I like it very much but have to say I do not find it a bit close to Nomad Tea…
That’s what I wore yesterday. I think of it as my more cerebral summer cologne.
I don’t think it’s much like Nomad Tea at all. But I do think You or Someone Like You is a fantastic scent. You smell great!
They are very different scents, in my opinion.
Busy day, since very early in the morning.
Wearing Zoologist Civet. Super heavy and long lasting, even though I had a tiny spray. I am not liking it much, so whatever is left in the sample will go to the good by pile.
Warm and quiet fall day. I enjoyed a long walk before the sun was out. We are losing the morning light so fast. Where is Spring?
Happy Monday, everyone! ?
I join you in being ready for spring!
Let’s dream…..
I didn’t care much for Civet either.
It is a scrubber on me!
Johano kidnapped spring!?
We need to figure out how to rescue it from him! ???????
I don’t mind the cooler temps that are supposed to roll in later this week if it means the humidity goes away!
The humidity has been awful here also. Still I prefer it to the cold weather excepted from Thursday on.
https://www.theguardian.com/books/2020/sep/28/classics-books-most-often-challenged-and-banned-in-us-banned-books-week-to-kill-a-mockingbird
Cold and dark, a combinarion of daylight saving putting the clocks forwrd for summer and a day of snow showers, wind and sleet. Brrr. About to go and visit the rabbits. Wearing Stash for warmth.
It is world banned books week so an interesting link to the books challenged in the US.
I was going to reply but I could not come up with anything that did not violate the comment rules. Captain Underpants, really??
Crazy, eh.
I second that Foxbins. Of course you know I went and ordered one of those banned books immediately!
Yeah, hard to discuss, but Kanuka, all of these are things that were challenged and or banned locally, sometimes in very small localities. So all of this sort of stuff totally depends on where you live. My son read many of these books as school assignments, including the #1, the Sherman Alexie book. And I live in a small town. An East Coast small town near two cities, but still.
I am surprised Captain Underpants does not get banned more, I am pretty sure my son was reading Captain Underpants underneath his school work for much of grade school 😉
Stash is a good comfort scent!
I won a banned books trivia contest at work today. It was the highlight of my day!
You smell wonderful – Stash is one of the few perfumes DH always compliments!
The spring weather is more winter than winter was! Back into the coat and boots. Tea for Two today, I think.
Guerlain L’Heure Blanche today. What a lovely surprise this is. I immediately got the aquatic vibe and a beautiful clear Iris.
Now a powdery musk. Light, like a fluffy cloud.
Sounds pretty.
Thanks Aurora.
You do smell good!
Why ‘Thank you’ Hajusuuri.
Very atmospheric photo, Robin. I was road testing Yves Rocher Rose Ispahan, a cosy amber vanilla rose today but now I am with the much drier, modernist rose vintage Calandre.
Did you like the Rose Ispahan?
Yes, I liked it very much, it has a fruity, jammy vibe in the top notes as well.
Oooooooh that does sound rather nice!
I’m wearing Tom Ford Vanille Fatale on one wrist and Jo Malone English Oak & Redcurrant on the other wrist…it’s a long story how that happened. So I’m smelling like tiramisu and and English forest.
Hmmm, Vanille Fatale smells like desert to me, but more of a vanilla pudding; tiramisu is more cacao/coffee/almond/boozy to my nose. I guess I like to pour extra drops of Amaretto in it!
I am not a Tom Ford fan but the name of that one sounds so intriguing. Anyone tried his White Suede?
Some Mondays when I don’t have a particular perfume mood I seem to gravitate to gourmands. Must be to comfort me and ease into the work week. Today I chose TokyoMilk’s Honey & the Moon. I thought I might be able to finish my decant today, but it’s such a strong perfume that even if I respray later, I’ll probably still get another wearing out of it.
French Lover by FM. Fantastic first hours, good dry down. I will empty my sample soon…
Iris Torrefie. This is not for me.
Speaking of gentle on my mind, over the weekend I learned that my favorite aromatherapy/essential oil/attar business, White Lotus Aromatics, is closing and I started to teeter on the edge of the slippery slopes of melancholy and regret. Luckily, I nipped that in the bud and recognized how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to experience both these astonishingly beautiful oils and the wisdom of this gentle, kind and generous man who brought them into being through a labor of love and passion that extended over many decades.
