Indie line Smell Bent has launched 1993, a new fragrance.
collection: frankensmellies
in a nutshell: halloween night
notes: a cauldron of black pepper, sparkling root beer, rich chocolate, flaked coconut, blood cedar and red patchouli
fun facts: in celebration of its 25th anniversary, we created a scent inspired by one of our favorite halloween movies ... HOCUS POCUS!
Smell Bent 1993 is available in 4 ($8) or 50 ($60) ml Eau de Toilette.

I graduated from high school in ’93 and was prepared to give this a test for nostalgia’s sake but . . . it doesn’t sound good.
Hard to say from notes, but admit it sounds like too much to me too.
Class of 1993 here too! It should actually smell like sandalwood incense, clove cigarettes, coffee, and flannel. Think I’ll give theirs a pass.
The only notes I like are root beer and chocolate, but not together. Pass.
I would love a really good rootbeer fragrance!
AG Myrrh Ardent smells like root beer to me.
Gloria Vanderbilt smells like rootbeer to me.
I have a vintage mini of Tabu that smells like spicy root beer!
Really?? I think it sounds pretty exciting!
You might be right! Do report back if you try it.
I’ve had good luck with many Smell Bent perfumes. I appreciate that they don’t take themselves too seriously, they seem to like experimenting, and their prices are sane.
Among my favorites are Incensed and Incensed Short Fuse. No affiliation, just like ’em.
Ditto this. ????????
Third – after many samples I FB’d on Short Fuse!
This one doesn’t sound very “me,” but it would be kinda fun to get the 4ml and wear it just around Halloween! On that note I love that they offer tiny sizes and that they’re not overwhelmingly expensive
Oh I loved Hocus Pocus!Suddenly feel very very old!(Class of ‘94)????✌????
Me too on short fuse- do they still fear incensed?
This new one does sound like a strange brew- haHa!
