PSA: our next swapmeet will be on Saturday, 7 September and our next freebiemeet will be on Saturday, 28 September.
Meanwhile, it's Labor Day weekend in the US. We're saying goodby to August and hello to September (don’t forget your rabbits on Sunday) with our standard open thread poll. Talk about anything you like — the fragrance you’re wearing today, your favorite back-to-school fragrance, whatever.
Or, ask a question about fragrance, then see if anyone else has asked a question that you can answer…
Note: the toddler bunny backpack is $50 AUD at Mister Fly in Australia.
Wore Putain des Palais this morning for a date with Mr. Marzipan….farmers market and coffee and muffins at our favorite bakery. The minis are all doing well and now we have time for each other which is so lovely. We have single handedly raised our three children with virtually no family support and have sacrificed a lot and I wouldn’t have it any other way because we adore them. And they are extraordinaryly bright and good kids. But it’s nice to be able to finally have some time alone as we did before we started a family.
Now wearing Paris Deauville. And thunk ?
Sounds perfect – enjoy the long weekend. And the whole “we made it!” feeling ;^)
Thank you!! Happy to hear that you and the Mister are heading back “home”. Would you believe I am still enjoying your tea ? ????
What a lovely way to spend the morning. Sounds like my kind of fun.
It really was fun and so relaxing.
PdP is lovely but I wore it so rarely I ended up sending my bottle to another home. After a couple hours on me, it just became too sweet. And that’s saying a lot, because I have a big love for sweets-edible and olfactory varieties equally. Does it last on you?
Oh that’s hysterical…. because on my wonky skin I get practically no powder or sweet as others talk about. I got a little bit of violet and a WHOLE lot of cumin ( I know, not listed as a note but that’s what I smelled). Lasted about three hours which for me is good. I have longevity issues as you know.
Yes, I asked because I thought it might be even more fleeting than usual for you. I got no skank at all with it, cumin or otherwise. Powdered Violet Sugar on me. Skin chemistry is so interesting…
It really is interesting! But I also find the temperature plays into it for me too. APLS, which I know you love is full on skank in the winter. Couldn’t wear it outside the house. In the summer the complete opposite…warm honeyed Amber.
Yay. That definitely calls for coffee and muffins.
? it was a real treat. I also picked up some homemade mozzarella which we had for lunch with an heirloom tomato and homegrown basil. Delicious!!
That sounds like a perfect day! Mozz, heirloom tomatoes, basil, and sometimes roasted veggies and olives tossed in are my summer staple meals, too.
Ooo I am liking this idea of adding roasted vegetables!!
Scent twins
We smell great ???
Agreed
Yay for alone time with your spouse! I never had kids, but I do love the time my husband and I have to do things just the two of us.
There you are!!! I have been thinking about you ??
It’s so nice to actually have some free time!! I have been cleaning like crazy the whole week long up until I went back to work on Thursday. Easier access to all rooms when no one is home ?
Yay! for quality of time with Mr. Marzipan. You will have plenty of time now to enjoy more activities alone and have fun!
Exactly!! And finally more time to meet up with friends ??
Ha! I love that! ??
We are gonna make it happen!!! ???
Those kinds of mornings, just the two of you alone together and enjoying each other’s company, is the silver lining of the empty nest 🙂
Perfectly put, ringthing ?. We have always enjoyed each other’s company and have remained in love and best friends for 24 years. But after 22 years of running around and putting the kids first it’s nice to be able to put ourselves first now.
What a nice date. Enjoy this new chapter!
We will 🙂 Thank you!
Loved this post! ?
🙂
Thanks for sharing. You and Mr. Marzipan done good!
Thanks, h!
Glad you had a nice day
Hermes “Vetiver Tonka” – in theory, anyway. It has long since worn off. I’m about to board the plane from Málaga to Düsseldorf, after a short caretaker visit. Believe it or not, the 6 months of exile is almost up! In 2 weeks’ time The Other Mister Königsberg and I fly back to Málaga permanently. :^)
This is really funny because the Saturday question on Australian Perfume Junkies is about favorite Hermes and my complaint is longevity! Especially those Hermessence. Although I adore Paprika Brasil and it lasts if I spray it on clothes.
To be fair I was doing a lot of housework in high temperatures so most perfumes would have struggles. Ambre Narguile is the longest-lasting Hermessence in my experience. :^)
Congratulations on the imminent end to your exile!
Thanks – it can’t come too soon for TOMK, who has been counting the days since we started.
Huzzah for your impending return to Malaga!
Huzzah indeed!
Great new about going back to Malaga!
It will be nice to feel settled. Loads of new challenges as we now need to sort out residency and all the bureaucracy of making a new life in another country. :^D
SOTM is Memo Italian Leather for that lovely tomato-leaf note. Mr. G and his son are off to do manly things in a manly fashion, so I have the place to myself for a few hours. Am thinking about rearranging furniture, but I should probably go outside and pull weeds instead. Boooo!
I love Italian Leather so much!
Definitely one of my desert island scents. You smell wonderful SheriG, no matter what you choose to do!
It really is great stuff.
“Manly things in a manly fashion” cracked me up 🙂
Which reminds me…
Ummmmmm… Mandom! Haha!
OMG. Those old ads for that were so hilarious!
Ha, exactly what to wear while doing manly things in a manly fashion.
“Manly things in a manly fashion” somehow brings to my mind Monty Python’s “Lumberjack Song”.
Ha! I was listening to that about a month ago, had an earworm for it???
Wearing Amouage Epic today. We are waiting for a response from my aunt so see if she is coming over for the holiday. We do hope that we hear something soon. If not, we are going to the county fair to eat a bunch of fair food.
Please eat something deep-fat-fried for me. Extra points if it is sugary, like a funnel cake!
Didn’t go to the fair today but going tomorrow though. Went for a drive and then we almost forgot that we needed dog food.
I’m in Chanel Paris-Deauville today because we all here seem to love it very much and it’s fitting another day with 31*C outside.
Tomorrow is meant to be the last day of the heatwave and temperature is said to drop by 10 degrees on Monday. I’m looking forward to having a breather.
I’m slowly starting to prepare things for my holiday in the Alps. I bought a new backpack, exchanged some Euro to have my pocket money and so on. I will have to decide what perfume and how many of them I should take on my 10-day-long trip. Any suggestions are welcome.
When I did my vacation recently I took 3 perfumes.
