Salvatore Ferragamo has launched Gilio, a new limited edition luxury fragrance for women. Gilio is intended as an homage to Florence, and shares its name and packaging design with the first Ferragamo fragrance, launched in 1960.
In this modern take on Gilio, the nuance of Italian Orris wafts through soft wooden accents and a luminous floral bouquet meeting the unexpected radiance of Angelica to reveal a crisp verdant breeze. Sweet Jasmine melts into creamy Sandalwood, earthy Vetiver and intense Patchouli. Profoundly connected to the House’s passion for exquisite craftsmanship , the fragrance is made of precious natural raw materials that evolve with the passing of time just like the Ferragamo’s vision.
Gilio was developed by perfumer Sophie Labbé.
Ferragamo Gilio is €700 for 50 ml; 400 numbered pieces were made.

700 euros for something that seems like a vintage avon bottle? Omg…
I’m sure it’s beautifully made and won’t look like Avon in person, but it is not to my taste either. Just as well, I will never see it in person 🙂
