Hi Robin,
Many thanks for the generous draw! I live in the U.S….
My favorite Different Company scent is Sel de Vetiver, purchased a bottle on first sniff.
One T.V. show I totally enjoyed was Jessica Jones – I binge watched the entire first season upon discovery.
Happy New Year to you!
Thanks for the drawing! I live in the U.S. I haven’t really smelled any TDC perfumes, but do like incense. My favorite book of the year (that I know was published in 2015) was “No Better Friend” by Robert Weintraub, about a heroic English Pointer named Judy. She was the only documented canine POW in WWII.
I just re-read your review and it sounds lovely, though very different from anything in my collection. I’d love to give it a sniff!
I have never sniffed anything from TDC (will have to remedy that soon). My favorite book of 2015 was The Marvels by Brian Selznick. It’s a children’s title that will probably not win an award (his first book, the Invention of Hugo Cabret, won the Caldecott to much controversy). It’s absolutely lovely though and deserves recognition.
I live in the US.
Thanks for the draw!
I live in the USA and this is one fragrance I want to try! Have been trying to find it on various sites.
Best show -The Affair
Best book – Fates and Furies tied with Circling the Sun
Best thing ever – 11 hours sleep last night????
One of the first niche perfumes I bought was Different Co. Bergamont for my sister. She LOVES it. The Sel de Vetiver has tempted me too.
Fun draw, thanks
I live in the US you may use my info
Cool draw! My favorite from the Different Company is Sel de Vetiver. Ihave two botlles of it!!!
One show from 2015 that I enjoyed a lot was The Man In The High Castle. I recommend that show.
I live in the US.
Happy 2016!!!!
Hello Robin!
I live in the US, and I’ve been enjoying the Cormoran Strike mystery books by “Robert Galbraith” (aka J K Rowling). Still waiting for this year’s book to become available from my library.
I live in the US. Favorite show: Jessica Jones. Favorite TDC: Sel de Vetiver.
Thank you, Robin, for such a fantastic giveaway. I live in the U.S. Favorite 2015 TV show was Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown. I’m late to that party. Have been watching the current season on CNN and binge-watching past seasons on Netflix. So well written, edited, and photographed, the show is fascinating for this infrequent traveler. In my mind, Bourdain is food’s Jean Claude Ellena, willing and able to teach and show us the beauty in every day experiences. They both reveal the beauty of each step involved in creating an end result, a meal with Bourdain / a fragrance for Ellena. In doing so, the viewer or the wearer is shown the how and the why an end result is so much more than the sum of its parts. My favorite part of Bourdain’s show is the last few minutes, when he sits back and revels with friends in his newly-created beauty, the meal. Highlights how important it is to take a moment and enjoy the absolute beauty that exists in the everyday. I like to think Bourdain has a killer fragrance collection. One or two he carries abroad with an elite few stationed at home base. Such is the story I’ve built at least. 🙂
I live in the US and thanks for the draw. I’ve never tried anything from TDC although I’m waiting on a sample of I Miss Violet. The best show of 2015 for me was the HBO series The Jinx about Robert Durst. What a bizarre and dangerous man. I did read some books but none were all that memorable.
I live in the US, and my favorite scent from any company is TDC Rose Poivree. I just got a new bottle from my husband for Christmas and it’s still my love – photorealistic and spicy and dirty and wonderful. Thank you for the chance at this!
Thanks for the giveaway. I live in the United States. I’ve been enjoying decants of Bois D’Iris and Sel de Vetiver and would like to explore this line even further.
Happy New Year!
Wheee a draw! I live in the US and haven’t smelled anything form TDC yet.
I am obsessed with The Great British Bake Off and have devoured any and all episodes I can get my hands on. I wish American broadcasters would do a reality show like this! Baking for the joy of baking, everyone is nice to each other, no manufactured drama; it’s lovely.
