Happy Monday, and welcome to National Introverts Week! What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm doing Saint Patrick's Day a day late, and spring a few days early, in my old beloved Gobin Daudé Sève Exquise.
Reminder: on 3/22, celebrate the arrival of spring by wearing your favorite spring fragrance. (If it's fall where you are, you know what to do.)
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2019, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

Quick PSA for UK readers (not affiliated btw). As part of their Mothers Day Specials, Aldi are doing the Jo Malones again. 100ml EDTs in Velvety Rose, Peony, and Pomegranate for a wallet busting £5.99 a bottle! In stores on Sunday 24th, but I ordered mine online this morning (Rose and more Pomegranate – I’ve become slightly obsessed with the Pomegranate one). They’re doing candles as well…
Anyway in Yatagan this afternoon, because I can.
Sweet deal! I might check of JM is doing the same here in the U.S.! Thanks BobH!
Just to clarify, they’re not actually Jo Malone but, how can I put this, “inspired” by… ?
Thank you Bob, and smelling great in Yatagan.
I’ve been finding the candles here in the US, but never the colognes….I’ll keep an eye out! Thanks for the alert!
PS: We just got a new Lidl store here, and I’m not impressed with their dupes at all….but I did try them! 🙂
I aren’t that fussed about them either ?
Just got my spring fragrances out of storage – yay! Wearing the beautiful Chamade today.
What a lovely spring scent.
Chamade is sooooo Spring….it’s time for me to wear it too!
I am wearing Hove Rue Royale and drinking a cup of green tea.
My husband and I were just invited to a retirement party in Pittsburgh. Pennsylvania. We are trying to decide whether to add an extra day to this trip for sightseeing/fun things to do. We are currently booked to stay for just one night and this will be filled with events for the party.
Anyone from around this area with some insight? I have never been to Pittsburgh before.
I don’t live there but did in the past. There’s a good art museum there and also the Warhol Museum, both well worth visiting, though unfortunately in different parts of the city. Near the main (Carnegie) art museum is a nice Arboretum. I’ll let others chime in with more tips on restaurants, etc., since it’s been too long and I don’t know, but have heard the restaurant and craft brewery options are especially good there right now.
Also, it’s fun and very scenic to ride the incline up the steep hill, Mt. Washington, across from the city. It’s a quite spectacular view from up there over the three rivers as two conjoin (the Allegheny and Monongahela meet to form the Ohio). There are nice restaurants with views up there, too. Pittsburgh is physically very hilly and attractive, much moreso than the popular imagination might suggest.
Here’s a page that shows the beautiful view: https://www.nextpittsburgh.com/pittsburgh-in-the-news/mt-washington-one-best-skyline-views-world/
Thanks. That view is fabulous !
For something quirky and fun, you can visit Bayernhof music box museum in Pittsburgh. 🙂
https://www.bayernhofmuseum.com/
Fun collection !
How nice! About 1.5 hours drive from Pittsburgh – Frank Lloyd Wright’s Falling Water. Downtown Pittsburgh has (had) nice outdoor art and it is extremely walkable. I second Calypso’s suggestion of tKing the funicular up for a spectacular view.
I have read about Falling Water, and it would be great to visit. Thank you !
Great!
Barqs – I live in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, have been here for 25 years. Absolutely stay an extra day! Above suggestions are great – the Warhol, the Carnegie Art and Natural History Museums, the Phipps Conservatory – all great. Fallingwater is amazing if you have the time, but you need to book a tour in advance. I don’t want to take up more space here, but my contact info is in my gravatar, please feel free to reach out via email and I can give you more info on things to do and especially restaurants – our food scene is fabulous.
Thank you 🙂
First – you smell great (yep, I’m one of probably just a few people here who not only recognizes the name of your perfume but actually owns some).
Second – definitely stay one extra day. No, I haven’t been to Pittsburgh, but if you can afford to do it, why to rush? It’s not a likely destination for a designated trip, so there’s a good chance you’ll never go there again. So once you’re there already, do the best you can do in one extra day and mark that city as “done.” If you like it enough to go back, you won’t regret “I wish I hadn’t done an extra day in there!” If you do everything you might want and never go back, you’ll also have some feeling of accomplishment.
Beautifully written, and so true.
I am in Espirit d’Oscar today
Reminds me of Lheure Bleu by Guerlain
Thank you OaklandFresca
Have a fragrant day everyone
What sets it apart from L’heure Bleue?
