It's Monday and Umbrella Day. (Appropriately enough, I woke to the tail end of a storm, with a huge rainbow over the Caribbean Sea.) What fragrance are you wearing?
I will be on vacation all this week, so my only scent until I get back home will be Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess.
Reminder: 2/14 we're celebrating Valentine's Day. Wear the perfume you are most smitten with at the moment, or, wear a perfume given to you by a significant other.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2020, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

A dozen sprays of 28 La Pausa… Perhaps that’s why I’m still able to catch a faint whiff of it 3 hours later.
🙂
You are lucky that just a dozen sprays work for you. I have to bath on it to enjoy La Pausa for barely an hour. Still my favorite perfume ever! You smell fantastic!
My application method for En Passant!
I only need 8 sprays of the EDT for it to last the whole day!
Caron Nuit de Noël, for no reason other than that it’s in a box of samples I am determined to empty, and it’s a properly wintry day so I might as well. It’s one of those sturdy floral chypres they used to make, not *vintage* vintage but old enough to have lots of oakmoss. Remember when Caron used to be good? This is.
I do remember when Caron used to be good! I regret not buying more then.
Oh, me too! I would have stocked up on at least half a dozen. Too soon old, too late smart.
Ha, exactly.
I love that saying!
So sad that it’s so true!
House twins!
Louis Vuitton’s Attrape-Reves (Dream Catcher). Sample I got from the store the other day. I like how it makes me feel in this not quite cold enough, dreary winter day.
Great name!
I think this was written about in a recent Nez issue. How is it?
I like it – it is happy and bright, which gives me a nice contrast with the cloudy/rainy weather and the inner office hallway… 😀
Testing Paper Soap from a sample by J-Scent. It really is soapy and smells like I just got out of the shower. It reminds me of Aroma M Geisha Blanche, but I don’t have my sample of that one to do a side by side.
I got a call from my son yesterday, never a good sign when he texts me and actually wants to talk on the phone. He dislocated his shoulder Saturday night and had to go to the ER to have it reset.? Poor kid. I can’t imagine how much that must have hurt. He tried to be kind of nonchalant when he talked to me about it but I texted my daughter (they are both in the same college town, thankfully!) and had her take him some lunch and she texted me afterward and said he was pretty upset. These are the times when I wished I lived closer and could go check on him myself.
Ouch! That’s painful and hard to be away from mom and all the care and comfort he’d receive and you’d give! Hope he heals up quickly.
Thanks floragal!
But so nice that he was brave about it and had it taken care of before he called you! That’s a good sign.
This is true!
Yes!!
Oh no! That’s so painful. I hope he feels much better soon. And he took care of it before telling you! Great kid! ?
Thanks pl67!
OUCH!
Healing thoughts sending your way..
I will light another incense for him..
Thanks ltsg, much appreciated!☺️
Oh gosh – poor kid. I hope he makes a full recovery
Thanks yasmina, me too!
Oh dang, poor kid! Echoing others though, with how great he handled it on his own. That’s really something! Wishing him a speedy recovery.
Thanks lillyjo! He’s always been my most independent and resourceful kid, that’s why when he calls I worry. Glad my daughter is there to check in on him this week.
Ouch, I think the resetting is worse than the injury ?
Sounds hard to be so far away, but like others said, glad he took care of himself!
Yeah, he said that was by far the worst part and he’s generally not a complainer, so I know it must have been bad.☹️
Awww… and he was so careful trying not to upset you. Boys. They are awesome.
A friend of mine was telling me that he noticed (he pays for his son’s Lyft rides, connected to his credit card) one day that his son had taken a Lyft ride, unusual in itself as his son rides his bike everywhere–he’s in college in Ithaca, but one way, from a hospital back to his dorm. My friend immediately called his son. Turns out he had fainted, with the flu, and the school had called an ambulance and sent him to the hospital. He sheepishly explained that he had taken the Lyft back, but he hadn’t wanted to worry his parents!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, I am so glad your daughter was near. A dislocated shoulder is a big deal. I hope your son’s shoulder heals quickly. You have such great kids.