I live in the US. Thanks so much for this drawing. I am not really familiar with The Different Company, but this one sounds good. My favorite movie of 2015 was The Peanuts Movie. Not, perhaps, a very sophisticated choice, but I grew up reading the comic strip and watching the TV specials, and I can relate to Charlie Brown in many ways.
I live in the US. I can’t remember sampling any TDC, although I’m sure I must have tried at least one at some time along my perfume journey. My current favorite TV show is Elementary – it keeps me going between episodes of Sherlock.
Hello, I live in the U.S. and would love to be entered in the draw. I like several TDC fragrances: Jasmin de Nuit in the winter, I Miss Violet, Sublime Balkiss on a hot day. I only own two small travel sprays: Bois d’Iris and Un Parfum d’Ailleurs et Fleurs. I would love to try Le 15.
Hmmm. No favorite movie, but I enjoyed Burnt which didn’t get great reviews, however, as I love food/cooking/nutrition (dietitian here), I found it fascinating.
Thanks for the draw and your posts and place for us to write scented thoughts, ask questions and be among fragrance friends! Happy 2016!
Oh exciting! I love in the US.
I sadly haven’t tried any of TDC. I don’t know of a retailer that carries them in Texas, otherwise I’d make a pilgrimage.
Thank you, Robin! I live in the U.S. I know that very early in my perfumista days I acquired several TDC samples, but I can’t remember which they were, and I certainly don’t have any FBs. Let this be the first! What I’ve watched this year has been on TV or Netflix, not in a theater, and my favorite has been Fargo. I love the Coen Bros., their bloodthirsty kookiness, and wonderful, offbeat characters.
Thank you for everything you do. NST is way at the top of my list of favorites in 2015.
Yes, I live in the US (just north of Memphis, where it is COLD today).
Haven’t had an opportunity to try many of The Different Company offerings, so my favorite TV show of 2015 was the second season of Fargo, followed closely by The Blacklist.
Was wondering how others stored the auxiliary products for their favorite scents so that they are handy. Only so much room in my bathroom cabinet, and the hubby insists on having some room for HIS things. 🙂
My favorite TDC is De Bachmakov. On tv I loved the PBS series, I’ll Have What Phil Is Having, now on Netflix, great travel/foodie show. Loved the Nina Simone documentary. I’m in the US. Happy New Year everyone!
My favorite TDC is Jasmine de Nuit.
I live in the U. S. and you have permission to use my email, etc.
Thank you and Happy New Year!!
Thanks for the giveaway! Jasmin de Nuit is my favorite from TDC. My favorite tv shows, at least the few best that come to mind, were Daredevil, Jessica Jones, The Jinx, Flesh and Bone and Making a Murderer. I’m only halfway through MaM, but it could definitely make the list.
Oops I forgot to mention that I live in the US!
I live in the US and you may use my contact info..
Favorite new show: Supergirl( also have been liking Quantico,IZombie ,Once upon a Time and Blacklist though the last two I tend to wait and binge watch on Netflix ).
Haven’t sniffed a thing to my recollection from this line, heard good things though ! Thanks for the draw!
Thanks for such a generous draw! I love in the US and my favorite fragrance from The Different Company is Tokyo Bloom. To be fair, it’s the only I’ve tried so far but I do absolutely love it. I don’t have any favorite new shows, but my hubby and I just started watching the walking dead and now I’m obsessed!
Wow! What a generous way to start 2016!
I am in the US and of course okay to use my posted email address in the off chance you need to contact me 🙂
I have sampled and liked Oriental Lounge but that was a few years ago. I don’t have access to this brand unless I order samples online, so that has limited me.
Favorite TV show has to be season 1&2 of Fargo- totally and terrifically twisted and the line between bad guy/good guy flickers, wavers, and becomes indistinct. Good stuff!
Ooooh, want. 🙂
I live in the US. I haven’t tried many TDC scents, but my favorite has been Bois d’Iris. As for TV, I’m raving to anyone who will listen about Rectify, a Sundance show. The first season is on Netflix and the second and third are available on Amazon. Today I plan to finish reading The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins. A totally addictive mystery novel from 1859.
