Holiday creep keeps creeping, but if you want a beauty advent calendar this year, you'll have to buy soon: they tend to launch early and then sell out quickly.
Part 2 will be coming up later this month. (Please note that some of these calendars are not available in the US. Advent calendars are more popular in the UK than in the US).
Liberty London will ship their popular beauty Advent Calendar in the US for the first time this year. $250 (or £195) for 25 travel-sized items, including luxury brands like Le Labo, Diptyque, Aromatherapy Associates and Byredo. Due to launch on the 24th of this month.
Atelier Cologne has two versions this year. The luxury alternative, shown, includes at least one 30 ml cologne, plus leather travel case, a bunch of 7 ml minis and travel-sized soaps, hand creams, shower gels. $350 at Sephora, where you'll also find the Discovery version, with 17 samples plus travel-sized soaps and shower gels, $59.
Ten Days of Tocca is just that, and includes Eau de Parfum, Hand Cream and Hair Fragrance. $50 at Beautyhabit.
The Jo Loves Advent Calendar is due to launch on November 5, and includes 24 mini items plus a silver ticket to be redeemed for the 100 ml fragrance of choice. £250.
The Body Shop has three alternatives again this year: Enchanted 24 Days ($70), Enchanted Deluxe 25 Days ($110) or Enchanted Ultimate (shown, $225).
Net-a-Porter's 25 Days of Beauty includes a few fragrant shower items from Aromatherapy Associates, Le Labo and Senteurs d'Orient. $250.
It's mostly makeup and beauty items, but Yves Saint Laurent's 2018 calendar also includes items from the Mon Paris, Opium and Black Opium collections. I know this one will be in the UK and Canada, not sure about the US.
And a chocolate alternative: "Begin your countdown to Christmas with a special-edition Advent calendar from Paris’ La Maison du Chocolate. An array of milk and dark chocolate almonds, gianduja-coated almonds, caramelized milk and dark chocolate almonds and plain and flavored pralines await behind each petite window. The handcrafted confections arrive neatly hidden inside La Maison’s Fairy Fabric gift box, ready to greet the lucky recipient." $65 at Williams Sonoma.
Or, how about jam? "The 2018 limited edition of Bonne Maman advent calendar features 24 different fruit spreads and honeys in Bonne Maman's iconic mini jars: the most delicious countdown to Christmas. Open a window to a new flavor everyday, including holiday exclusives raspberry & lychee, strawberry & red currant, pineapple & passion fruit, orange & cinnamon, and morello cherry... Made in France with natural ingredients. No high fructose corn syrup, no artificial coloring and no preservatives added." $30 at Simply Gourmand.
The Bon Maman! There fig is a favorite
I like that there are flavors in there that you can’t get in a store, too.
I know this isn’t what I was supposed to take away from this post, but…how did I not know about Simply Gourmand?!?! I’ve been relying on friends traveling to/from France to get my fixes! Obviously everything is overpriced on that website, but it looks worth it!!!
You are not supposed to take anything away except what you enjoy!
Also rejoicing over discovering this website! Busily loading my cart with beloved food/perfume crossover treats — rose candies! jasmine confit!
Check out yummybazaar.com also.
Thanks for the tip! That one also looks great!!!
I want a Franken-calendar:
Remove all milk chocolate from the La Maison du Chocolate and fill the gaps with jam from the Bon Maman set.
Oh, I would go for that!
Hajusuuri you always come up with the best solution. Now we just have to find people who are desperate for all milk chocolate and some jams, and do splits. 🙂
You can send milk chocolate to me. 😀
Omg, one of each please!
You would be very busy for 25 days 🙂
