Salvador Dali Sunrise in Cadaques ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 20 March 2017 11 Comments

Salvador Dali Sunrise in Cadaquès

Parfums Salvador Dali has launched Sunrise in Cadaquès, a new fresh floriental fragrance for women.

A captivating, vibrant feminine Eau de Toilette that subtly combines the contrasting softness and luminous energy of the nature of Cadaquès that peacefully awakens at sunrise.

The composition opens on a truly refreshing top note: a charmingly feminine, spicy citrus bouquet of mandarin, bergamot, elemi and pink peppercorns.

These spices warm up the soft, deeply floral heart of iris and jasmine and the sunny, spicy facet of immortelle flower and the powdery facet of heliotrope.

The very warm, sensuous base notes of the composition are centered around musk, patchouli, labdanum and balsam of Peru which extend the refined, deliciously addictive signature of this fragrance.

The radiant scent of SUNRISE IN CADAQUÈS asserts a sunny, natural and elegant femininity

Sunrise in Cadaquès was developed by perfumer Vincent Ricord.

Salvador Dali Sunrise in Cadaquès is available in 30, 50 and 100  ml Eau de Toilette.

I find that bottle slightly creepy. Leaves me uninterested in finding out about the juice it contains….

That would rule out much of the Salvador Dali line for you!

True, I like the idea of Dali and his work, but the actual visual work often is off-putting to me, either anxiety producing creepy or slightly nauseating, or both. I haven’t smelled any of his perfumes….but I do not want that bottle.

IMO the Salvador Dali line is very nice for the price point (esp. Salvador Dali Pour Homme) but “fresh floriental” makes me go hmmm.

I actually like the bottle but I don’t like some of his others. I do like Salvador Dali parfum, the kind that comes in the black bottles shaped like a sculptural nose and lips.

Agreed, on this bottle and the original Salvador Dali perfume. I haven’t tried any of the newer ones, although I’m curious. I know Francis Kurkdjian did one of the purple ones.

I looked it up, and FK did Purplelight, which is supposed to be based on lilac. Reviews on Fragrantica are mixed, mostly because commenters found it too weak and short-lived, but it sounds as if it is nice while it lasts!

Looks like it might start singing a chorus from “Science Fiction, Double Feature”.

That is HILARIOUS! You nailed it. I still like the bottle, though. Damn it, Janet!