I’m sorry to hear they’re closing, especially if they had such a positive role in your life. I hope the owners move on to new and brighter times.
Thank you, sistine. The owners, Christopher and Suzanne, are retiring and seem to be very happy about it. They’ve established deep, heartfelt connections with their customers and so they will continue to be a constant loving presence in our lives.
A small business almost always has the heart of the owners in it! I am sorry you won’t have that connection, but there is comfort in knowing that the owners can retire. I was happy last weekend to find that one of our local family owned business was gearing back up for full service (it’s a restaurant/brewery) after sort of hanging on with no food sales and limited delivery and pickup only!
So many small businesses have gone under that it’s always heartening to learn that one has been able to hang in there. I hope your local one will thrive!
Awwwwwww.
?
It’s been a sucky Monday for me. It seems that cell phone issues aren’t just happening to my phone. Mr. Jalapeno mentioned that his phone has been acting up for a few days when I asked him if he got a text message that I had sent him this morning. He nearly bit my head off when he said that, too. Add a smoke detector doing its “Low Battery” beep into the mix for 4 hours, and I think I want a Monday do-over.
SOTD = AG Ninfeo Mio again.
You definitely deserve a do over. Or just a “skip straight to Tuesday” pass.
I might take that “Tuesday” pass! Mr. Jalapeno is on another one of his cleaning kicks again, and it makes me want to kick him! He is NOT a neatnik by any means, which makes it more annoying.
I was also about to say just skip Monday’s going forward!
FYI, your text story made me think back to a former co-worker’s issue when her phone was hijacked and the hijacker toyed with her husband before they figured out what was happening. I’m not saying yours was hijacked as I don’t think that would cause cell signal issues.
It might be that our phone carrier is messing around with 5G infrastructure. My brother has had issues, too, and he is 2 time zones away. Plus he has a different carrier than I do.
Ugh, jalapeno. I hope tomorrow is better for you.
You know, everytime I type jalapeno, my phone wants to rename you Kalidiscope! Lol
Dentist twins with Robin! Hope your appointment went well, mine did, and felt safe enough.
Hot here, and smoky, and more fires… we may be getting houseguests as friends may need to evacuate from Napa. 2020 continues unabated.
Currently sampling Mihan Aromatics Munlark Ash. The name is apropos for our atmospheric conditions, even if the scent isn’t (cypress cypress cypress more cypress).
That’s such a pity about Napa.
I hope your friends can evacuate safely and return to undamaged homes. What a year.
I have been using body shop Fuji green tea and pink pepper and lychee. Very spa smells. PS I secretly had a glass of wine at work, but not until 4:30. Maybe work at home isn’t so bad. I ordered more boring Omnia flanker, but just a mini, EA green tea deodorant, and a small bottle of Jardin sur le nil. I did get a half ounce of omnia too as a back up.
SOTD = Le Labo City Exclusive Tabac 28
It’s my newest FB and I like it ?.

Update on my Initio Magnetic Blend 7 hive: same size, less puffy and little pinpricks are now visible, with tiny clear to pearl colored drops appearing here and there. Of all the perfumes I’ve tried, this one happened to spray out the most and as my luck would have it, my skin absolutely rejected it. At some point, I will contact Initio to find out a little more about the notes. Thanks for all the helpful suggestions – things are definitely looking better!
That was so strange, the hive! I have never heard of such a thing and I am glad you’re better.
Normally, it goes straight to rash so this was indeed quite unusual.
Enjoy your new FB!
Thank you dear.
Your perfume reaction still sounds rather scary.
Congrats on the new bottle. I’m so glad you didn’t Hajusuuri yourself with 8 sprays of that Initio!
SOTD tinked sample of La Vie est Belle. I enjoyed wearing it, but the party really started when I changed out of my work clothes and into Saturday’s tee-shirt with remnants of vintage-ish Ciara AND Forever Krystle (just got FK while thrifting prior weekend), both of which I tested over the weekend. Partial CP credit since these were not my past favorites, but like what I used to like to smell on others in the 1980’s.
Nice to find some “oldies but goodies” in the perfume arena!
Guerlain Samsara but it hasn’t been doing it for me lately. Time to switch the scent I keep out on my dresser for days I don’t want to think about it.