Sorry I meant Apres L’Ondee
Lots to heliotrope
Espirit also has a musky vanilla tonka dry down like most of Guerlain perfumes
I have read other people’s comparisons to L’Heure Bleu but I have not experienced it myself so far. However I get a strong resemblance to Apres L’Ondee, especially at the opening. It’s goes through several shape shifts throughout the day, which I enjoy. Toward the end it get quite creamy. My daughter got in the car with me after a full day’s wear and said “why does it smell like artichokes in here?” ? I played it off like I had no idea, but I think it was Esprit!
Sounds like Esprit d’Oscar is well worth a sniff, since I like both LHB and Apres l’Ondee.
Would love to celebrate National Introverts Week by staying home and reading all week! Alas, duty calls.
I’m in Pacifica Sandalwood again. One of my favorites for late winter/early spring.
staying home reading, how tempting!
I’m off work this week. And next. I can do it. I was pretty much planning that anyway! ?
I’m sitting at home reading right now. 🙂 My favourite activity!
Ditto!
Brilliant idea!
It looks like the Netherlands has joined the club of countries affected by terrorist attacks. Fortunately not as many wounded and killed as in NZ, still it hurts.
Before all this happened I decided to wear Bigarade Concentrée which was one of my impulse buys of this summer. Absolutely no regrets, and I am almost halfway through my first bottle of the travel set.
How sad. Stay safe, austenfan.
Thanks, I live quite a long distance from Utrecht so I should be ok.
Yeah this literally hits a little too close to home (and work). So sad and disturbing.
Glad to see you check in, very sad. Hope you are keeping well.
Yikes. Glad you checked in and that you’re safe!
Yes I heard about what happened in Holland
I have no words, only tears!
It’s so sad but I am glad that you are safe.
This club SUCKS. 🙁
Just checked the news. So horrible. I love Utrecht.
Not a good club to be a part of. So sorry to hear that news this morning. Glad you’re safe!
I love BC, especially in the early fall.
And you smell fantastic!
My condolences to you, Jiji and anyone else here from Holland, it is so disheartening to see these attacks day after day.
Just shaking my head about this news. Good to hear that you are safe austenfan.
I am wearing Guy Laroche Fidji (vintage EDT) which fits both this week’s CP and yesterday St Patrick’s theme. So I am in sync with Robin. 🙂
Glannys- I wore this at my wedding in 1974 on a blistering hot day in Teheran.
My love of the fragrance lasted much longer than my marriage!!
You smell great!
Thank you!
Yes, sometimes perfumes last longer than relationships.
and that’s not a bad thing….
1st cousins once removed?
😀
March is always extra busy for me so I’ve been away from NST for a bit! Back this morning in Eau Egyptienne.
My husband and I went to a concert last night – it didn’t occur to us that is was St Patrick’s Day until we attempted to have a drink before the show and discovered the Green Horde. Hope everyone had fun & stayed safe!
You smell great! I too was taken by surprise by the holiday – in the supermarket no less, where I discovered 1. that the supermarket has a bar and 2. it was open at 9 AM on a Sunday.
Wow – supermarket bar! There’s actually a movie rental place that’s still around here in Tucson and it has a bar in it. They’re everywhere!
This means you’re not in NJ. They would not even serve me a mimosa with brunch at Cheesecake Factory (some other Sunday, not yesterday).
I would never have suspected NJ of such high morals.
A BAR in your SUPERMARKET? Why don’t my supermarkets have that?
(Not that I find drinking while shopping particularly appealing. I mean, why?)
Speak for yourself, Koyel, shopping is stressful lol…..no supermarket bars where I am but I do like the idea 🙂
Haha! I can relate. I went to a movie with a friend downtown yesterday – completely forgetting that there’s a HUGE St. Patty’s Day parade in my city every year (which I tend to avoid). Public transportation was, shall we say, interesting.
Gee this is so sad and weird, but my hometown is front page news right now.
3 people dead and 9 wounded in a tram shooting.
This all happened within 2 miles from my home and my workplace.
I have no words…. ?
Saw it on the news earlier. It truly is terrible. What the heck is happening in the world at the moment? I hope no-one you know is affected, but all our hopes and prayers go out to those that are.
I have only found out here, from austenfan’s comment. Glad to here you are ok, and I hope your friends and family are not affected either.