Now that I am back I am putting my BWF on the back burner because I am actually sick of them. So maybe take more of a variety. Lesson learned.
For my 20-day trip I took a little selection of Tauers, Chanels, Guerlains and VCAs, from summery to sleepy to autumnal. Not sure if that helps 🙂 A trip to the Alps sounds incredibly romantic and lovely.
I attended a funeral mass for a former colleague’s spouse so I kept it low key with Satori.
Hi Petunia!
Satori is perfect for a low key scent.
? Hi there! Nice to see a comment from you..
I hope that your SOTD was comforting during the funeral mass.
It was lovely and low key.
I’m wearing I Smell Good Earl Grey perfume oil from a company that unfortunately no longer exists. The Earl Grey is a very wearable bergamot. They had a great Vanilla perfume oil also.Just enjoying the transition to fall feeling in the air.My favorite time of year.
Boy, really feels like early fall here today even though it is warm.
Good Afternoon NSTers
So, after the discussion yesterday I took ElisaP’s advice and went to the department store and tested Aliage. Beautiful green fragrance. I love it. I also tested another EL I have never smelled Knowing..and I swooned. Gorgeous. And I did have to ask for the testers. Alas, it was worth the trip.
Tea of the day this morning was Marco Polo and this afternoon I am sipping Bon Cheri vanilla tea.
I know! I love Knowing!
How have I not smelled that one until now?
And if you would have sniffed them in their original version prior to reformulation you probably would have passed out in the store ??
Funny thing is, with more and more new niche companies cropping up churning out thousands of new fragrances a year one forgets about these old classics. I grew up in the 1970s and the ELs were ubiquitous in my house… I wore all of them. They were highly affordable and easily accessible.
Even today EL is still affordable
I am late to the party
They are affordable!!! So get yourself a bottle or two! You know, ltsg, you really need a time machine to transport you back to the 70s. Your love of Chloe and now these older Estee Lauder a made me think this thought.
Knowing, Azuree and Aliage will go on the list or maybe I will get lucky during the swap meet. On the evil-bay they are also affordable for minis
My house was like that too. My favorite was Cinnabar, it’s still good.
Oh yes!! I adored Cinnabar!! And Private Collection!! Those were winter time Staples.
Loved cinnabar
Would ask for it every Christmas ?
another one I have to smell. Adding Cinnabar to the list. I did try PC, very good
Knowing is so great. Glad you got to sniff some classic Estée Lauder perfumes.
It is!
For the price of the BK lipstick I could buy a bottle of knowing..haha
Exactly!
Aliage was my signature scent for a good two years while in college. I also went through a White Linen, Beautiful, and Knowing phase. All of them are gorgeous scents. Tops for me is Tuberose Gardenia, too!
The dry down to Aliage is so soft, but this is the current version. I need to get my hands on some vintage and compare
You smelled great during college
A beautiful, not-too-hot day here, so I am heading to Art in the Pearl, an outside exhibition for artists and craftspersons. I particularly love the fused glass artists and the paper artists. So much creativity. I think I’ll wear my new layering discovery, TF Patchouli Absolue over Zoologist Civet. Deliciously skanky!
Sounds nice! I love art festivals. We have a big one every year on the waterfront and some of the work is just outstanding. I particularly love creative jewelry. Enjoy!
That Civet is great. Still do not own a full bottle, but it remains on my list possible future investments!
So, suffering from incessant Kate Bush ear worms this past week, I’ve been YouTubing her videos. They are so awful they almost cure me. But not quite. Love love love her music still. Some how I missed her Jazzercize-style videos in the 80s that are almost too terrible for camp. Worth checking them out if you need a laugh, but beware of the ear worms… ? ? ?
I remember first seeing Kate on a video broadcast via Saturday Night Live – Wuthering Heights. I was (and still am) enthralled with her. Yea the 80s videos were incredibly campy, except for the Cloudbusting short film she did with Donald Sutherland. I love love love the video for Sensual World, too!
Oh I like the sound of those two layered!
That layering combo sounds very good.
I don’t recall smelling TF Patchouli Absolue!
I’ve been to previous Art in the Pearl and enjoyed it a lot!
In BoE after my shower last night, and refreshed with a good two sprays this morning. Mmm-mmm good! Just right. Any time. Any place.
I’ve never seen so many flying bugs as they have here. Can’t wait for the first cold snap to put them where they belong! I just had to trap another bee/wasp and escort it outside. That’s about the tenth one this week. I jump in and out quickly and hurry T-Rex in and out, but they just hang out ON my van. I lifted the hood the other day because my house battery wasn’t charging. (The battery isolator fuse box had come loose). Under the hood there were 20-40 bees and flies cannibalizing their dead comrades in the engine compartment! Ugh!
Come to think of it, I wonder if they’re getting in through the engine compartment openings?!
Come on FALL!! ???
Ah bugs!
Our last day of vacation in Oslo I got stung by a wasp. I swelled so bad I had to go to a pharmacy for cream. Good grief.
Back in NYC, there are few wasps but lots of cockroaches
Ha, yeah, we have plenty of those in sunny Florida, too. They like to dress it up and call them Palmetto bugs, but they’re nothing more than giant cockroaches that fly like kamikaze planes. Sorry about your wasp sting, sounds decidedly unpleasant!
Ugh! “Palmetto bugs”. The first time I saw one, I screamed bloody murder. It put to shame all the city roaches I had ever seen up north.
Ha! I had a very traumatic experience when one flew down my shirt and ended up getting lodged between my bra and my boobage. *Shuddering in horror at the memory of those feet and antenna scrabbling around* ?
Oh yuck about the bugs. I hope you and T-Rex are not allergic to bee / wasp stings but regardless, they’re painful!
I’m good, but I worry about T-Rex because she had a acute reaction to ant bites in the past. ?
Still coughing and coughing and feeling a bit sorry for myself as this is the fourth week of hacking up a lung (went to the urgent care about 10 days ago, and was nearly laughed out of the joint . . . I guess bronchitis or whatever I have doesn’t warrant!) It is gorgeous and sunny out, and the birds and squirrels are making a racket. Would love to go for a walk but between the tight chest and the coughing I am just not feeling up to it. Boo hoo! ANYWAY, put on a drop or two Narciso Musc oil and am contemplating my weekend from the coziness of my bed— but with all the windows and doors wide open, and the kitten dragging in dried up magnolia leaves nearly as big as he is.