Aww, thanks OF.☺️ That story sounds just like something my son would do. I’m glad my daughter is just a few blocks away from him. They have gotten pretty close over the last year and half, they get together for lunch or dinner pretty regularly and there were a couple of times last year my daughter was dealing with things and called her brother before she called me. It warms my heart that they are friends as well as siblings.
Oh that’s so hard. Thinking of you both. After college, one of our (3) sons went to S Korea to teach, was sick and in the hospital for a week. So hard – couldn’t just hop on a plane for a couple hours. (Although I might have flown all the way if I had known it would be a week!) He felt well taken care of, but lonely and confused about an ever-changing diagnosis.
Oh man, that would be really hard! No matter how old they are, they are still our kids. Luckily my son is only about 2 and a half hours away, so if he really needed me, I would go.
Sorry to hear about your son’s injury. Hope he heals soon.
Thanks Aurora!
What a good boy. You taught him well. Hope he feels better soon.
Thank you, and thank you☺️ cazaubon!
Ouch is right! I’m so sorry to hear about your son’s injury – I’m glad his sister was able to look in on him. 🙂
Thanks- me too!
Good kid…you taught him well! Sendind healing thoughts for a quick recovery!
Thank you hajusuuri!
Awwwww! And Ouch! It’s sweet that your son didn’t want you to worry. Hope that he heals up OK.
Thanks Jalapeno, me too!
Sampling Cuoio del Dolci which is so far a warm, cozy animalic which seems like a good fit for a rainy day
Just looked that one up. Sounds amazing.
I’m wearing Tauer Orange Star, because my sweater still smells like Lonesome Rider from last time I wore it, and there’s some nice Tauer-y overlap between the two. Also, I just put up a belated post on the weekend thread, if you’ve ever wanted to try L’Artisan L’Eau du Fleuriste you may want to take a look…
Hi house twin! You smell great. I’ll have to try your combo; thanks for the inspiration! ?
That’s a lovely image. My husband was humming this weekend the incredibly moving “I will wait for you” from the classic French flick Umbrellas of Cherbourg. I think we might watch it this Friday for V-day 🙂
SOTD: Libre by YSL
I have not seen it in ages, I should watch it again too.
My husband’s favorite….
Starting Valentine’s day week in YSL Paris. A classic that I barely reach for these days, but when I wear it it makes me realize that what I need to add to my collection is not much anymore.
I still have 2 freebies left from the Anniversary weekend poll. I some is interested, please place dibs here and email me at monica67@aol.com. Thanks.
1. Serge lutens Chergui- 5ml decant.
2. Yves Rocher Vie Privée (vintage) 5ml decant.
I adore Paris YSL! My ultimate comfort scent that I’ve worn since it first came out.
So many samples and decants have always distracted me from my full bottles. Paris is one of those that when I wear it I regret not giving it much use more often. It is a beauty!
I would love the Yves Rocher.
I am emailing you now!
Can I dibs on the Chergui, if it’s still available? Thanks!
It is yours! Are you at the same address?
Yes, I was just going to email you if that’s easier. Thanks!
You smell beautiful PL67!
Thank you, Lillyjo! ?
Maybe it’s time to give your bottle of Paris a little more love?
I already placed in front of my cabinet. Paris time!
I’m in much needed sandalwood calm in PPP Venitiane. Have a great Monday everyone
I hope Vientiane gives you some calm vibes today. ?
Me too. It’s been a tough term work-wise
I’m wearing one of my desert island scents, Dame New Musk Man. Lovely.
Nice 🙂
Mr L woke up this morning and said, I am not feeling that well, can you make me my Dad’s tea. So, my apartment smells like chai tea (with a whole lotta ginger by request from Mr L) and I burned some Ylang Ylang incense.
