Evody Couleur Fauve, Tubereuse Manifeste & Sens Abstrait ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 14 November 2017 4 Comments

Niche line Evody has launched Collection Galerie, a trio of fragrances (Couleur Fauve, Tubéreuse Manifeste and Sens Abstrait) inspired by contemporary art and developed by perfumer Cécile Zarokian.

Couleur Fauve ~ "A rebellious, indomitable, challenging and colorful movement. Fauvism is a hymn to life, joy and above all, pleasure. The « Happiness of Life » painting by Matisse has inspired COULEUR FAUVE. Nude, lascivious women open to the pleasure of love, a flute-player, dancers carried away in a bacchanalian circle. The colours are pure, as distinct as the fragrance notes making up couleur fauve : gold, orange, red, all conveying a palpable sense of the vibration of life and a state of bliss. With amber and cistus labdanum, this is a perfume evocative of carnal, sensual and animal pleasure." Additional notes include Sichuan pepper, pink pepper, bergamot, amber, patchouli, vanilla, benzoin, castoreum and musks.

Tubéreuse Manifeste ~ "Inspired by the surrealist movement, Tubéreuse manifeste is a complete reinterpretation of the tuberose flower. Playing with its fragrance, releasing the unconscious, breaking with the codes, taking tuberose to the unexpected grounds of provocation… Turning it into a narcotic, addictive, intoxicating experience. A travel through an erotic dream, carnal, sensual. At first, alcoholic and sirupy rum notes followed by davana and rose absolute will come as a surprise. Their headiness will linger as sweet labdanum and benzoin notes appear, as well as leathery and animal tones. A voluptuous reverie." Additional notes include Roman camomile, green and crispy notes, tuberose, iris butter and vanilla.

Sens Abstrait ~ "Abstract art is an appeal to emotion through shapes and colours which, once assembled, neither represent nor suggest reality. SENS ABSTRAIT was conceived using this same principles, arousing emotions with intertwined and echoing raw materials. Citrus fruits answer to green notes and floral notes mix with dry, amber woods. A non-figurative and multiple range of fragrances aimed at awakening the soul."

Evody Couleur Fauve, Tubéreuse Manifeste and Sens Abstrait are available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Okay, so I’ve just popped over to have a look at NST and am surprised by a picture of 3 jars of instant coffee…

I will probably never see these again, and at 100ml they are more than I need of anything, but of the three the Tubereuse Manifeste at least seems a bit different. The other two just seem demented as they try to drum up excitement for, er, pink pepper and – citrus? If you’re excited by citrus, I think it’s going to blow your mind next time you open a fridge door AND THE LIGHT COMES ON!!! :^D

Instant coffee! My 1st impression was Axe-type body sprays.

Same target market here but the shape of the bottle read men’s body wash… for those nights when you’re out on the prowl! :-)