I heard this on the radio. Glad you’re safe.
I am glad you are safe…
Everywhere and everyone is vulnerable these days..
Maybe some retail therapy in your future to help lift your spirits?
Hmm well…. ahem my goodness…..I bought three full bottles of perfume already this year, and a new trench coat, and a new dress.
My wallet says ‘take it easy’ ?
Then it’s time to spray on your best perfume. Carpe diem!
I am you are safe Jiji and adding my wishes that your friends and family are safe as well.
Oh how scary! I’m glad you are safe, and hope friends and loved ones are also.
I am sorry jiji – that’s so traumatic. Please be careful until the situation clears
I am so – sorry doesn’t cut it. I was in Utrecht the summer before last and loved it there so much.
Thinking of you Jiji, hoping the police will finally catch the perpetrator.
Really sad.
So glad you’re safe, but I’m so sorry to have read the horrible news.
So sorry jiji. It’s sad an unnerving, but glad you are safe.
Jiji, so sorry to hear this. No place is safe, sadly. Fanaticism and intolerance seem to be the new norm globally.
I’m so sorry Jiji! I can’t think of anything to say except sorry, and I hope things settle down quickly. 🙁
I am so sorry Jiji. Glad you are safe.
How scary!
Relieved that you and your family are safe. Thanks for checking in. I’m sorry.
Chanel Beige, on this sunny beautiful day.
On staycation until Saturday and I don’t have much planned for today except a run through the car wash after a busy travel filled weekend. The weather lady said it will be dry all week with temperatures reaching 60! by the end of the week. ??
That was my wedding fragrance. I feel the need to remember that anytime I see someone on here wearing it
Love Chanel Beige!
Was my wedding scent too, unfortunately the hairspray my stylist used overpowered and my husband told me my hair smelled like oatmeal. Lol, sigh.
You smell very nice! Enjoy the staycation!
I am wearing Fleur de Carotte, which inadvertantly fits the theme. Second time to wear it and it is very pretty. Love the bottle as depicted on Fragrantica.
Had to look up the bottle picture…wouldn’t mind gaving one 😀
Hi everyone! My SOTD was going to be Knowing by Estee Lauder but I can’t find my bottle from when we moved – so my next choice is Murasaki by Shiseido, with notes of gardenia, hyacinth, galbanum, iris, incense, vetiver & leather.
Everyone have an excellent day!
We’re house twin.
Excellent! 🙂
I’m wearing Dilettante, certainly a favorite for Spring but it couldn’t wait till Friday! Forecast for this week has us going from 25 degrees F today to 61 on Friday, so for once the season-change CP is matching the weather! More importantly, I hope the ice melts from around my car; because I don’t really use it for work, I’ve been lazy about digging it out and it hasn’t moved in so long it now sits in its own little puddle of ice. Every now and then I get in and try and the wheels spin and I sigh and hope for a thaw…
Oh! I forgot to mention my perfume dream – I was on a round-the-world journey with a large group of people and most of my luggage was taken up with perfume, and I carefully unpacked and repacked them everywhere we went. Sort of delightful.
I am so mad I can’t find my Dilettante decant. I’m sure I didn’t use it all but it’s nowhere to be found! Grump. You smell great! Good luck with the car, and I greatly enjoyed your dream 🙂
Oh, I hope that your car thaws out soon!
Good morning, NSTers! Today’s high will be 76! No sweater today; I didn’t dare to go sleeveless (it was like 44 this morning), but I am wearing a light spring blouse.
I smell like spring incarnate today in En Passant. I may spend the whole week just wearing En Passant and Ostara.
Yesterday my boyfriend and I went on a 15-mile bike ride to enjoy the sunshine and warmth. It was SO GREAT. I have biked maybe three times in the past two years, since moving back to the US, and probably biked 5x/year during the three years I lived in France. Before that, though, I’d bike twelve miles a day (except in rain, when I took an Uber), but owning a car now has made me lazy. I’d forgotten how much I LOVE riding a bike. It makes me feel free and empowered in a way that car never has. It was a great thrill and I’ll try to get back to biking more often. I need to find a job that’s closer home so I can bike to and from work 🙂
Anyway, this Monday morning feels good. Let’s keep this going! I’ll need all the help I can get–I am accidentally spending Introvert Week being engaged in way too much social activity 🙁
Up in Portland, it’s gonna be 66F! So I am wearing a tropical weight wool sweater- it’s thin enough for mild temps but keeps me warm during a chilly morning!