Am curious about folks’ fave tomato perfumes or perfumes with prominent tomato notes. I actually like Demeter’s quite a lot, but it lasts a nanosecond on me. ? ? ? ?
Feel better! Sorry about the cough.
Handing you a virtual cuppa of tea and honey.
Eek! If you have bronchitis I am surprised they didn’t give you antibiotics!
Favorite tomato leaf notes are two discontinued ones….Annick Goutal Folavril and Pucci Sole 149. Two other good ones are Eau de Champagne ( I thunked that bottle in record time) and Demeter Tomato.
Yes!!
Pucci Sole 149. A lovely greeny floral.
Ha!! You are the only one who knows that one! I could kick myself for not buying a bottle in Sephora when it was readily available.
Bronchitis is pretty serious. My dad has it, and he was prescribed antibiotics. Maybe try another doctor? I hope you feel better soon.
Apart from Un Jardin sur le Nil, I cannot think of any scents with tomato I tried, and even Jardin is not really tomato-centric.
I have an appt this coming Tuesday. When I made it last week I was optimistic I would want to cancel it by the time it came around. Guess not.
Now that the idea is in my head, I would be very happy if the next Jardin focuses on tomato leaf!
You’ve gotta try CB I Hate Perfume Memory of Kindness! It’s not the most long lasting, but it is a very good tomato leaf perfume. Email me. I have the absolute and can send you a little to try. However, I think I will need to order sample vials.
So sorry you’re still sick. Last time I had that it lasted nearly six weeks. Hang in there!
Parfum d’Empire Corsica Furiosa has a huge dose of tomato leaf. Just gorgeous!
Ooo!! Forgot about that one!! It always reminds me of Deva.
Sorry you’re not feeling well, it’s bad enough in the winter but in the summer when it hangs on and on….yuck. Hope you feel better soon.
I used to have a bottle of DKNY Women, it has a really nice tomato note. Kind of an oddball scent that I liked but it’s a tall skinny bottle that I knocked over one too many times so I swapped it. Now I kind of want to smell it again.
4 weeks of coughing sounds serious, and something that a doctor should see. And if the first one doesn’t take it seriously, find another doctor who will.
I hope you feel better!
I wore Cierge de Lune this morning for a coffee/tea/puppaccino date with the neighbors and their dogs. We had a good rainstorm last night, so it’s just a bit cooler and greener here today.
I went through my stash and found a number of decants that were evaporating. Made me sad. I’m giving some thought to the swap meet. I might limit it to offering/accepting full bottles or travel sprays…they stand the test of time a bit better. Also, I need to quit hoarding things and just USE them. Ugh.
“…with the neighbors and their dogs.” ??
Everyone needs a little tea and socialization, especially my shy girl. ?
I agree on the hoarding piece. I am working my way through decants for the same fear of evaporation.
Totally in the same boat with more decants than I can possibly use up faster than they may evaporate. I went through a box of decants recently and pulled out some evaporating ones to try and focus on using up.
I’ve done the same thing, trf. I placed some decants on top of my dresser….maybe I’ll use them if they’re in full view!
Puppacino, what a great word!
And Cierge de Lune is awesome.
Cierge de Lune is lovely! Thanks for suggesting it last weekend as a bedtime scent; it is very comforting. ?
You smell great, and I hear you on the decants. I stopped buying them for that reason. Love having a date with the dog!
I avoid decants when at all possible. I’ll try to find mfr samples, or other “closed” systems (ala Scentbird, Olfactif, fragrancenet travel sprays), minis or small bottles. But that really does limit what one can get one’s hands on.
I’m wearing Roja Gardenia pour Femme, something I found in a search through my sample stash the other day. It’s odd because it has no gardenia notes in it, just other florals. It’s pleasant but awfully sweet, and there’s one note I really don’t like–I suspect it’s mimosa. Last night I tried Sunshine Man and boy was that oppressive. After two hours I tried scrubbing it off but couldn’t quite get rid of it. That one is a clingy guy!
Worried about my mother, because the staff at her assisted living facility have recommended that we move her into the Alzheimer’s unit, aka “Memory Care.” It’s a locked area to prevent wandering. She doesn’t present that problem, but she is quite confused and not sleeping well because she keeps rearranging her room, and she would have more activities there in the daytime and also there’s more staff who could pay attention and interact with her. It costs more too. I toured the facility last weekend and it was surprisingly nice, and well set up with very good bright lighting, a kitchen and dining area with a low counter for snacking or having coffee, and even a fenced-in outdoor patio where people can go sit during the day. I know she would like that (once it cools off some–too hot now). However, I think (a) another move so soon would be even more disorienting for her and (b) she’s still aware enough that she would sense this is a demotion and be hurt and upset about it. The staff said that there are people there at all ranges of dementia, and some can sit and converse, but I didn’t see them when I was there (it was afternoon nap time after lunch). My brother is coming in 10 days for her birthday and we are waiting until he can see it also before we decide. Fortunately, the room layout would be just the same and we can move her furniture there and set it up exactly as it is now, and perhaps that would help. I appreciate that in this forum we can share some of these personal stories of trials and triumphs, thank you.
Sorry to hear your mom is facing some more challenging changes. How is her health, physically? Also, hoping your brother can lend you some much needed support!
Thank you, Deva. She has numerous other health problems and is wheelchair bound and on multiple medications.
I agree that Sunshine Man is clingy.
Sorry about your mom. I hope you and your brother find a solution.
Thinking of you with your mom. My best friend from school’s mom, who had been endlessly kind to me when I was a gawky teenager and an out-of-sorts student, has been in an Alzheimer’s facility for two years now. My friend has moved her twice. Once because she never got to be outside as the unit was on the second floor and once because the doctor associated with the facility was a pompous you-know-what. Just keep on being concerned and involved. There are no easy answers.
Calypso, went through this with my dad.
Then mom. And my aunt.
There are no easy answers.
One thing my sister and I always kept as a standard for making this tough calls was safety. Mom didn’t have vascular dementia until the very end, but she had so little sight left she needed full time assistance.
We didn’t think my aunt needed memory care mostly because my mom and dad had kept her going for a long time with them. Once she was in assisted living, we knew within weeks how much confabulation was going on.
Our saying was “do the best we can, with the resources we have, in the time we have”.
I am sure you and you brother will do the best you can. I have walked in your moccasins and will keep you in my thoughts.
Thank you, that is a good motto to keep in mind.
