118 ml of Cutter's Lemon Eucalyptus Insect Repellent is $5.15 at Home Depot. Journal of Insect Science says it works, or at least, helps more than some other alternatives (read more at Mosquito Wars: What Works To Keep These Bugs Away? at Forbes, or see the original study here.)

Ah, I have been using Repel brand lemon eucalyptus, and it does indeed work better than any other non-DEET product i have tried (and since I am a mosquito magnet, I have tried them all). Seems to give pretty complete protection for about 4 hours, which is really good considering I live in a bug infested swamp (a beautiful bug infested swamp with some 300 year old trees, and old sheep meadows over grown with wildflowers, but the bugs…) I haven’t see the cutter brand. The Repel is the same price and at my grocery store….
Very good to know, thanks!
I just bought this sunscreen / bug repellent combo:

I wish the SPF was higher; however, I really won’t be under the sun for too long — just long enough to go from the bus to the venue (Tanglewood; our tickets are always under the shade) and during intermission if I need to be out and about for a bit.
Interesting — enjoy Tanglewood and let us know if it works!