And riding a bike IS The absolute best. With the increase in my commute I don’t ride as much as I used to, but with the brilliant weather I may do so after work!
You smell lovely!
Ede97005,
I will be heading there Sunday for my new project.
I am excited to buy with no sales tax! and I can walk from my hotel to my project site and back again.
enjoy your ride!
Huzzah! Let me know if you will have time for a drink.
Good luck fitting a bike ride in after work today! I’m glad you’re getting great weather up north too 🙂
Biking is the best! I used to live in SW Michigan, where I sometimes biked the Kal-Haven trail. It starts near Kalamazoo and spits you out right on the beach of Lake Michigan. Had some really special wildlife encounters on that trail.
Wow, that bike ride sounds amazing! What kinds of wildlife did you see? (We saw two hares yesterday, and then a bunch of deer! The most common of wild animals, but still exciting 🙂 )
Nothing unusual here either – deer, birds, once a bumblebee who flew alongside me for awhile – but still exciting for me too.
Ha ha, one advantage of Michigan being so flat! Spoken as a native, fondly.
Agreed!!
15 miles for a bike ride? Wow! That’s pretty darn impressive! I’m happy to hear that it went well for you. ?
You smell great! I wore Ostara last night and again today. Love it!
Went out for St. Patrick’s Day last night, so I’m not feeling too springy today. Not sick, but would much rather be in bed than at work following up on emails from the weekend. Blah. SOTD is La Chasse Aux Papillions, which is cheering me up a little.
Called Bark Box and they are sending a new toy for Sydney. I let them know that the boxes they have should be a little more customizable because of multiple dog households. I have 2 different types of chewers. I hate bugging the people at Bark Box almost every month. I am going to the dentist to lend my mom some support. They want to take a look at the gum surgery she had on Thursday. I am going to wear no 19 or Noontide Petals for it.
….totally forgot to mention my sotd.
Its Sycomore edt and it offers a little comfort on this sad day.
On a brighter note, i had a great weekend in Luxembourg. We had a fun walk from Germany to Luxembourg to France and back. All within 3 hours ?.
And I got a perfume related compliment in a very unlikely place, it was in a small not so very fancy bakery, next to a huge supermarket / discounter. The guy behind the counter was totally smitten with the fragrance I was wearing. It was Vetiverissomo.
He had a point, it is quite good! (though my next Bruno Fazzolari would probably be Feu secret)
In which country did the compliment happen?
Your weekend sounds good, that is a nice part of Europe.
It was in Germany.
My understanding of spoken German is not brilliant, certainly not in a very crowded and noisy place, so at first I did not get what he was talking about. Maybe because one does not expect to get compliments about perfume in a place like that haha. ?
You smelled great! I love Vetiverissimo and wore it all weekend. Funny, most of my compliments come from someone behind some counter-or-other.
First day of vacation if I don’t count the weekend. It’s my nephew’s Spring Break and he’s helping me.
SOTD = Atelier Pacific Lime
From a Sephora sample. It disappeared in about 20 minutes but reappeared again and it is very nice…I suppose it needed body heat to bloom!
Also packing for my trip to Tampa (sunny, high of 75 low of mid-50s at night) from Wednesday to Saturday. The tour leader had encouraged us to only have a carry-on. Since we’re not on United Basic Economy, it looks like we can gate check without having to pay the $25 fee. My wheeled carry on luggage does not have good wheels so if I choose this route, not only do I have to think about minimizing the amount of stuff I bring, I also have to buy new luggage AND be prepared to wheel it around with me all over the airport! Oy vey!
Have a wonderful trip. It is hard to pack light for a vacation. Good luck!
Thank you! I have lighter pants and mix and match pieces from JJill ( and at least 4 or 5 other people going will probably wear all JJill tops – I hope I don’t match anyone). Speaking of matching, my sister and I once showed up at a get together wearing the same JJill top and the same pattern (of leaves and flowers) but thank goodness she wore the colored one whereas mine was the black and khaki (I have the one she wore, too).
Have a great time in Florida.
Thanks! The last time I was in Florida was a for a business trip and that was maybe 12 years ago!
I have a travel spray of Pacific Lime and I love it – it has note that reminds me of peach skin along with the citrus.
I will get one at so,e point…will hopefully catch a VIBRouge discount at some point!
