We aren’t coming with a collection of fragrances. We are coming with a collection of experiences. We don’t want to launch another collection of fragrances.

Haha haha haha haha!
Love truth first thing in the morning.
NOT suffering fools gladly today.
That thing about protesting too much springs to mind.
I’m… not understanding the difference.
There’s a subtle but fine distinction. Somewhere in there. Maybe.
Semantics. Or better yet, some antics…….
Heh touché!
😀
Yeah. Ok. If you say so. 🙁
Does “luxury” have any meaning any more in the world of fragrance? I can grasp the difference between a regular old car and a luxury automobile, and it’s not just the price tag, but if Victoria’s Secret or Body Shop wants to launch a luxury fragrance (or 10), who’s to say they can’t?
These multiple launches are completely out of control. I want some house to launch one hundred scents all at the same time, just because they can, and if it happened I would not be one bit surprised.
Yes to everything in your post!
I needed a good belly laugh this morning, and that did the job.
No matter how they spin it, it’s still perfume.
Love the comments here this morning!
I just googled this and the scents are going to be $140 for 50 mL, $240 for 100 mL, which is not out of line for a niche scent, although I doubt they’ll be anything like niche. (I’m thinking lots of fancy talk about iced nectarine and precious osmanthus petals, while the bottles contain the newest synthetics from Symrise and IFF.) Where the real money lies is in the add-ons: a leather sleeve for the bottle is $300, there’s a travel case for $3900, and you can have the leather sleeves mongrammed on the spot. Because that’s the true meaning of a luxury scent.
Damn I’m just too cynical.