SOTD is Parfum Sacre by Caron.
That’s so sweet! It’s great that you can make it for him now. Hope he feels better soon!
I appreciate it more when some one else makes it for me 😉
March is coming! ?
Uh oh, hope mr L is not coming down with something serious! Sending healing thoughts your way too!
well he certainly must be since he didn’t even give me a proper kiss goodbye this morning! 🙁
A true sign of malady!
Or maybe Mr. L didn’t want you to catch whatever it is that he has… ?
yay for ginger! I always crave it when I’m feeling less perky than usual. You are good to your sweetheart. 😀
That’s so sweet! I hope Mr. L feels better soon!
I remember someone on NST posting a recipe for Chai tea but I forgot to bookmark it. I need to search online for a good comforting Chai for the hubby. If anyone has ideas or a recipe, please let me know!
SOTD is TF Violet Blonde, which (for some unknown reason) is making me think of conversation hearts.
“Be Mine”
Violet notes, and sometimes iris, in perfume make me think of conversation hearts too. I think the powdery-ness does it. 😀
It’s raining here too. I am wearing Terry de Gunzburg Be Mine. The name fits the CP, and the scent fits the weather. I finished my sample: it was nice, but I won’t repurchase.
House twins.
House triplets in Rose Infernale.
I am, myself, commando. But I’m wearing a cashmere cardigan on which I sprayed Bengale Rouge yesterday. Boy, it’s a powerhouse of tenacity. Hard to decide if I should spray more or just enjoy the bit of wafting.
Will enjoy surfing through photos of Oscar attire today. I have absolutely no interest in awards shows but enjoy looking at the clothes. A reason to be grateful for the internet. (That and google maps…I’m always checking locations when I’m reading fiction or news articles.)
You smell lovely
I’m the same, I love looking at the fashion.
Speaking of umbrella day… my husband gave me an umbrella some years back from this company (no affiliation). They no longer have mine, which is black, white and pink with patterned bows. So very pretty… I love using it.
http://www.pareumbrella.com/new-products
Oh, those are fun! I have not had a “cool” umbrella in years.
yes! I like looking at the clothes more than anything else about the awards shows. I love reading books and looking things up online as I go. As a child I was a constant reader who wished for a “magic box” that would show me more about what I was reading. 😀
I tuned in long enough to see the Oscar for “Best Director”. I thought that was a pretty cool moment. But I usually don’t watch at all. I do enjoy seeing the red carpet recaps. Elton John’s suit was pretty cool!
Inspired by Regina, I’m in Tauerville Vanilla Flash and a dab of Amber Flash. These two work well together.
It’s overcast and warmish today. This has been a very weird winter.
I hope everyone has a good Monday! ?
You smell marvelous! I love both scents.
Thank you!
I love the Flash series and really enjoy incense flash on mr. yasmina
It really is a weird winter. I had to turn on my ac this morning.
oh! You smell great. I have something Flash from Tauer somewhere around here . . . must find it. 😀
So I’m not the only one having weird winter weather?
No, you most definitely are not. We’ve had a lot of 65 and 70 degree days this “winter”.
I’m not much behind you, temperature-wise. Lots of days in the 50’s lately, and even a couple in the upper 60’s.
I was all set to wear Coriandre until I smelled Clinique’s Aromatics Elixir when we were out for brunch yesterday. Had a lovely conversation with the woman who was wearing it (Fran) – it’s been her signature for over 30 years. That is my SOTD (wearing the eau de toilette version, which is more patchouli-forward). 😀
my MIL sometimes uses that perfume, but mostly Youth Dew is her signature
Oh, Youth Dew is another I adore. I prefer the bath oil to the spray. I get more resins from it.
It sounds awful, but I adore the light blue YD bottle.
AE is beautiful! 😀
Thanks Tiffanie! The dry-down is so green and soapy. It lasted pretty well through gym class at lunch time. I may add a spritz of Coriandre tonight when I get home and see what the layered effect is like. It might work!