Calypso, that’s such a tough decision. My mom was in a memory care facility, and the increased staff to client ratio really helped her. She had been in a classic “nursing home” (I know there’s a better term), but there wasn’t enough to keep her busy.
You might visit the wing at different times, like breakfast or right afterwards, when folks are more fresh. Review the current activities calendar, and check the ones for a couple of months prior if possible. If there’s a good variety of things to do, she might like it just fine. I’m sorry you’re going through this, and can certainly relate!
Good advice, thank you.
I’d go back with your brother at a different time of day when you can get a good idea of the condition of the other residents. Assuming there are enough people she would be able to converse with, I’d move her. It sounds like she needs more attention and interaction than she’s getting where she is.
Calypso, I’m so sorry. My mom had dementia and rearranged her room, too, because she said we moved her every night to a new place and she was trying to make it “homey.” She could not remember her room from one day to the next, so maybe moving your mom to the Memory Care area won’t be such a big change. As Nancyleandros says, the increased staffing ratio can help a lot.
Calypso, I’m sorry you are facing difficult choices with your mother, it’s great that you have sibling support. My dad had dementia and he WAS a wonderer, the locked unit was a godsend because he would have been an escapee without it. The only facility I could find for him wasn’t fancy but the staff was great and he got plenty of supervision. The transition might be easier than you think.
That is encouraging, thank you.
Calypso, I agree with several of the other posters who have said that there aren’t any easy answers in situations like yours. Just gotta do the best you can. Hugs.
Thank you.
I’m so sorry you’re going through this, It helps to have your brother assess the situation as well. Even if she is aware, she may not remember and the focused attention may alleviate some of her anxiety.
THANK YOU so much to all of you who have chimed in to express sympathy, advice, and support. It means a lot to me. It’s also good to realise how many people have been through much the same thing. What a hard problem as more people live longer and then we children aren’t always so young either as we deal with aging parents. This has made me resolve to seek out a local support group. I know they exist, and perhaps a local one would provide friendship and more specific kinds of advice. I am happy to say, when I went last weekend to visit there, by chance I encountered a visiting nurse and we chatted awhile. She goes to many other facilities in the city and told me she thinks this one is the very best. Now, I am sure this was a pure coincidence and not some sort of set-up, and I was very happy to hear what she had to say.
I don’t know if you are retired or still working Calypso, but my work EAP was really helpful when my dad starting going downhill. Also, AARP has a wealth of free information about support groups.
My sister and I have all our plans made in advance, so her son doesn’t have to try to figure it all out. To me, taking care of your own future and your brother his – is one of the best gifts you can give your family.
Heretic Smudge for a day of tennis watching while cleaning out. Two big trips to Goodwill already this morning.
I’m going to a film festival in a couple weeks (Fantastic Fest), which means a lot of time sitting in packed theaters next to people who may or may not appreciate perfume as much as I do. Trying to find the most crowd friendly ones in my collection that don’t bore ne.
Wearing Mandarine Basilic today. It’s a contender.
I’m so excited for you (and jealous) to go to Fantastic Fest! I hope to hear how you enjoyed it there and which were your favorite films when you get back. Maybe one year the boyfriend and I will go.
I’ve never been, SO excited. I’ll make sure to report back 🙂
You may be able to wear some that I included in your package ?
Oooooo I love surprises 😀
Currently in Lush Lord of Misrule (still on the frivolous theme). Earlier today I tried Jo Malone Orange Bitters and I think that I may be partially anosmic to it, because it smells too weak even for a JM perfume. Orangey, sweet, dry – but very, very faint.
Thank you so much, everyone who commented on my yesterday’s post. Once again, I am overwhelmed by your kindness.
The news on fridge is not good. We have to spend several days without using it at all, and then on Tuesday the techinician will come again, and we will find out whether it can be repaired at all. I am mentally preparing myself to the worst – having to buy a new one.
On the other hand, my injury seems to be healing fine, though I need to be patient. Yesterday my ring cushion arrived, and it helps. However, my house panther decided that this cushion is for her. ? Typical cat.
Here she is enjoying this new ‘cat bed’:
https://www.instagram.com/p/B10cyOsCUXf/
Oh my goodness what a precious baby!!! I adore black cats with green eyes. I think you have lost your cushion ?
Thank you! Her eyes normally look yellow, but she has a green ring around her pupils, and they do tend to look green or greenish on most Instagram pictures.
Ummmm… I think the cushion is for her. Just saying.?
I am trying to negotiate with her.
And she doesn’t look a bit guilty about it either! Apropos of nothing, I thought of all cat lovers here when perusing LLBean last night:
https://m.llbean.com/product?skCatId=70223&csp=a#70223
The cat version is so adorable, and 20% off!!!??
Glad your injury is healing and still have fingers crossed for your fridge!
Ha! I bought those for my daughter for her birthday one year. They also have a dog version ?
I saw that! But I got the sale pair, which I liked just as much as the dog pair.
Honestly, Deva, they all look great!
I own those. They are not very comfortable so they live on a shelf in my closet. As recently as last week I pulled them out to get rid of them, and just couldn’t. Not yet. ?
Uh oh…
I live and work in slippers (ya, I know) so I am probably the most picky person you’ll meet in the slipper dept. Less princess-and-whine-about-the–pea feet will probably be very happy in them!
Oh gosh I have those!!! They are comfortable.
Oh, good to know because I ordered a pair! Lol!
Cool! The raccoon slippers are super cute. I did notice at Walmart last year they had their version of the cat slippers, same colors and everything!
Cool-looking slippers! I have a pair with cats on them – the design is not so striking, but they are cute and comfortable. Then my mother saw my slippers and bought herself an identical pair. We joked that we are like servants – wearing our mistress’ livery. 🙂
So accurate when it comes to the world of cats! Everything on the planet is for entertainment (mice, birds, squirrels) or to serve (bipedals) the ruler of the Kitty Kingdom! ??
We had a cat EXACTLY like that when I was a child. The cat was such an independent spirit that it never got a name. My dad just called “Cat!” when he fed her.
Black cats are awesome. It’s like having a little panther at home.
you have a beautiful insta feed!
Making me miss my cat..
Thank you. Pets bring so much joy in our lives.
She is one with the cushion.
I admit: that cushion looks as if it was meant for her.
Our fridge died in April, one week before we were leaving to Montreal, so I sympathize.
As for the cushion, I believe it is now a cat bed for your gorgeous baby. 🙂
Yikes. That’s probably the worst time to lose a fridge.