I live in the US. I am looking forward to Outlander coming back soon on TV, its one of my favorite shows. Keeping up with all new perfume releases has become way too hard, so now I am trying to be more selective and sample what I feel would appeal to me. My favorite TDC scent is Oriental Lounge for sure. Thank you so much for the opportunity.
I live in the US, and I think Rose Poivree beats Bois d’Iris by just a hair as my favorite TDC scent. Sel de Vetiver is in a category by itself, of course. Thanks for the draw!
Thanks for this awesome drawing! I’m a U.S. resident, my favorite TDC is Rose Poivree, and my most recent favorite book I’ve read is Fashion Victims: The Dangers of Dress Past and Present by Allison Matthews David. The book is a fascinating & informative look at some of the dangerous, but common items used in clothing of the past (e.g. mercury in hat making, arsenic in green dye, etc.). If one is interested in fashion (especially vintage) and science, it’s great reading.
I live in the USA…Favorite movie is Star Wars: The Force Awakens!
I live in the US. I’m not familiar with TDC fragrances but Le 15 sounds great! The TV show I enjoyed most in 2015 was Sherlock, and I’m looking forward to the new season that I believe will start this month.
I have a US mailing address and I’ll jabber about Fargo to anyone who will listen. Also Please Like Me, which can be seen on Hulu.
Rose Poivree is the one I like the most from TDC of those I have sampled. I’ve enjoyed Master of None, a made for Netflix comedy series created by and starring Aziz Ansari. I think the fragrance should be worn while watching the show. I live in the US. Thank you!
Many thanks for the giveaway!
I have a US mailing address.
Favourite movie of 2015: Liza the Fox-Fairy
Thanks for the giveaway, Robin–I love Jasmin de Nuit, but you know I am a jasmine girl from way back!
I live in the USA and hope that you will mail this to me!!
Just tried to go to the movies with my nephew to see Spotlight, but it was all sold out! boooo.
How lovely! I do live in the US and you can use the email associated with my account here. I read a really difficult (emotionally) book a few month ago called “The Moment I First Believed,” and I highly recommend it. Thanks for the chance!
I live in the US. Unfortunately, 2015 has been kind of dud for me and I didn’t read anything that I absolutely loved, and I’ve stopped watching many of my favorite shows. TDC is out of my price range and I try not to sample anything I can’t afford.
I’ve only tried a couple from The Different Company, but I love both of them- Jasmin de Nuit and Une Nuit Magnetique (I’m trying to decide which one to purchase.)
My favorite books from the last year were Hausfrau by Jill Alexander Essbaum and Unfaithful Music and Disappearing Ink by Elvis Costello.
I live in the U.S. and the email address in my profile is correct. Thanks for the giveaway!
Thank you for the wonderful giveaway!
I live in the US! I haven’t tried a bunch of TDC, but I do love Tokyo Bloom. And I was obsessed with The Knick over the last few weeks — devastated that I finished the 2nd season and I have no more left. 🙁
I live in the U.S.A. and you have permission to use my email address.
I’ve been listening to Courtney Barnett and all of her music, and
particularly ‘Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit’.
It is very enjoyable. Check it out !
Thanks for the draw, I’d love to try this! I live in the US. My favorite TV show discovery of 2015 is The Great British Bake-Off. I’m addicted!
I live in the USA. I have never smelled anything from TDC. My favorite show of 2015 was the final season of Mad Men. The last episode was perfect. I also really like Bates Motel. Thank You for the draw.
Thanks for the generous draw, Robin! I haven’t had an opportunity to try anything by The Different Company…yet!
I’ve just finished viewing the second season of Transparent on Amazon Prime. It is the most incredible show on TV now and I couldn’t recommend it more.
