Paris-based jewelry brand Satellite will launch Padparadscha Noir next month. The new fragrance for women is a flanker to Padparadscha, and celebrates Satellite's 30th anniversary.
Padparadscha Noir was developed by perfumer Sandra Dziad. Notes for the modern woody oriental fragrance include grapefruit, ginger, cloves, elemi, frankincense, black pepper, pink pepper, tolu balsam, benzoin, rose, jasmine, patchouli, sandalwood, guaiac wood, rock rose, vanilla and musk.
Satellite Padparadscha Noir will be available in 2 sizes of Extrait de Parfum, and is being issued as a limited edition.

I thought they had discontinued all their perfumes. Padparadscha was really good, i’m curious about this noir extrait version
I think they did, and some sites are listing this one as their first fragrance.
It seems like noir usually means they added some patchouli-not my favorite note. But I like the bottle and I liked Padparadscha, so I’ll hope for the best.
Anything is possible, since the original is no longer on the market.
Well, if we’re now allowed to make flankers for long-discontinued things, that changes everything.
(on the other hand, I have a swapped sample of padparadascha, and like everything besides how little it lasts, so I might not be the worst candidate for this)
Oh, but they can’t be the first. Just now nothing else is springing to mind, but pretty sure it’s been done! There are no rules 🙂
Bulgari Omnia has been discontinued for awhile, but it seems like it gets a new flanker every year or so.
There you go. But it did, admittedly, start its line of flankers before it got axed. There must be something “long since axed” that got a flanker, but I’m still trying to think of it.
I have a half full bottle of the original and have always enjoyed it.
And I like the bottle with the little tassel so I shall hope this is a good one!