I’m looking forward to trying AE in summer weather to see how it behaves. I’ve enjoyed my little travel spray this winter.
Wearing Invastion Barbare by MDCI. One of the more civilised male perfumes.
Spent some of the morning doing paperwork for insurance and will drop it off in the mailbox before work. Filling out that stuff is anxiety inducing along with even though my tax return was accepted by both federal and state governments, I hope my refund hits my bank account soon and hope it actually goes into my bank account. A few years ago, they put it in the wrong person’s bank account. What a fight that was because they punched in the wrong number and not mine. Almost didn’t get my refund that year. Woke up in Hedonist and now in an incredibly small drop of Chanel no 5 EDP.
No 5 EdP is my favorite. You smell heavenly. 😀
Good luck getting your refund Dawn!
Testing 1 2 3 : the new Angelys Pear by Nicolai. I do not run away in horror at pear, but so far this one smells like expensive house-cleaning fluid on me. No sillage, but powerful up close.
I’m off to my reading group this evening to discuss Underground Railroad, which I finished yesterday. Someone on NST also read it. I loved it. It was like the shadow/negative/dark reflection/horror underbelly (there is a word I am looking for, but it is NOT coming to me and it is not doppelgänger) of Huckleberry Finn. I am a little worried that someone like Jordan Peele will get his hands on it and reduce it to a horror story (which it is in part, but like Kosiński’s The Painted Bird, not Get Out.)
I finished the Charioteer by Renault…very good.
That was my fourth book by her
Which one has been your favorite so far?
The Persian Boy, it made me want to read the trilogy.
I fell in love with Bogoas. She has a wonderful way to create the “ancient world” and I had a hard time leaving that book once it ended. I also loved how she made the protagonist, whom is half-male (if you want to call it that) so submissive and feminine.
The Charioteer was such a brave book for Renault, given that time period and I read some where that her publisher basically denied her because this novel was “too hot to handle”. It was awkward, but passionate, and one of the best post war novels I have read.
The Last of the Wine and The King Must Die were also excellent.
I am also open to more suggestions of her books if anyone has any.
Sorry OaklandF for this long long reply…
oooh, Angelys Pear . . . hope it smells yum for you at some point in it’s development. I love some of the Nicolai scents I’ve tried but there is something a little harsh to my nose in the base of that line.
I still have nightmares about The Painted Bird, it’s a work of genius though.
The drydown to ‘Pear’ to my nose has some of the DNA of Week-end (in Normandy), but more feminine (but still a totally unisex scent). For me its a bust.
Whitehead’s The Underground Railroad will give you nightmares as well! I read The Painted Bird when I was pretty young, maybe 12 or 13. This book will make a similar imprint on anyone who reads it, IMHO.
12 or 13?! Wow. It was hard to stomach in my 30s.
I have a hard time with the base in some of the Nicolais, too. I think it’s whatever the chypre or oakmoss sub she uses. I find it murky and bitter. But, I wear some of them anyway! ?♀️
I used to follow all Nicolai releases but I guess other houses got in the way…but I will definitely seek this out when I’m at ZGO next time, thanks for mentioning!
It chills out– as I mentioned above, the late drydown has some similar DNA with Nicolai’s Week-end.
It was me who read The Underground Railroad. I loved it too!
It is umbrella day here. More rain, blech. Feeling sunny in Jour d’Hermes Absolu layered over Shikai Yuzu lotion. Grapefruity goodness.
Oh, used to love that lotion & should buy some more!
I really like it, too. It’s my usual bedtime scent. I also decanted some into a small travel-sized squeeze bottle to use as hand cream.
Decided to go with my fake boyfriend today and wear Black Orchid. Here’s the song that was going through my head at three thirty this morning
https://youtu.be/p02DgHeGdyI
Sorry ???
That was mean. That is a tenacious ear worm if there ever was!