Best books of the year
The Nightingale – I thought I had read enough WWII historical fiction but this was truly amazing. Also, Secret Wisdom of the Earth and The Painter.
As a middle school nurse I read a lot of young adult books (mainly as a tool to have something to chat with students about other than their ailments – it’s a nice surprese when I really enjoy the read). I recommend Rain Reign – such a special book about an very bright autistic girl who is somewhat obsessed with homonyms. Also, To all the Boy’s l’ve Loved Before and the sequel, PS I Still Love You. I’m a sucker for a good romance…apparently even those written for teens!
I live in the US. My favorite tv show of 2015 was probably Jessica Jones. My favorite TDC scent is probably Rose Poivree. Thank you for the generosity of this draw!!
Thanks for the chance, R! I’m in the US and the final season of either Justified or Mad Men was the best TV I watched in 2015, I’ll miss both shows.
I live in the USA and haven’t liked the couple of TDC scents I’ve tried, but I’ll mention that I thought “Mr. Robot” was quite interesting (new TV show).
Hi Robin,
I live in the US. I am looking forward to season two of Outlander as I read these books a looong time ago. My favorite book this year was probably The Tale of Murasaki by Liza Dalby. Thanks for the draw!
I live in the US. My favorite book of 2015 was Louise Penny’s latest book, the title of which completely escapes me right now. Geez I hate aging, although, as my DH points out, it beats the alternative. I have not had the fortune to try out any TDC fragrances-that much I DO know-so looking forward to the draw! Thank you for the opportunity.
I live in the U.S. and have been recently enjoying the original series on Amazon such as Man in the High Castle, Catastrophe, Transparent, and Red Oaks. Thanks for the draw!
I’m in the USA. My favorite TDC scent is Osmanthus, high above anything else! My favorite Osmanthus, and also one of my favorite spring/summer perfumes. 🙂 Thanks for the draw, Robin!
What an awesome draw! My favorite Different Company scent is Oriental Lounge. In terms on tv, I think Fargo was very well done. I read a lot of excellent books in 2015 – loved Ferrante’s Neopolitan series and discovered Albanian writer Ismail Kadare. I live in the US! Happy New Year to everyone 🙂
I live in the U.S.
Favorite TDC: Bois d’Iris, which is also my recently purchased first-ever FB from them. I had a generous decant that I’d just about drained, but really had to think hard about paying full price for the 50 ml. I am glad I did, although I dithered a long time between Bois d’Iris and de Bachmakov, which I like very much.
Favorite book of the year: Knausgaard’s _My Struggle_. I’ve read only Vol. 1, and I know that neither the original nor the English translation is a “new book of 2015,” but I only discovered his work this year. I tend to resist reading novels that get so much hype, but this one is the real deal; absolutely spellbinding writing. I have resisted reading the next volume because I know that I will be tempted to read it to the exclusion of all else, and I do have a job to keep.
Sorry to be so chatty. Happy New Year to all!
Robin, as always, thanks for this fabulous opportunity. I live in the U.S.
I haven’t had the opportunity to try one of The Different Companies fragrances, but I am always open to trying fragrances. 🙂
My favorite television show of 2015 is Narcos on Netflix about Pablo Escobar – the Columbian Drug Kingpin. I have really been taking advantage of watching some fantastic series that is on Netflix.
Thanks for the opportunity! I’m in the U.S. Have not tried any of TDC but have been interested in this one and I Miss Violet.
Hi
I live in the U. S. And my fave scent would be Bois D’Iris. Thanx for the draw ????
I live in the U. S. A and I have been rematching Gilmore Girls from the start, and loving it!
Thanks for the draw! I live in the US and you may use this e-mail address.
For me, this was the year that streaming series caught up with cable shows. Transparent, Jessica Jones, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt were all among my favorite shows last year.
