So I have decided to try a different approach: I will write reviews of niche fragrances at my own pace. I will pick only the ones I love, hence the name of this blog. That way small firms who send me samples can take comfort in knowing that the worst that can happen is no review. When a great mainstream fragrance comes along, I will review that too, since there is no point excluding good stuff simply because it is widely available.

Wow, how….. benevolent of him…. I guess.
I’ll stick check out the blog though.
I am looking forward to the reviews!
I am too. It’ll be nice to hear his opinion on more niche scents.
Lorenzo Villoresi showing of vegetal amber claiming it to be ambergris. How embarrasing. If that’s ambergris I have thousands of dollars worth in one of my chest drawers.
🙂
Love his writing and looking forward to hot tips on great scents. Following!
I visited his blog today, hurriedly skimmed (while at work) through his first post, blasted off a quick geeked-out comment like, “I commit deep-dive Google searches just to find and devour everything you write. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and talent.” In about a half-hour, an email landed in my inbox. From. Him. Tried pasting a partial screenshot here but my tech skills are lacking. He thanked me for my comment, apologized for having to turn off comments on his blog but wanted to make sure I knew he’d received mine and appreciated it. I sat there, staring at the message, mouth agape for a few, re-reading each word, the Athens address, Skype handle, et. al included in his signature. Sweet. Jeez. That one stays in my inbox forever. ❤️
Yes, I am a huge fan. So pleased to be able to read his work again. I just had a quick look, and his most recent piece is about Sultan Pasha, who apparently approached him at Essenza and gave him some samples. By coincidence my 1ml of Aurum d’Anghkor (gorgeous) arrived last week from SP. I love these instances if synchronicity in the perfume world.
