French niche line Histoires de Parfums has launched Ceci n'est pas un Flacon Bleu / This is Not a Blue Bottle, a new unisex fragrance.
This is a brilliant message of abstraction. From the elemental to the experimental, an expression of an olfactory hallucination, a magnetic attraction, a sensual tatoo [sic] reading pleasure on the skin, an excitement of the senses, and the vibrant rhythm of life, love and freedom.
[...] This perfume was created from an irresistible aldehyde, a hypnotic call of fantasized pleasure from Bitter Orange. Amber tattooed skin afire with desire. A mysterious abyss of Patchouli emotion.
[...] For its latest publication, Histoires de Parfums is releasing a blue page representing freedom of expression for all. This time Histoires de Parfums is not telling a novel, nor citing a tale or poem. This blue page is yours to write as no one else can do it for you. It’s up to you to be the author of your story.
Additional notes include metallic geranium, polar honey and ethereal musk.
Histoires de Parfums Ceci n'est pas un Flacon Bleu / This is Not a Blue Bottle is available in 14, 60 and 120 ml Eau de Parfum.

Sounds (smells) delicious from the description…
I am not always a big fan of aldehydics, but it sounds worth a shot at least.
Histoires have released some memorable scents (their “1969” was lovely). The contrived Magritte meets Yves Klein references in the copy make it seem like they are trying way too hard to be super chic. Want to test this one out though
Agree they’ve done some lovely things, although the percentage that I like is a bit low maybe. But this sounds fun…
Metallic geranium? Geranium already has a steely quality to it IMHO so an amped up version would scare me away!
Feels like getting close to Eaux Faux time, I’d say.
Hmmm, I would love a sniff. Bitter orange and amber…. patchouli I like the sound of it at least. I love that blue color.
