Jo Malone will launch The Bloomsbury Set, a new limited edition collection of five fragrances, in March. Blue Hyacinth, Garden Lilies, Leather & Artemisia, Tobacco & Mandarin and Whisky & Cedarwood were inspired by the Bloomsbury Group and Vanessa Bell's Charleston House in Sussex.
Blue Hyacinth ~ inspired by the gardens at Charleston House, a floral with hyacinth, geraniums and vetiver.
Garden Lilies ~ inspired by the pond at Charleston House, an aquatic floral with water lily, green sap , ylang ylang, vanilla and white musk.
Leather & Artemisia ~ inspired by the library, with absinthe, artemisia, orris, leather and cypriol.
Tobacco & Mandarin ~ after dinner at Charleston, with mandarin, sage, beeswax and sweet tobacco.
Whisky & Cedarwood ~ nights at Charleston, with whisky, roses, pimento and waxed wood floors.
Jo Malone The Bloomsbury Set Blue Hyacinth, Garden Lilies, Leather & Artemisia, Tobacco & Mandarin and Whisky & Cedarwood will be available in 30 ml.

Update: The Bloomsbury Set fragrances were developed by perfumer Yann Vasnier.
I know I never go to the library with a flask of absinthe.
Without*
Well certainly you ought not go into the library at Charleston without proper fortification đ
I can’t say that any of these really sound appealing to me. Money saved!
I managed to miss the 2016 collection (The Herb Garden) entirely. A few of these sound good to me but we’ll see if I manage to get to the mall while the testers are out.
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I agree. đ
As a long time Bloomsbury goon, I will be checking these out.
Well they sound lovely.I think JM still does a good job without Jo Malone herself.
I love the absinthe tie-in to go with the library theme. You know, with infamous writers using absinthe when inspiration lacked and all…
My wallet is worried – this is probably
Oops – the cat stepped on the “post reply” button. This is one group of authors that I adore, so I am more than curious to smell these!!
oh goodness…too funny about the cat!!!
I like the packaging. The one I would like to try is Tobacco & Mandarine. Speaking of Jo Malone, I am on page 98 of her autobiography but had to return the book to the library. I will eventually finish the book.
Please tell me how you think it is. I thought I would be getting it for Christmas, but didn’t. đ So, I have thought about getting it. I think it was Angela or Robin (sorry, it slips my mind which said it) that it had little to do with perfume. I am still fascinated with the perfumer. Is it an interesting read?
Angie reviewed it đ
Definitely an easy read as Angela mentioned. A quarter into the book (400 pages or so total), we’re still at her mid-teen years so in my humble opinion, the section I read probably could be condensed into at most 50 pages.
I would not be opposed to sampling these if I happen to pop into a Jo Malone….the bottles are interesting too.
I agree. They are quite unique!
Looks like fun, will definitely test these.
I would like to collect the whole set, but I doubt if I’ll get around to it. Love the cute bottles!
Last year, I bought the Clover and Nasturtium. Ended up not wearing it too often, although I quite liked it (but that was probably due to the size of my collection and borderline-pathological sample buying ????.) Too much competition.
Probably a good thing that my nearest Jo Malone counter is 20 miles away in terrible traffic! No temptation if the commute keeps me away….
