Profile 18 Amber Wood ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 24 February 2016 8 Comments

Profile 18 Amber Wood

Actor Rob Lowe's grooming and skincare line for men, Profile, has launched their debut fragrance, 18 Amber Wood.

"I wanted our debut fragrance to be bold, yet subtle and to make a strong, confident statement. I wanted to create a sexy, yet subtle scent for the red carpet moments in every man's life." — Rob Lowe

***

PROFILE believes today's man should be bold. Not necessarily in a flashy way, but a standout in any room he enters and with a subtle, humble, unforgettable and uniquely personal magnetism. That's the worldview that inspired the brand's debut fragrance, 18 Amber Wood. With top notes of Sicilian bergamot, pink pepper and crisp fig leaves followed by aromatic and spicy blue sage, lavender and cardamom seeds, 18 Amber Wood finishes with a base of woody back notes of sandalwood, sequoia bark and red Colorado cedar. It is a unique scent that makes a statement.

Additional notes include orris.

Profile 18 Amber Wood is available now at Nordstrom, $89.50 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

The ad copy and the notes are actually rather refreshing for a celebrity scent. I would never seek this out but I would certainly give it a smell if it passes my way.

It’s refreshing just when they don’t put their name on the product!

Is this where one inserts a crack about the name of the company versus the underage scandal he had some years back? ;)

The acto aside, the scent sounds lovely enough.

Ha, I don’t even remember the scandal and refuse to go look it up…I’m sure I’m happier not remembering!

The scandal was the typical big star cliche of Rob having relations with a very underage young woman. The twist was that he videotaped their relations together or something to that effect. He and his wife had another scandal with a nanny a couple of years ago if I remember correctly. Who cares, if the scent is a well crafted fragrance none of the above would deter me from purchasing the fragrance. Rob is just a marketing tool behind the product and essentially interchangeable with any of the other celebrities out there looking to diversify themselves into fragrance, deodorant, dishware, sheets, etc.

I bought this as my friend was wearing it. This is one amazing fragrance. It attracts females and men (my personal choice). My female friends can’t stop smelling me when I wear this. I had to ship it to England from the states.
