Italian brand Trussardi has launched Scent of Gold, a new spicy woody oriental fragrance.
Synonymous of jewels and preciousness, Trussardi’s regal Scent Of Gold fragrance has an imperial mood coming from the magnetism of the wood and the ancestral conflict between vanilla and tobacco. Addictive in nature, with a French signature base, Scent Of Gold sits alongside The Black Rose and Amber Oud in the ‘Les Exclusives’ collection. Top notes of Madagascar cinnamon, bergamot and noir Prunol DL give way to a heart of jasmine, dark violet and tobacco. A dry-down of vanilla, patchouli and labdanum rounds out this oriental eau de parfum.
Scent Of Gold was developed by perfumer Aliénor Massenet and features "a complex olfactory score around the extraordinary Noir Prunol base, created in 1876 by the Maison de Laire for luxury perfumery".
Trussardi Scent of Gold is available now at Harvey Nichols in the UK, £79 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

This appeals to me. But, in the spirit of transparency, I will confess I was initially drawn to the bottle.
I like the bottle too, although of this series, The Black Rose sounded best to me — same bottle, different color.
Only Noir Prunol can resolve ‘the ancestral conflict between vanilla and tobacco’. Will it succeed…?
It’s a tough job but someone has to step up to the plate.
I believe MLB has banned players from stepping up to the plate with tobacco. Maybe they can resolve the ancestral conflict between vanilla and sunflower seeds.
LOL!! Excellent, thank you.
Good one!