It looks like you need to get another cushion. That one has already a new owner! ?
We are sharing. She lets me use it from time to time.
What a gorgeous kitty! Love how they just assume that everything we own belongs to them 🙂
Cats are so genuinely and sincerely self-centered that it becomes and endearing quality. 🙂
Oh my! Your “house panther” looks exactly like my much loved Jinx kitty did.
Jinx is an excellent name for a black cat.
I went through the refrigerator replacement thing about four years ago, so I sympathise. I too lived out of just an ice chest for awhile as I decided what to do and whether the old one could be saved. Happily, my new one is fantastic and a bit bigger, so I love it. It’s too bad you aren’t here in the US, because a lot of stores have big sales on appliances over Labor Day weekend. Good luck!
Thanks!
Heretic Smudge to clear the energy. I wore it to yoga this morning – just a light spray – and now I’m gonna really spray. Happy Labor Day!
I think I’ll join you post shower!
Nice!!
I love Smudge, perfect for yoga.
In Eldo Remarkable People for a day of deep cleaning at home. Doing lots of things at home this holiday weekend and also finding some time to relax.
Happy Saturday everyone!
Sadly I found Remarkable People decidedly unremarkable. 🙂
Agree! It didn’t move my heart at all. I just finished my sample and no need more of it.
Enjoy the deep cleaning and relaxing.
Thanks!
How was the beach?
Very peaceful and relaxing! Wish I could go again soon, but I don’t see it happening.
Remarkable People was a scrubber on me! I’m glad you didn’t have that experience.
It was not a scrubber on me, but I didn’t like anyway. Money saved!
Commando. We’re in the mountains at a friend’s cottage. Sadly my friend sold the cottage recently, so this will probably be our last visit. Went for a long walk this morning (2 1/2 hours and steep gradient), but my youngest really liked it. Goes to show they can appreciate life beyond screen time, once you drag them away.
That sounds so nice! Sorry it will be your last time.
Solstice Scents Blossom Jam Tea Cakes which I am enjoying this one much more than the first time I tried it. Today I am getting flowers, cakes and fruity tea.
I started watching Gypsy on Netflix last night. It’s nerve wracking yet also diverting watching the ever beautiful Naomi Watts making impulsive choices. ? choices that don’t involve perfume like most of mine ?
Let’s hear it for impulsive perfume choices. The story of my life! 😉
Wow, so much good stuff to read above.
I love LOVE that backpack!!
I am in AU Dela today by Bruno.
It seems it is the one that I have the most bottles & Bub’s of.
I was thinking that would make a fun & funny CP? True confessions of a collector (I am not worthy) we could do as many perfumes as you have BuB’s for in descending order throughout the week… I am so curious….
I think I would fail because I don’t have a lot of backup bottles and if I do it’s only one per fragrance. Right now I am purchasing back ups for the mini Marzipans of very inexpensive Pacificas and the Escada LEs. Buying them discounted online as Christmas presents.
I will never reveal how many backup bottles I own.
???
Heh, you and me both but I know you have me beat by about a lot ?
I’m envisioning a very large “panic room” the size of a warehouse, filled with BUB’s?
A perfume panic room. ? Excellent!
❤️?
YES! 😀
Of course you shouldn’t.?
???
And I will never ask.
I would totally fail the BUB project. I’m not sure I have a single one. But I have enough bottles in total that the lack of a backup for anything isn’t really an issue.
Me too. I’m a complete and total perfumista failure, without a single BUB… ??♀️
Almost twins!!
As would I. I’ve nary a one.
Take a look at the backpack selection there…the bunny isn’t even the best one.
I’m looking forward to a week off work! My mother is visiting, and we’ll be doing some shopping for sewing fabric, visiting a few relatives and having a generally unhurried time. My mother is nearly 89, so we won’t be rushing about. It’s a beautiful spring weekend, we went to an 80th birthday afternoon tea yesterday, and my choice of Mito EdP seemed very appropriate.
I’m still thinking about today’s perfume, certainly something to celebrate the sunshine.
Have a great time! Sounds like a lovely break 🙂
Enjoy your week off Gaynor.
Have a wonderful vacation time with your mom!
Sounds like a fun week! Any exciting sewing projects planned?
I kinda miss sewing! I sewed some of my own clothes and almost always sewed Halloween costumes for my daughter. I had quite the fabric stash at one point. Guess I can collect almost anything!
I hope you have a wonderful week with your mom. ❤️
Ahhh…. the weekend! and a long weekend too! SOTD is (was) Atelier Cologne Cedre Atlas, which I quite like (bergamot / lemon/ black currant/ cedar) though it only lasts a few hours.
My project this weekend is going thru my cosmetics etc to pack up a bunch to be sent to Project Beauty Share — whoever mentioned that recently, thanks!! I have so many cosmetic things I’ve never used. Better if they go to a new home.
Of course, I stand here pondering 9 shades-of-brown eye shadow palettes, most never used even once, frozen with indecision over which ones to part with. I mean, that one has this gorgeous champagne shade, unlike any of the others, and this one has a sparkly dark gray, unlike any of the others, and… yeah it’s no mystery why I have 9 mostly-too-similar eye shadow palettes. Did I mention that I hardly ever wear makeup anyway? Yeah. There ya go.
Wow, I have far too much cosmetics too, but they are all worn at least a few times, before being banished to the back of the cupboard. I still wear makeup every day, but ever since I found my holy grail Clinique neutral eyeshadow duo I have gotten really boring with it. I’m also wearing the same jewelry every day! Sooo lazy.
Project Beauty Share will accept some lightly used cosmetics, which is great.
Yeah I’m with you on the jewelry. Now that I work from home I hardly ever wear any, and I have sooooo many pairs of earrings! I should wear them even if I’m just home all day.
I keep buying eyeshadow pallettes because I keep trying to find a good one – one where the color payoff is rich, there is not too much fallout, etc. etc. Maybe I should try the Clinique stuff!
I’d like to claim I had some rationale behind buying all those palettes but “ooh! shiny!” would be more accurate.
?! Oh does that ever sound familiar!
The brands I’ve had the best experiences with are Guerlain, Edward Bess, Shiseido, and Smashbox. But most recently, Sephora brand. They’ve been making some really good eyeshadows in the past couple of years and they’re cheap as chips.
As far as fallout, I rarely have that issue, which I’ve chalked up to having good brushes. But it’s possibly the products I use. ?