Yeah… Sorry, but isn’t that a great video!?
Cute video.
Agreed!
Total ear worm! Lol. How much snow did you get? We got 6 inches, but today the sun and blue sky were back.?
Just about 4 inches but clear roads today! More snow Thursday.
Us too, I think. And temps in the teens! Brr? We’ve been spoiled this winter with above average temps.
What, did that earworm wake you up at oh dark thirty? Hope not!
I woke up thinking it was time to get up, and then couldn’t fall back asleep once I realized my mistake. I guess my mind was blank long enough for the song to sneak in!
Not at work today as I help my mum at home.
Still, perfume is a must. Ashoka from Neela Vermeire Creations for me.
An Ashoka fan here; I think you smell great. Hope your mom is making good progress following her surgery.
Umbrellas don’t last long in Wellington – it’s a windy place! I’m going floral today with Divine by Divine.
They wouldn’t last long here either. Still very windy in the Netherlands. You smell gorgeous!
Wasn’t able to post any comments over the weekend, so I am very late in wishing NST a happy birthday and congratulating Robin on her achievements! I’ve learned so much from everyone here, and I’m looking forward to seeing NST thrive for many more years.
SOTD is current formula Shalimar edt. Nearly undetectable, so perfect for my meetings today I guess.
Thanks FearsMice, and hope the meetings were reasonably painless!
Nice to see you post, FearsMice!
I’m wearing Baum du Doge today. I love this scent so much! Somehow I fear I don’t wear it enough because I just hate the idea of perfume in a spray can. 🙁
I just love the image you chose today, Robin! Mention of Umbrella Day reminded me of this picture I took in Nanjing, China, in front of their university art gallery one rainy day. I loved their practice of leaving them all outside.
https://flic.kr/p/HG6LkM
You smell wonderful.
Great shot, and you smell fantastic today!
I am wearing Le Cri today.
We had stormy weather in the northwest of Europe yesterday.
And this is what some folks in The Netherlands did:
https://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2020/02/09/sports/ap-eu-netherlands-riders-in-the-storm.html
brave or foolish? ?
That’s hilarious, something only the Dutch and the Belgians would enjoy. 🙂
I read about this and thought it was very funny! I actually thought that it had been cancelled.
You smell good!
Thank you!
They had to stop in the middle of the event.
The trucks that were supposed to deliver bikes for some teams were not allowed on the road toward the Oosterscheldekering anymore.
That bike race is crazy!! I thought that “Ride The Rockies” was wild, but that is in a league of its own. For the curious:
https://www.ridetherockies.com
Not affiliated.
My crazy weekend did not allow me to wish NST a very happy 15th anniversary! Thank you, Robin and contributors, for this (almost) daily simple pleasure.
Enjoying No 5 L’eau today. I think of it as a no-brainer, but I’ve been sniffing my wrists quite often today, too!
I think of it this way too.
Thanks irisjasmine!
SotD = Tauer Tuberose Flash
I adore tuberose. 😀
Joining Regina and Nancyleandros on the little NST Tauer love train today, woot woot! 😀 Thank you both for the inspiration.
Have a marvelous Monday, friends!
My Monday was pretty darned good, hope yours was too!
The storm is over, some sunshine, some rainy clouds and a little bit windy still, so everything weather today.
In Terry de Gunzburg Rouge Nocturne, the rose/patchouli worked its magic. I think I actually enjoy it a little bit more than PoaL, it’s less grandiose (although I enjoy the added incense to the patchouli rose) cosier and I waited a long time for a full bottle of RN.
I like Rouge Nocturne better than PoaL too. It is less aggressive and headache-inducing.
Hello house triplet, yes, aggressive is a good word for PoaL, it requires a certain mood.
Oh, that sounds like it is definitely worth a sniff!
