British niche line Miller Harris has launched Craft & Glamour, a new fragrance in collaboration with The Royal Opera House.
In a unique collaboration, London luxury perfume house Miller Harris have worked with The Royal Opera House to create Craft & Glamour, a new Eau de Parfum inspired by the contrast and synchronicity between the highly skilled artisans who work behind the scenes; costumers, designers, musicians, wig makers, painters and scene builders; and the the opulence of the production; the velvet seats, gilded furniture, elaborate plaster mouldings and decadent private boxes.
Craft & Glamour explores many contrasts; old and new, hard work and artistry, history and the future.
Craft & Glamour was developed by perfumer Mylène Alran, and features notes of bergamot, pink pepper, rose, plum, patchouli, cashmere, sandalwood, tonka bean, ambroxan and musk.
Miller Harris Craft & Glamour is available in 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

I’ve been to the Royal Opera House a few times. – it’s beautiful. They also have their own branded ice cream they sell at the interval; it’s pretty good. One of the flavors is ginger.
Yum!
I love this house so much…even the “ambroxan and musk” doesn’t scare me away. I hope I get a chance to sniff it!
If anyone ever gets the chance, I can highly recommend the ‘behind the scenes’ tour at The Royal Opera House – did it many years ago with a friend during our annual year end London trip, & it was her Christmas present from me, as it then cost GBP 5.00 & that was our agreed upon gift amount limit (& still is, though sourcing something for a fiver is getting more difficult year on year!). Did it some years later with another friend, & we had the pleasure of seeing some members of The Royal Ballet en route to class. On both occasions we had a chat with ladies in the Costume Department, which was both entertaining & enlightening.
Great name!