I found myself at a Sephora yesterday for the first time in many, many months, and made a beeline for Pacific Lime. It smelled SO GOOD! I want a travel spray, but do I really need ANOTHER lovely, ephemeral citrus? (The answer is yes, I think.)
Have a great time in FL!
Thank you, Koyel!
Enjoy your vacation, both here and in Florida! A wonky carry-on is definitely a travel woe, though.
heading to the top of my spring favorites is my custom blend Sarah Horowitz Brigitte for it’s creamy soft lilac embraced by sandalwood, violet and vanilla…so quintessentially spring…
That bottle is not going to last you very long….
It sounds gorgeous!
Hello everyone, wearing my first (and hopefully my last) Un Jardin sur le Scrubber, the Lagoon fragrance. It’s very tenacious, it is making its presence felt. Of course every skin is different, but in my case, if Avon Cosmetics made a really cheap, (even for them), bottom-of-the-barrel budget Tuscan Soul-me too, this would be it.
I love Tuscan Soul and it’s getting harder and harder to find it, but this one is not a replacement.
Sorry it was a scrubber but this made me laugh out loud ?
Oof! Shame. Love the rest of the Jardin line, was thinking about them for the CP even.
Bummer, I was hoping to like this new one as much as I like the other Jardins. Yours is the second disappointing review I’ve seen.
I’m copying PriscillaE and wearing Fleur de Carrotte today. It’s been a while since I’ve worn it, but I plan to change that this spring.
Hello everyone!
Introvert Day? I am a bit of social butterfly to be honest; but there are times when being in my bed with a cozy book and a tray of tea & snack is the definition of a perfect day.
SOTD: Dovana over JM Red Roses soap. Very, very pretty indeed.
Worked in my garden this weekend due to the sunny weather, clearing out debris and getting it ready for tilling later on. Although the size of a match box, I am pretty excited! Last year’s test garden was a success, and this year there will be 144 herb plant starts and 72 veggie/fruit starts. Yes, I went a little wild in the garage with my starts, but I am trying to do a visually appealing potager type garden, and abundance seems to be really key there. Also, I want to plant enough for me AND the bunnies.
Your garden sounds fabulous!
I’ve always wanted to be a social butterfly. I kind of was one for two supremely exhausting years, but then I gave up. They were fun, though!
Wearing Shiseido Inoui which is green enough to be a spring scent but has enough heft to be appropriate for the currently chilly weathet
House twin.
SOTD post shower will be Paris Venise or Deauville. Got so warm in SoCal over the past two days.
In Durga today. One of my current favorites. I actually caught a whiff of it last week in an elevator. Durga in the wild! Other than generic modern fresh floral, which I encounter regularly, and equally generic cheap musky floral which I encounter with too much regularity, I have noticed in the wild, only a few classic and identifiable scents: Shalimar, Diorissimo, and now Durga. 🙂 An outstanding basis for anyone’s perfume collection- excellent sillage, unique scent profile. You could get a lot of mileage out of just these three scents. A week or two ago someone walked by me trailing a lively oud of some sort, mild but distinct, and I regret not asking her what it was.
Prada Candy—-I’ve come across it with some regularity in the wild as well.
Feeling springy in Iris 39.
It was only 40 degrees yesterday but I hiked with the hubs and our shepherd on a trail at a state forest. It was a bit difficult due to challenging terrain combined with ice, snow and ankle deep mud mud on much of the trail but so lovely to be outside enjoying fresh air on a sunny day.
You smell great!
Nice. My Iris 39 shower gel Willa et some use!
I might have to join Robin, and go find one of my squirreled away decants of Gobin Daudé. I think I have some Seve Exquise, and some Biche Dans l’Absinthe somewhere…..but sadly not a single drop of my favorite, which was Nuit au Désert.
It is Spring Break for me, which means that I have some breathing room to get my work done. Better than not having said room, but not actually a break. Nonetheless, not having a work-enforced schedule this week is going to be much appreciated.
I’m on Day 24 of a new meditation course, called Waking Up, with Sam Harris. So far, I am having a very positive experience with it. Are any of you out there meditators, and/or familiar with the Waking Up app?
Oooh, tell us more! How does it compare to others you may have used? At work, we have something called MeQuilibrium but I had been very slack with using it (as in lost interest as soon as I figured out how to log in). You would understand as I got stressed out doing yoga and the corpse pose was the worst!
