Andy Tauer's Tauerville brand has launched Patch Flash, the latest fragrance in the brand's Flash series.
Its mouthwatering opening is shaped by a bracing whisky accord - bright and boozy, but with a rich earthiness and a touch of smoke. As it dries down, the juiciness gives way to a drier spiciness in the heart. Eventually, everything settles to a velvety, golden amber on a cool, dark patchouli - a deep viridian green.
The notes include spices, leather, patchouli and benzoin.
Tauerville Patch Flash is available now at Luckyscent, $63 for 30 ml Eau de Parfum.

Loved this one. Not too dry, with a very subtle fruitiness. Reminded me of PHI but with much less rose.
Good to know! I do love Phi.
I think you would have trouble with the top notes but the rest is quite nice.
Because too much patch?
Yeah, it’s the real thing for maybe 15 minutes. I do hope you get to try it though!
Thanks!
Planning to visit Les Senteurs when I’m in London in Dec to try Hyacinth & A Mechanic – cracking name for a fragrance! Also hoping to pick up a sample of Lonesome Rider for my husband – passed his test on a ‘nifty fifty’ & had a 750cc waiting for him in a friend’s garage!
Yes, great name, and I like the scent too! Congrats to your husband.
None of the Flash series (that I’ve tried) have worked for me but patchouli? Gimme. However, didn’t the Flash series debut at around $30? It hasn’t been that long ago that Rose Flash came out, has it?
Yes — those were in 10 ml rollerballs. He seems to have settled on a larger 30 ml size.
Oh that’s right! I remember now. I don’t buy unsniffed over about $35 because I’m poor and I don’t order samples often because I’m lazy and forget anyway because I’m old, lol.
This is well done and I appreciated the quality, but it was too much patch for me. Patchouli lovers will no doubt enjoy!