Three Terry de Gunzburg are worth trying, I think. Rouge Nocturne (rose very natural smelling and patchouli) Rose Infernale (rose and incense, performance is a bit less than RN though) and Ombre Mercure (a Guerlain l’Heure Bleue type perfume).
Thanks!
Nicolaï Kiss Me Intense today. The almond note is really persisting today. Not complaining!
You smell great!
Started off in 4160 Tuesdays Red Queen, but will be joining the Terry de Gunzburg crew in a while with Rose Infernale.
Had to drive to work today, because the trains were not working because of the storm. I wore Ambre Nuit for some cosy feeling. Made some broccoli slaw with cheddar, roasted sunflower seeds and barberries for dinner, because i suddenly craved some crunchy green food.
We finally managed to find a wedding date, so we will marry in the lighthouse on the frisian Isle of Wangerooge in july und stay there for a week.
A lighthouse on a frisian isle, that sounds amazing!!!
Congrats in picking a date and location.
Congratulations, sounds lovely – a lighthouse!
Congratulations Tannina! The location sounds dreamy!
That looks just beautiful!
Congratulations on picking the date and location! It sounds magical.
Hermès Hiris today.
Beautiful!
Yay.
I should re-sniff that one. Last time I tried it, I thought I didn’t like iris at all.
Smelling fantastic, Deva!
Atelier Cologne Vanille Insensée today, feeling fluffy fresh to match the several feet of snow that blanketed the city over the weekend.
Riffed on a promising recipe I found in Bon Appetit’s “Healthy-ish” magazine this afternoon, making various substitutions to use up older veg and reduce my meat consumption.
Result: golden lentil stew with shredded jackfruit, cubed potatoes, and Tuscan kale, topped with fresh parsley and fried shallots.
It’s super good, quite proud of how this kitchen experiment turned out! Now to see if my hubby, eternal hater of all things bean/lentil except for the weird and senseless exceptions he decides on, will try it tonight.
I used to be like your husband. My gateway legume was chickpeas. From hummus to Chana Aloo . . . and then one day I woke up on the other side 🙂
That recipe sounds really good!
I hope your husband likes it.
That’s one of my favorites, you smell great! Your recipe sounds good too.
I’ve never tried jackfruit, but I’ve seen packages of it in dried form at some Costco stores.
This was my first time trying it beyond the dried jackfruit chips you can get in some Southeast Asian supermarkets as snacks.
I got a can of brined jackfruit, and it made a great substitute for shredded poached chicken in this recipe. If you’re looking to add some vegetarian-yet-meaty texture to some meals I give it a 10/10.
From what I read it isn’t a great protein source apparently so one should be careful not to consider it an equivalent meat substitute, but the soup had red lentils already so it was a perfect time to try it out!
I’ve had jackfruit “tuna salad” which was good, but didn’t taste like tuna salad, lol. They should just call it jackfruit salad. The brined kind tastes like artichoke hearts to me.
Agree, they shouldn’t really plug it as a meat substitute since it’s so low in protein.
Thanks for the info teebear and Elisa P!
Dior Gris Montaigne, from a splitmeet. I didn’t have time to post over the weekend (I spent all my online time doing flight iterations on google flights – anyone else spend hours doing that and then not book, after all?).
*raises hand*
And then the flights get more expensive….
Yep. Guilty.
I haven’t posted for a while, but today I’m wearing Dusita’s Pavillon d’Or.
Nice to see you Filomena, and hope all is well!
Hello Filomena!
Popping in real quick to say I’m wearing Paul & Joe Blanc from the partial bottle I bought off eBay since it arrived on Saturday. A nice, easy Monday perfume.
Oh yay, that must mean it is in good condition!
Yes, it smells perfect. And wouldn’t you know, this morning I got an eBay alert that yet another bottle has been listed for sale! Not sure if it’s coincidence or a seller taking advantage of the reemergence of the perfume on eBay.
Oh, interesting!