I don’t have a lot of apps to compare it to – I’ve only used Headspace, and that very briefly. I really like the voice of Sam Harris – there’s a timbre or modulation there that sounds good to my ear. I also like that it is not drowning in the woo woo. It is very straightforward, and the pacing is good. There are short meditation sequences (thus far, from 5 to 15 minutes), and also audio lessons that discuss different topics, like the rationale for meditating, the science behind its effects, the concept of free well, and such.
I dislike that it is a subscription, but I don’t know if I will feel the same way as time goes by. I don’t mind paying for valuable services that give me what I want or need, but I have begun to resent the constant drip-drip-drip of money out of my pocket that seems to be the new business model. I like to buy something, use it, and have it last a long time. I am hoping that a long term subscription will provide me with more, and updated, content.
It feels easy and practical, and yet, simultaneously, almost oddly, profound. There was (and is) a relatively rapid sense of progress from day to day. The changes are subtle, yet I believe significant.
Thanks! I need to cut out the slow drip$ too!
National Introverts Week?! That’s something I can really appreciate!
My introverted self is in SL Vetiver Oriental today to extend the “wearin’ o the green.”
Absolutely stunning weather yesterday and I fully exploited my first Sunday off in a long long while. The sun was delicious, the breeze was cool, and the sky was blue. What else could you ask for? It’s a total 180 from last year. I was here until mid-April and it was still cold, grey, and rainy then.
Boring day of chores, but at least the weather is fine. ?
T-Rex seems to be your opposite ?
The. Exact. Opposite! ?
I spritzed Rose Flash this morning because I needed something bracing after a tumultuous weekend.
While at a vigil for the NZ shooting we had an active shooter alert go out. In the stampede that followed I lost my son. I found him hiding with others in a building. He is very young and is still recovering from the fright. We didn’t find out until 4 hours later that it was festive balloon popping that triggered the panic and police response so it continued to feel real for awhile.
My heart really goes out to all victims of this kind of violence. I hope my son will have a future where it would be unlikely to interpret a balloon popping as a gun firing.
Oh no! Glad you and your son turned out fine but the trauma for you and him, eeks!
That is terrible, and terrifying. Wishing your son a nurturing and calm day!
Oh, how awful! I’m glad it was a false alarm and I hope everyone feels better soon.
oh dear, I am so sorry that happened.
U of M? A friend’s daughter said it was incredibly frightening.
What a scary event! I’m glad to hear that it was a false alarm.
Oh gosh, how frightening 🙁 I’m so sorry, and I’m glad you found your son again. That’s terrible though; I hope he recovers from his fright.
Overslept and out the door without perfume. Yesterday i wore Kelly Caleche edp, it was wonderful.
Wore that one to bed last night.
And you smelled excellent!
Golly, my predictive text just wrote “excellent” as “excrement” several times in a row. I’ve gotta be careful with that one!
Made me laugh out loud though!
Ooooops! Sounds like your spell check has an ornery streak!
Today I’m wearing Shiseido Koto, a baby soft leather I enjoy.
BBW Twilight Woods edt for SOTD
Just looked at eBay. Wow. Has it ever skyrocketed since I bought these.
Layered over the body wash.
Not sure why I picked it, Just was in the mood for it!
In Baiser de Russie–feels like a good season-transition scent.
SotD is Choeur des Anges from Atelier des Ors. A tart blackcurrant atop of blood orange followed by lovely orange blossom and with some sensual honeyed amber in the base.
A good mood inducing fragrance.
This sounds gorgeous!
We need some cute today …
https://www.instagram.com/p/BvJjYRaF0uV/?utm_source=ig_share_sheet&igshid=lon75ednhjge
Yes we do, and it’s adorable! ??
I keep going back to look at it!
D’awwwwwwwwww! ??
CdG Lily which was a favorite LOTV last Spring and Summer.
Do you still like it?
I do and will probably wear it more this summer since it’s nice and tart. I think 20-30mls of use is generally my max, even of something I really love, before I’m ready to move on. I used about 20ml last year, so right on track, lol.
Not really a spring scent but Commes des Garcons 2 called to me this morning, what a great scent anytime.
I splurged and had a wonderful person come and clean my house today. Since I fell last week, I haven’t felt like doing anything and having everything clean at once is such a treat. She does love Pine Sol, though, and in a 700 square foot house that’s some powerful stuff ?
Hope you heal quickly!