Thanks for the recommendations! I’m tempted by the Clinique offer right now where you get a free mascara and lots of other stuff if you spend $29…but maybe I should reevaluate my eyeshadows first since the thing I really need is Mascara.
Lovely fall weather day, went out to a birthday lunch and am now lazing around with the dog, my favourite way to spend the afternoon. Wearing SL Fleurs d’Oranger but it’s boring me, so I’m going to blitz it with some Profumum Vanitas.
That sounds like a great way to spend a Saturday.
Diptyque Essences Insensées 2016, aka The Rose One — honey-sweet but never cloying. I can never decide which is my favourite rose of all roses (it’s usually ELdO Rossy de Palma Eau de Protection, though I’m fickle) but right now, this one is.
For some reason I’m infatuated with Chloe Sevigny – I don’t think I’ve seen any of her movies. Anyway I blind bought the perfume Little Flower collaboration with Regime des Fleurs. I’ve not tried anything from this house, the notes really appeal to me. Palo Santo (I’ve been on a PS kick lately) and rose.
I didn’t know much about her, but her performance in Bloodline is fabulous. She’s a somewhat minor character, but very strong and fascinating. It’s on Netflix.
Thank you Calypso, I’ll check that out! ?
I just watched her on the Henry Louis Gates show Finding Your Roots (along with Michael Moore and Laura Linney). I think it was a re-run from earlier this year.
She was memorable from her first performance in Kids, 25 years ago—Sheesh! I saw it in the theater, so feeling very, errr, “mature” by writing that sentence. That’s a movie that still comes to mind at random moments. Good, but disturbing film.
Also very good in Big Love, and there’s this series (I think on Netflix) called Hit & Miss that I enjoyed and wished had gotten another season. She plays a trans hit woman in England, who is suddenly saddled with a family to care for.
Anyhow, those are the random Chloe Sevigny things that popped in my head.
Super fun ‘fume day: went to the Aftel Archive of Curious Scents in Berkeley today. What a fantastic experience! Mandy Aftel greeted and engaged every visitor. The collection of historic perfume ephemera was fascinating. But the most amazing part of the museum was being able to sniff all the different perfume materials, in both their raw and distilled forms, and even compare modern and antique distillations (to see how the scents changed as they aged and concentrated).
Today (at various times, before and after shower) I’ve been wearing Botega Veneta, Pacific Breathtaking (a lovely cardamom-forward, spicy dry vanilla), Paris-Deauville, plus I sampled a few Aftel scents from the museum.
This has been on my list of things to do – thanks for the review to remind me!
Oh nice! That Scent Archive sounds fantastic! Which Aftel perfumes did you try?
While I was there I tried Lumiere, Memento Mori, Oud Luban and Palimpsest. Sniffed a few others. I wouldn’t mind getting a sample of Oud Luban to spend more time with. The others were pleasant and likable but nothing jumped out immediately as “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!” Admittedly, my nose was overwhelmed at that point, but at those prices, I don’t feel too compelled to give them more of a try.
At home I also have samples of Cuir de Gardenia, Vanilla Smoke and Wild Roses. None are for me:
– I love leathers and white florals, but Cuir de Gardenia starts out more campfire or barbecue pit on me.
– Vanilla Smoke was too ashtray-forward; it didn’t compare favorably with AC Vanilla Insensee which I already own.
– Wild Roses is lovely, but the sample is all I need given the roses I already have, the cost, and its failure to induce immediate FB-lust (versus, for example, my experience with several of the Tauer roses).
I’ve actually concluded that all-natural perfumery may not be the holy grail for my nose.
Spent the day taking my mother on a field trip to walk outside then out to lunch, then stopped by a friend’s house to swim. At different times today I wore Cuir de Lacombe, YSL Nu and Chanel No 5 body powder and they’ve all smelled great 🙂
Sounds like a fun day with your mom!
Gorgeous late summer weather for me today. ???
Several NSTers asked or commented about Mr. Jalapeno yesterday, so here is an update. He arrived safely at his step-mother’s place early this afternoon. He took down a generator and a bunch of bottled water. During his trip down, he passed a lot of people that were being sent down to FL… utility crews and the like. At one point, he saw gas for $4 a gallon. We both figured that was a bit of price gouging. Today he was helping her “batten down the hatches”, so to speak. Lots of boarding up and sandbagging.
His location is still in the Cone of Uncertainty, and it’s also on the Intercoastal Waterway. So now it’s watch and wait. But it looks like maybe Florida could be spared a direct hit from Hurricane Dorian.
SOTD = Hermes Un Jardin en Mediterranee EdT, from the sample stash. A perfect scent for today. I finally smelled the fig in it.
Hope they stay safe! My father lives in sight of the ocean on the Space Coast. He’s adamant that “they say” it will only be a Cat 1 storm by the time it gets to him. Of course all the “theys” I’ve heard are not saying that at all, but he’s just going to ride it out. Their seawall has not been repaired since it was damaged a couple of years ago, so I’m worried, but he claims not to be. Stubborn, stubborn, stubborn…
Thanks pixel! I hope that your dad will be safe, too. ? I’ll be getting more updates while Mr. Jalapeno is down there.
Hope your dad is fine and safe and that the intensity of the storm diminishes before it hits the States. Fingers crossed!
Long time Floridians can be pretty adamant about riding out the storms. I’ve met a few. ?
Like my sister??
So wrong for gas prices to be higher when people need to evacuate. Hope the storm spares everyone.
It sounded like only 1 place had the $4 gas, based on what I picked up during that conversation. Still, one bad apple during an emergency situation is one too many.
I’m pretty sure FL has a hotline to report price gouging during hurricane events.
Not sure which state he saw that price in. Could have been either GA or FL.
I also have family in Florida and North Carolina and we are praying for their safety. Hope Mr. Jalapeno and stepmom are fine and don’t have to face the storm.
So far, so good! I’m hoping they won’t have to evacuate. Been popping on to The Weather Channel every so often today.
Let’s hope for the best!
Keeping the Mister and MIL (as well as everyone else possibly affected) in my thoughts. I really hope people consider evacuating if directed to do so. The aftermath can be worse than the storm. Happy you had a lovely summer day to enjoy! ?
The possibility of evacuation did come up in conversation earlier today. Mr. Jalapeno said that they would get out if told to.
Fingers crossed!
Thank you Robin!
