Comme Des Garçons Rose, which they discontinued, was my fragrance for I don’t know how many years. I went on eBay and I called a bunch of stores and bought as many bottles as I could. So I have one and a half left. But, I have my friends’ perfume called Regime De Fleurs, so I’m slowly going to go through and test. But I’m so associated with Rose. I wish I had saved all of the bottles. I probably could have a whole wall, some art piece. I had so many.
— Some of you hoarders will recognize the sentiment, yes? That's actress Chloë Sevigny, quoted in This is 40: Chloë Sevigny on Her Hair and Aging in Hollywood at W Magazine. (Other fragrances mentioned in the article include Lanvin Arpège and Old Spice.) Hat tip to @NouveauCheap at Twitter!
I remember reading an interview with her, years and years ago, in which she mentioned CdG Rose as her favorite. I feel her pain…
CdG does seem to cycle some of the series in & out of production. Maybe she’ll get lucky?
Interesting how she associates NOT having children with the fountain of youth…not sure I agree with that…..
It certainly cuts your “youthful freedom” short at first. Not sure it works so well long term.
I doubt it, but I wonder if she’s referring to CdG’s Red Series: Red Rose (this is the same series that has Sequoia) — in which case, Chloe, if you’re out there I can hook ya up!
Oh, I assumed that was exactly what she was referring to.
Huh. I’ve seen it around here and there and I think you can get decants still. I own a bottle, but it’s nothing amazing at all. I see her a CdG, but I see her in something a bit weirder or avant-garde.
