Diptyque has launched Othoniel Rosa, a new fragrance in collaboration with artist Jean-Michel Othoniel. (The Othoniel Rosa candle was introduced last year.)
A tribute to "La Rose du Louvre," an original created by Jean-Michel Othoniel, diptyque collaborated with the artist on an exclusive eau de toilette honoring the queen of flowers. A peppery rose featuring the spicy and woody scent of vetiver, the limited edition fragrance also features the artist's work.
The image on the Eau de Toilette is based on the work of artist Jean-Michel Othoniel, created for the "La Rose du Louvre" exhibition, today an integral part of the permantent collection of the Louvre Museum. A reinterpretation of the rose painted by Rubens in the paining, "The Marriage of Marie de Medici and Henry IV" this rose was chosen by the artist to become the emblematic flower of the museum. The queen of flowers, a symbol of power and passion evokes in this painting the fate of a woman, her love and history of France and the Louvre museum.
Diptyque Othoniel Rosa is $180 for 100 ml Eau de Toilette, and is available online or at selected Diptyque boutiques.

I like the sound of this and am generally a fan of Diptyque. I will definitely give this a sniff.
I never did smell the candle — assume it is the same scent.
oh boy an excuse to visit the diptyque boutique:)
🙂
I had the candle (still have one unopen) and it’s a lovely rose scent. Nothing groundbreaking, but very nice. I think it will be a great perfume.
Oh so glad to hear that, thanks!
I’m going to remain hopeful for this, though I doubt I’ll ever get to try it. If they’d just bump up the rose in L’Ombre dans L’Eau I would be so thrilled!
Did you try the EdP? I prefer the EdT but I do think the EdP is a bit rosier.
This sounds lovely, but why only that big bottle?
I guess because LE?
What other fragrances do you love that feature rose and vetiver?
Frederic Malle Une Rose!