SOTD = Rising Phoenix Sicilian Vanilla
PSA: 20% off this weekend in the Etsy Shop with a $200 purchase (I know, it could happen)
I went to a friend’s dad’s 2nd death anniversary prayer gathering. One of the friends asked who needed a rosary and I said I do and then she said, no, wait, she has an app for it! Who knew? We were flabbergasted when 4 cars of the friends who participated were blocked in by double parked cars! (Several of us caught rides with others or it would have affected more). Really? From what I know, funeral procession cars typically have a sign to discourage other cars from cutting in. Also, the hearse usually leads it so for the mourners to park the way they did was very insensitive. There should have been a valet as I have a feeling this occurrence was not unique. Following the prayer, we went to a Vietnamese restaurant ? and then we all went to a Japanese supermarket afterwards for dessert.
In other news, I have freebie sets for anyone in the U.S. who had posted prior to this post in any August 2019 SOTD or Lazy Weekend Poll AND will pay it forward in September in whatever fashion you decide (does not have to be perfume-related) and share it when it happens. The first 5 people to call dibs here will get one of the following (I will decide which set goes to which person). Once you call dibs, please send me an email with your mailing address even if you are sure I already have it. Good luck.
1. MFK Amyris Homme and Amyris Femme Extrait de Parfum manufacturers atomizer each 2mL sprayed once. Note the extrait the parfum is a new concentration.
2. as above except never sprayed
3. MUGLER Les Exceptions Over the Musk 1.5mL manufacturer’s sample never sprayed. Frivolous since I already have a FB!
4. 2 new minis from a Sephora Deluxe sampler set
5. MUGLER perfume, body products and chachkies
Every package will also include 1-3 new manufacturers samples and / or a new mini.
An app replacing rosary beads??!! Yikes! Now I’ve heard everything.?
There’s an app that chimes for prayer call and points one towards Mecca.
Re: the double parked cars.. I think it’s just another example of people not knowing how to behave in public, mourners shouldn’t have to deal with anymore than they already are.
Also, dibs?
I got a chuckle out of the rosary bead app!
It was a perfect summer day today. A lot of people must be out of town because we were a little slow tonight at work. Yay!
I’m staying up to make sure I triple rabbit! August was a terribly unlucky month for me. Ending with more dental AND car trouble. I’m hoping to get resolved this coming week. My sotd was No.19, for the first time I was able to smell leather, and it was fabulous! I just love perfume and all it’s surprises when you least expect it. Hope everyone has a good and safe weekend ?
Here’s hoping September is better! Make sure to dibs, just saying.
Thank you, I’m really hoping for a boring September!
I am wishing a boring September for you too lillyjo! No one needs drama in their life 😉
Good for a slow day at work! Hope September is a lucky one for you!
??? for September!
Super cute backpack! I want it. I enjoyed Carnal Flower today.
?
The elephant one is darned cute too.
RABBIT RABBIT RABBIT
I remembered which means good luck for me hopefully!
Eldest and middle marzipan are driving to visit their baby brother at university this morning. I hope they have fun. I am ever so grateful that they all support each other. I hope this will continue when Mr. Marzipan and I are long gone.
Testing Caleche EDP on one hand and Caleche Eau Delicate on the other. Caleche is powdery. Eau Delicate has a bite to it and reminds me a bit of Bottega Venetta which means I like it. Too bad it’s discontinued.
Finished exercising so post shower might test vintage Rochas Femme….skanky!!! But I am at home 🙂 and then maybe Tocade on the other wrist.
I totally forgot!!
I really like Caleche Eau Delicate…Hermes was not so hip among perfumistas when it came out, I wish they’d re-release it.
So do I!!!!
I forgot the rabbits this morning. Easy to do when the cats are demanding the first breakfast of the day. ?
Rabbit, rabbit, rabbit! Welcome September!
In April Aromatics Irisistible. Always beautiful! Sample finished.
Running errands and doing shopping. Perfect end of the summer day today!
Thunk!
Enjoy your day, my friend 🙂
Thank you! You too! ?
Sounds like you are having/had a great day today! Maybe those rabbits will bring you some good luck for this month. ?
It was a nice, quiet day. May the rabbits hear you and I can have a good September! ???
Fall,, I’m waiting like this: ?!
Grey and drizzly this morning, wearing Amouage Fate Woman. Hope all in th US are enjoying the holiday weekend. Now off to check on Dorian…
House twin in Interlude. I’ve never bought more than a sample because whenever I wear it, I feel very ambivalent. I get on the verge of buying and then back away.
Good reason to hold off. Ambivalence automatically rules out any full bottle purchase for me these days. Sometimes decants are the way to go. I happen to love Fate, and it’s the only Amouage I’ve tried that I’ve actually been smitten with. But the prices were ridiculous and out of range of my pocketbook. I was quite surprised and delighted when I found it deeply discounted.
Oh, I love Fate too! It’s my favorite along with Jubilation 25.
I’m with you and Calypso, I love Fate.
Fate is lovely, but I think my favorite of the women’s Amouage that I have tried is Beloved.
PSA: Twisted Lily has a quite large sample set sale going on for Labor Day for $25. It includes many things, of which Zoologist Squid is the one I’m most interested in. Once you’ve tried them, you can get $25 off of any full bottle you buy later from the selection, so it seems like a good deal. I don’t know much about any of the other houses that they list in it. There are several from Sarah Baker and also Slumberhouse, plus a couple others. Any opinions or advice?
Well, if I spare cash I’d go for it, especially since you can $25 off a full bottle. Don’t look at me if you’re wanting to be talked down off the ledge! Lol?
Having a nice slow wake up this morning after not sleeping very well Friday night. No SOTD yet and not even an idea what I might choose. But I can still smell remnants of last night’s Papillon Angelique. It’s my least worn from the brand, of what I have anyway since Salome didn’t work for me and I swapped the decant away. I still don’t like Angelique quite as much as her others, but it is still a very good perfume. I feel like I connected with it more during my wearing last night than I had before.
Scent of yesterday was Fūm Nerola for an outing to some of my favorite stores for vintage clothes shopping. It was perfect because it was humid in some of the stores and when trying on old clothes, so it was nice to get to smell my bitter citrus perfume.
My best vintage find was a white shiny dress with A PERFUME BOTTLE PRINT! It’s from the 80s and the bottles are really gorgeous, like Czech perfume bottles. I thought it might be a little snug on me from looking at it, but it fits perfectly. However, it buttons up in the back, so I need my boyfriend’s help to get into and out of it lol. But it’s worth it. It’s a pretty wild dress, so I’m not sure where exactly I will wear it, but I’ll figure it out. Maybe to my next perfume outing with springpansy and smellysmello. ?
aahahh, that dress sounds amazing!
