Indie line Smell Bent has launched Tea House, a new fragrance.
in a nutshell: earl grey + lemon cake
notes: a creamy cup of earl grey accompanied by a lemon-scented Madeliene
fun facts: a very Proustian tea party
Smell Bent Tea House is available in 4 ($7) or 50 ($50) ml Eau de Toilette.

Hmmm….sounds nice for summer.
It does.
Agree! I’m super interested to try this.
Please report back if you do!
Bottle looks cheap. I would be interested to sniff this.
The bottles all look like that — pretty sure they could care less about the packaging.
The unattractive packaging is what I dislike about this company.
Ya, I don’t mind it for the sample sizes but I don’t know if I could buy one of the full-size bottles. And it’s plastic, no?
No, they’re glass bottles.
The one good thing about the ugly packaging is that it’s reflected in the price.
That is, the 55ml bottle of One I bought a few years ago was glass, and the three 4ml minis of Florist’s Fridge that I bought more recently have all been glass.
Very curious about the notes! Meredifay is right, the bottle looks cheap.
Brent does high quality scents, inventive and stylish, I consider him the Jacques Guerlain of our time.
The bottles are plastic, but I have never had an issue with evaporation.
Smell Bent does some fantastic scents – I recommend jumping on their Frankensmellies – they are almost always a wonderful surprise, and are always gleefully inexpensive.
To clarify, the small ( 5 ml) bottle are plastic. The 50 ml are glass
This one might be worth an online order….I haven’t sampled from him in a couple of years!
The 4ml minis I’ve purchased directly from Smell Bent in the last year are in glass vial sprays. I can’t confirm that’s what they’re currently offering, but their customer service is amazing and they’ll respond to any questions promptly. While their presentation is not luxe nor destined to capture the eye, they do offer a wide range of highly original scents that I feel are neither mainstream nor overtly avant garde. I appreciate their scents and their sense of humor that doesn’t denigrate what they offer nor the sensibility of their clientele.
Their FBs are glass. They’re very responsive to email too — I procrastinated once, and by the time I’d decided to order a particular scent, it was gone from their website. So I emailed and asked if they had any left — sure enough, they had a few remaining, and they sent it right away. Very pleased 🙂
I just fell hard for Assam of India, and now I want to smell Tea House. Perfume and tea, tea and perfume, here’s proof (again!) they’re the same hobby, lol.
Am I bonkers for ordering scents unsmelled? Thanks to this blog I went to their site and got this tea scent, a pear one and a florists fridge!
