French niche line By Kilian will launch two new liquor-inspired fragrances, Roses on Ice (gin) and Angels' Share (cognac). (See also: Apple Brandy, Vodka on the Rocks, Single Malt and Lemon Zest.)
Roses on Ice ~ Developed by perfumer Frank Voelkl and inspired by a gin with rose and cucumber, on the rocks. Additional notes include lime, juniper berries, rose, sandalwood and musk.
Angels' Share ~ Developed by perfumer Benoist Lapouza and inspired by the part des anges. The notes include essence of cognac, oak, cinnamon, tonka bean, sandalwood, praline and vanilla.
By Kilian Roses on Ice and Angels' Share will be available in refillable bottles inspired by Art Deco glassware; I will update with sizes when I can.

Hmm, these both sound sniff-able….I am sure the refillable cut glass bottles will make them have an aspirational price point I refuse to aspire to, but whatever.
Right now I am aspiring to an all new kitchen with retro look Big Chill appliances and soapstone counters with real hickory cabinets, so I am focusing on not generating any desire for anything else! 🙂 My bank account is still laughing at me, but a girl can dream, right?
Ditto on the pricing, ditto on the sniffability! I have liked his liquor-inspired scents so far, arguably more than the “regular” line.
I am redoing my living room and trying to keep myself under control, so I know that feeling.
Sniffable for sure, but the cucumber In one & the praline In the other gives me pause…
I have become less and less interested in Kilian..they have discontinued so many good scents. And Rolling in Love was terrible imo.
I have not even checked, perhaps they have discontinued all the ones I liked! Doesn’t matter much since I have never bought one.
Those bottles are so gonna make the prices of those Kilians to fly up high in the sky.
Bottles on left and right are 50 ml, I already saw people starting splits.
Thanks Lucasai!
Curious abou5 the price, but won’t likely be buying.
Price certain to be high…
Angels’ Share sound right up my alley. If I want both but end up only getting one, will saving $s on not buying one cancel out the cost of buying the other? ? – this could be the new perfumath!
You crack me up! Let us know how you work the logic out on this… I admire your ability to… umm…. organize the available information in a logical format that accomplishes your purposes. 🙂
How tactfully put! I am definitely going to steal your phrasing in order to be snarkily critical of fellow scientists.
Wow, I like the liquor bottle in the middle.
Such pretty glass that I want to grab it.
If they would just make a duplicate of Habanita, I would cave instantly.
Roses on Ice sounds charmingly weird, but Angel’s share sounds cozy. I’d love to sniff both!
Hmm Angel’s Share sounds alot like Arquiste No 57, which I have already- but that bottle!
I was thinking the same thing!
I have been waiting for someone to name a perfume “Angel’s Share!” Of course, it is a good fit for By Killian. Does the whiskey bar Angel’s Share in the East Village still exist? 20+ years ago my then boyfriend (now husband) and I had some lovely evenings there.
This means you have to buy it. Anniversary gifts don’t count in the damage poll.
THIS!
Excellent math!
Yes, Angel’s Share is still there, and still wonderful! An excellent date spot 🙂
Hello everyone,
I used to work for Kilian. That was before the purchase of the company by Estée Lauder.
I clearly remember at the time that Kilian said none of his perfumes would be discontinued !!! That was probably true before. My favorite ones at the time were Beyond Love (discontinued) and Liaisons Dangereuses. I thought that Imperial Tea was very nice and interesting. I think it’s also discontinued. At the time, I would justify the price of a bottle with the refills. Now everything is expensive and I feel sorry for customers who can no longer refill their bottles. But who cares, since most customers are either from Russia or the Emirates and all they want are new perfumes each time.
Am I still interested in smelling his new perfumes ? Yes. Buying them ? Maybe a refill if I really love them.
Ah, Imperial Tea, I really liked that one!
Very interesting. Thanks for sharing your experience. I guess its about fulfilling your obligations (profit margin) to the mother company.
