Clean Reserve Citron Fig & Sel Santal ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 8 December 2016 2 Comments

Clean Reserve Citron Fig and Sel Santal

Clean has launched Citron Fig and Sel Santal, two new additions to the Clean Reserve collection.

Citron Fig ~ Green citrus. "Reserve Citron Fig is inspired by a spirited confidence that awakens when you realize your true potential. The warm sweetness of fig blends with zesty ginger and the tang of lemon. The heart introduces juicy mandarin highlighting an intriguing combination of cardamom and mint over a soft base of sandalwood, cedarwood, and musk." Additional notes include copaiba.

Sel Santal ~ Green oriental. "Inspired by an unwavering dedication to beauty, boldness, and inner-strength, Sel Santal blends crisp mandarin leaves with bright bergamot over a heart of rich salted fig and hazelnut cream. In the base, decadent amber and opulent sandalwood round out the scent." Additional notes include nutmeg tonic, iris, violet, styrax and rose musk.

Clean Reserve Citron Fig and Sel Santal are $90 each for 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

I am confused by the abundance of notes in Sel Santal. Such a mish-mash of things I wouldn’t necessarily expect to be together. Mandarin and bergamot over salted fig and hazelnut cream? And it’s a green oriental? Mind boggled..

Given that it’s Clean, I’d expect a sheer gourmandish oriental, but really no idea.