I might still have a pair of crazy 80s earrings in the shape of perfume bottles, maybe around 5 ml, if they were real.
Those sound great!
Hope everyone is enjoying a great weekend.
I have a bottle of Odin Petrana that is missing the top of the spray bottle. I know someone recommended a solution but can’t remember what it was…
If we are talking about the same problem, I just popped off the tops of other spray bottles to find one that fit…
Why didn’t I think of trying that!? Thanks AnnieA!
SOTD = Zoologist Tyrranosaurus Rex
This covered up my original SOTD Kilian Rolling in Love (from a sample).

For those just dialing in, make sure to look at my post up above for a chance to get a freebie set, for U.S. addresses only!
Did T-Rex cover up Rolling in Love, or did it get stomped into oblivion? ?
Cristalle Eau Verte yesterday, today i wore Sandflowers, because i would like to be at the sea. Instead i cut cloth for some new sewing projects. Afterwards we went to our garden and harvested tons of tomatoes and bell peppers. We have so much, than we have to freeze them for later.
Woo! I just printed out a pattern at the local copy shop and will be cutting fabric later this afternoon. I’m going to sew up a few different views of an unlined jacket/coat pattern. What are you working on?
I cut a Cashmerette Pembroke dress, a Fringe dress and a York Pinafore.
I love Cashmerette. It’s delightfully rare to have to do no or almost no pattern alterations. Haven’t sewn the Pembroke yet but have the pattern.
As for me, didn’t manage to cut any fabric today, ‘cause I spent way too much time taping paper together. Not a fan of PDF patterns, here!
I mostly send them to be printed, I hate to tape the patterns together…
Rabbit, rabbit!
Wearing SMN Rosa today. This was a birthday gift back in June and I love it.
I’m working! but I’m off tomorrow, at least.
Happy belated Birthday!
Went on a field trip to the local lavender farm today for their closing weekend. Nearly all the flowers were harvested already, but we had lots of fun anyway. Then went to a local orchard and picked a big bag of apples. Pie season!
I am wearing Kyse Vanille Cèdre.
What an idyllic day!
What a great day!
Sounds wonderful!
Well! I just WENT TO TOWN at Target. I’m not a frequent Target shopper; I go a handful of times a year. I got a few Pacificas once at a smaller Target near my work, but hadn’t ever checked out the scent section at the larger, nicer but inconveniently (for me) one elsewhere in town. Mind you, I only fell down the rabbit hole earlier this year.
Purchased:
– Solinotes The Blanc
– Solinotes Fleurs de Figuier
– Solinotes Yuzu
– Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange
The Solinotes are jolly good at $20 per 50ml. I need to do a side-by-side of Yuzu and Le Labo Bergamote 22. The Yuzu is absolutely giving me the same feels and raising my Bergamote 22 scent memory. Bergamote 22 was my first FB after falling down the rabbit hole. I still love it, but when I thunk it—a long time from now, given the horrifying vastness of my quickly-acquired collection—I don’t know that I’d need to replace it if I had the Yuzu, especially at $20 versus $195. Shudder.
You have great taste! I have those 3 Solinotes, also the Mure. Wore Yuzu just the other day… it is quite nice. 🙂
Target runs can be hazardous to the wallet sometimes.
I’ve tried several of those, and they’re quite nice! Our Target recently hired cosmetics ‘concierges’, and they are friendly and know their stuff, too. One in particular seems to be a budding perfumista, so we’ve had some fun conversations. Hey. I need to drop her off a goodie bag of samples. ?
What a kind thought!to gift her with some samples! I had no idea Targét was getting so upscale. I’m a bit conflicted since I usually look like a bag lady. Maybe they won’t let me into the cosmetics department at all anymore…??
Oh, you need not worry! The feel of the store is the same. I hit Target after gym sessions, so I’m not exactly spiffed, either!
Do you know, I took the pupper in last time I was there, just rolled a cart in with her in it, and no one said a thing. Am I bad?
How can it be tiring to just sit in the sun? Got up fairly early. Sprayed on OJ Champaca for church then headed to a baseball game. A friend had incredible seats (from her company) in the front row behind visitors’ dugout. Free food and drink included. And not just regular ballpark food. Real food. The biggest eye popper was the self-serve ice cream bar freezer….I actually resisted. Amazing.
I miss baseball. We had season tickets years ago so it was something I did a lot.
I totally get that, LizzieB! The sun takes it out of you. Glad you got the chance to get your baseball fix! ⚾️
Did anyone take the plunge at le labo for exclusives month that started today?
I have Guaiac in my shopping cart, but have not hit purchase yet.
I shall be plunging soon 🙂 Tabac 18 for sure. Pondering Poivre 23 and Aldehyde 44 also. Hmm.
Yep! Twins with you in getting Gaiac, and I got a sample of Tubereuse 40.
Thank you for enabling!!! I feel so much better now?
More gorgeous late summer weather. It’s almost as if Mother Nature is apologizing for the nasty cold wet spring in my area. ???
Still keeping an eye on Dorian. It looks like Florida *may* escape the worst of it. However, there is a chance that Mr. Jalapeno might encounter the storm on his drive back from Florida. He has an alternate route planned if I-95 is impassable. He also said that if the order was given to evacuate, that they would GTFO. ?
SOTD = AG Nuit Etoilee EdT, from the sample stash.
Well, I did my monthly count of empties last night, and I was a busy little sampler! I used up one big decant (4711 from pixel) and 23 samples.
Conclusions:
4711 Lime&Nutmeg rocks
Santal 33 still smells like a giant movie theater dill pickle
Someone at Lancôme was snoozing when they dc’d Cuir dL
Dzongkha is still a mystery to me
If bottles of Thameen Riviere or Creed Original Vetiver dropped out of the sky, I’d wear ‘em, but I’m not paying for ‘em.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Labor Day if you are celebrating it!
Very little labor this weekend. Spent most of yesterday binge watching shows on my iPad–the entire first seasons of Diagnosis and Carnival Row (how’s that for split personality?). I don’t watch much tv at all other than the news, but when I binge, I seriously binge!
Wearing the tiniest application of Cartier’s Oud & Oud after a liberally application this morning of Miu Miu’s L’Eau Bleue that was gone baby gone in an hour or so.