9 degrees F (approx -12 C) here this morning. Time for La Myrrh! I love the aldehydes in the cold. The drive to work was beautiful this morning; 6” of fresh snow and blankets of mist hanging in low areas. Some mornings I wish I could just drive around and take lots of photos.
Cheers!
It really was beautiful this morning, the moon was still out when I drove my daughter to school. I was glad to see the sun was back!?
Mmm you smell wonderful in La Myrrh.
Last night I made a “simple” recipe from The Great British Baking Show cake cookbook. I used a hammer, an ice pick, five bowls, a candy thermometer, two whisks, a mini-muffin tin, and my Kitchen Aid mixer. It was a coconut pineapple cake so I’m wearing Virgin Island Water today.
Forgot the food processor and the stove pot!
Holy cow! I hope it was worth all that!
Simple? Lol, I hope it was delicious after all that! You are ambitious, I don’t know if I would ever even try one of those recipes.
Egads! An ice pick???
For the coconut. First the ice pick, then the hammer. Then the food processor, and honestly a bag of unsweetened coconut probably would have tasted much the same.
Ah gotcha. I remember many years ago my dad used a mallet and one of his Phillips screwdrivers to open a coconut, since we didn’t have an ice pick.
Will you make that recipe ever again?
Yes–with canned pineapple and coconut from the bulk food section of the grocery store.
I did learn how to make an Italian meringue buttercream frosting which is delicious and not too difficult.
Omg that sounds Intense! Hope it was delicious
I’d have toake a run to Home Depot to make that cake! I hope it was worth it!
I wore VIW Sat night.
I watched several episodes when I was staying at my sister’s house! What a fun show.
Sniffin YSL Nacho Libre..jk..the bottle is gorgeous..the smell, no bueno. Too bad cause such a great bottle with the gold logo in the bottom. Not too much into logos but looks classy.
I’m really enjoying the photo of the day Robin! It’s all grey all the time today for me with intermittent rain. Bletch. As if Monday isn’t annoying enough sometimes… ?☔
SOTD = Agent Provocateur Eau Provocateur. It’s a lighter version of the L’Agent that I wore over the weekend, with added citrus and floral notes to the incense. Absolutely perfect choice for today.
Good to know! I’ve wondered how this one smelled.
I liked the spray sample so much that I got the full bottle before I used the sample up! Good thing, since the flankers of the original AP seem to disappear quickly.
I’ve noticed that too.
After some poking around on the Internet tonight, I’ve noticed that the original AP is also getting scarce.
Sounds like it smells nice!
? If you like citrus, orange blossom and incense, this is worth a sniff.
Very late, but glad you liked it!
SOTD = Hiram Greene Lustre
Very nice rose soliflore!
https://www.instagram.com/p/B8ZT__WB19-/?igshid=1ptvi1g86itai
That bottle has a rather nice curve to it. Does it feel good in your hand?
It has nice heft and feels good. My only complaint is the box is just a tad too small for it. I keep envisioning me prying it out and the bottle flying out in slow motion to finally land on the floor and shatter.
Uh oh. That box situation is no beuno.
Are you doing an indie week?
I’m doing a Rose Week! On IG, I decided that whenever I wear an indie, I will tag it hajusuuri_perfume_indieweek so I can track it even if I don’t wear indie the whole week. I am trying to do weeks of something along a theme to prompt me to wear more of a variety (and plan ahead) but not so strict like a whole month which is actually stressful ?.
Wearing Reglisse Noire tonight, several sprays.
I did no get a chance to comment on your post over the weekend. I hope your mom is doing better!
Thank you!
Are you back home now?
Yes, I’m back home.
?
In Tiger’s Nest today from a sample I got at Scent Bar yesterday. Pretty much smitten. Ugh, I need it! My hubs asked what my top few I sniffed yesterday were so I made sure to send him a little list. ?
I got in on hajusuuri’s split of Tiger’s Nest and am pretty sure I’ll need more once my decant is gone. It’s so good.