Cleaning is the best money spent of all splurges. Enjoy your clean house!
Oh no! I missed that you fell. I hope you mend quickly!
Are you feeling better? Improved mobility? Get better soon!
(AND enjoy that clean house!)
Ow, sorry to hear that you fell! I hope that It isn’t very sore!
Sotd is an older version of Samsara edp.
I think it will be hard for me to chose a scent for Friday. There are several that I adore in the spring. Hoping that Friday is a beautiful sunny day here! I find it very difficult to wear my spring favs on cold gray days. ?
I can’t wear spring scents on gray cold days either. I hope the weather cooperates with the cp.
Samsara is gorgeous!
OJ Woman for some gardening today. Now packing for tomorrows flight. Still undecided with perfumes to take to Japan, because i read that heavy scents are not very popular there.
How exciting! Have a wonderful trip!
Have a nice trip. Please check in when you have time…I have to live vicariously through you as I don’t have a trip to Japan planned any time soon!
Safe travels! I have also heard that heavy perfumes are not at all popular in Japan. It’s rather warm there right now… I think today’s temps in Tokyo were around 15 degrees C.
Have a wonderful trip!
Today I wore Meo Musciumi’s Narcotico to work for the first time. No one has seemed offended by it and I have had it on for almost 9 hours and it is still prevalent.
Everyday I get later and later…..my boss is getting her money out of me lately! 🙂
5pm…Just now reaching for a bit of Lush Cardamon Coffee (solid) out of my purse. It’s been that kind of day!
Sonoma Scent Studio Equestrian today. Besides being a spring favorite, this is one of those “always good” ones for me.
You smell nice!
? Just another Manic Monday! ? I had a dentist appointment in the a.m., and Spooky kitty had a vet appointment in the p.m. Alas, the dentist found a cavity this time, so I go back next week. And Spooky had blood drawn today. ?
SOTD = back in Timbuktu, from the sample stash. No one complained about it today, so I will assume that it is safe for office visits of the human and feline kind.
Sorry about the cavity! Glad you found a perfume that worked for the various appointments!
It’s a rather small one, since I didn’t even know that it was there!
Awww, poor Spooky and poor you!
Thanks Koyel. I’m a little concerned about Spooky, since she has lost about a pound over the last year. That’s why she had the blood draw.
Oh no 🙁 🙁 🙁 fingers crossed that it’s nothing serious 🙁
Starting my personal mimosa week in Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamom. It is definitely spring here, though we’re promised some cooler weather later this week.
Nice! No personal project for me this week. I have to figure out which of my Atelier Colognes to bring to Florida if I decide to go with a carry on only. I have a bunch of the 4mLs from which to choose, assuming I don’t want to decant anything.
Nah, you don’t want to spend time decanting. Take a random 3 of the 4 mls that you have, and you cannot go wrong 😉
Warm and sunny today, but the fog has rolled in at the beach already. Wearing a few spritzes each of Tauerville Tuberose Flash and Fruitchouli Flash. They smell great together!
I gave away my Fruitchouli Flash but I bet that combo with tuberose is super!
My bathroom smelled very tropical for hours! Enjoy your Florida trip. If you’re flying in to one city and staying at one hotel, I’d check my bag. Hauling it through the airport is a PITA.
I wore MFK APOM today which is definitely a spring favorite for the orange blossom.
Mom is still in the hospital but improving. Long story. The ER CT tech guy complimented me when he came in on Saturday night. I was wearing Elixir des Merveilles. He said “ooh you smell good. And I’ve smelled a lot of bad smells today.”
Glad your mom doing better. You smell great. Nice to get a compliment but maybe the guy could have left out smelling a lot of bad smells today ?
Good to hear that your mom’s situation is improving.
Glad that your Mom is doing better. And that you got a perfume compliment!
So glad!
I don’t think I slept for a second last night, therefore I stayed home today. Hoping tonight is better and that I feel good enough to go to work tomorrow. I really hate being sick! I didn’t even stick my head outside and it was a beautiful day.
Started to re-watch Mad Men on Netflix. Looking forward to my spring frags this week hopefully.
I slept badly too Gail, and then had a busy and stressful day. Wishing us both a very good night’s sleep!
Just finally read through do to an insane day. I wore Eau de Camille and at least got to enjoy smelling myself when things were rough.
A quiet hurray for Introverts’ Week! And congratulations for having some Seve Exquise.
