Dolce & Gabbana have launched Velvet Pure, a new fresh floral addition to the brand's Velvet series. The last in the series was Velvet Ginestra, introduced earlier this year.
With a name inspired by the scent’s pure, green floral quality, this fragrance is defined by the Reseda flower, a floral ingredient missing from scent creation in recent decades.
With its unique green crystalline floralcy, Velvet Pure is an homage to the art of traditional perfumery.
[...] A blend of floral notes, inspired by the nostalgic scent of the Mediterranean Reseda flower. A crisp, floral accord of Galbanum, Jasmine and Cistus Labdanum. A crisp fresh Fig Leaf Accord and airy Jasmin Alcoolat.
Raw yet sweet-smelling notes of Narcissus and Jonquille Absolutes. Rich floral notes of North African Neroli and Geranium. The pure green earthiness of Haitian Vetiver and Orris Butter.
Dolce & Gabbana Velvet Pure is available in 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

I love the smell of Reseda flowers! And they’re right about the smell not being used in perfumes much. I’ve seen a few long gone soliflores listed somewhere. Resedas have quite a unique smell. More fruity than floral.
It is the same as mignonette, no? Can’t remember if I have ever smelled the flower.
