Pretty! Guerlain's 2019 iteration of Muguet: "A fresh floral fragrance in a unique Collector's bottle hand wrapped in a meticulously crafted silk embellishment. Guerlain re-imagines the iconic Muguet Eau de Toilette every year in celebration of Spring. By collaborating with an artisian [sic], exceptional know-how and technology meet to create a deluxe vintage. This year, Sericyne — established at the heart of the Cévennes, the historic cradle of French silk culture — has fashioned an incredibly delicate silk adornment. An innovative, meticulously crafted masterpiece born of unique patented know-how, it is produced by some twenty silkworms, then stamped with a scattering of 69 bees and gilded with the name of the perfume." If you've got an extra $490 laying around, you can pre-order it now at Saks Fifth Avenue.

One year I got to smell the Muguet, and while it was nice it was not 100 times nicer than a drugstore lotv. Maybe buy an empty bee bottle…?
Ditto! It’s not a big deal fragrance, just pleasant.
I love muguet and am always a bit tempted by this each spring, but it’s just so . . . silly? How about a less luxe muguet in the Aqua Allegoria line instead, Guerlain?
Yes it is kind of silly!
But I kind of doubt it would end up in the AAs, because it’s not that popular a note…
AA Lilia Bella was very popular and customers asked for it for years after it was discontinued.
Aha, I stand corrected then!
I want this every year, just because my birthday is in May. But muguet is not a favorite note of mine, so that (plus the price) makes it easy to resist.