Hello, what a lovely giveaway! I don’t have a favorite different company scent, but I think le 15 could be one… It’s been cold in Seattle and I’ve been wearing a sample of Tam Dao, and alternating with dkny ‘s black cashmere (not the new fruity one). I just say Joy and loved it, and have enjoyed homeland this year… Oh, and I do live in the US.
I am in the US. Thank you for the draw and all the fragrant fun found here at NST.
I’ve mentioned this before but I’m seriously hung up on watching Orphan Black. I cringe and must cover my eyes during the intense scenes, but the acting is fascinating and worth watching. Though the plot lines are absurd and fantastic I watch intently then ponder the elements of identity and the forces which shape each person into an individual like no other.
I live in the USA. Robin, have a Happy New Year and thanks for the opportunity!
I live in the US. I don’t own any TDC scents, but I have tried a few and thought very highly of Sel de Vetiver, Bois d’Iris and Rose Poivree. As always, thanks for the giveaways! 🙂
Robin, thanks. I live in the US.
My favorite fragrance from The Different Company is Bois d’Iris.
Truly enjoyed watching Downton Abbey in 2015.
(Too bad it’s on its last season in 2016)
Since I didn’t have any resolutions, I will resolve not to regret the ending of Downton Abbey and to always move forward in life!
I live in California
Happy New Years to all !
Best show of 2015 hands down IMHO is….,Fargo. Well done great acting. What cable TV should be all about
I live in the US.
And, I could just copy afml65’s posting above–
I live in California,
and I loved Fargo-couldn’t wait for the show each week. I loved the short season. The story and acting was amazing!
Robin, thanks for this lovely giveaway, and Best Wishes for a Wonderful New Year!
Thanks for the draw! This one sounds really good and I’ve been wanting to try it.
I’m in the US and my favorite TDC scent is Sel de Vetiver, although it is only out of two that I’ve tried so it probably shouldn’t count.
The only 2015 book I can remember reading was ‘Dreaming Spies’ by Laurie R. King, which isn’t my favorite of the series. Still, it’s better to have any Holmes and Russell than none.
I love Sel de Vetiver and Rose Poivree from TDC. I am in the US, and thank you for the giveaway 🙂 Happy new year to everyone!
I live in the US and am a huge fan of Rose Poivree. I’ve also really enjoyed De Bachmakov in hot weather. And my favorite books of 2015 were The Bone Clocks by David Mitchell, Thunderstruck short story collection by Elizabeth McCracken and Tiny Beautiful Things by Cheryl Strayed.
Thanks for the draw!
I live in the U.S. and feel free to use the email associated with my account here. And thanks so much as usual for the generous giveaway! My favorite Different Company fragrance is Sel de Vetiver.
Hi Robin, thanks for the great contest! I live in Canada but I do have a US address as well. My favorite from the Different Company is Bergamote.
I live in the U.S. and am looking forward to catching up on the most recent season of Homeland when I get a chance…such a great show.
My favorite TDC perfume is really a tie between Sel de Vetiver and Bois d’Iris. I love them both! I live in the U.S. Thank you for the draw, Robin!
I live in the US. My favorite TDC is de Bachmakov. Thanks for the draw!
Thanks for offering such a great giveaway Robin! I live in the US. My fav TDC fragrance is Oriental Lounge, but I love Sel de Vetiver too. My favorite TV show is The Walking Dead 😉 I really love the movie St. Vincent, but I think it was released in 2014. Such a sweet and funny tearjerker. Wishing you a Happy New Year!
Thank you for this draw! My favorite movie from 2015 wasn’t from 2015 at all, but that’s when I watched it: My Father’s Glory. A perfect movie — it left my husband and I beaming (and reaffirming our desire to move to Provence!) Fortunately for this draw, I live in the U.S. 🙂
Wow! This is a great drawing. Thank you for having it. The Different Company has many wonderful perfumes – hard to say which one I like best.
Hi, Robin, I have not come across a TDC fragrance I loved, but this sounds like it might be the one. Best book of 2015? For thought provoking, still has to be Diamond’s Catastrophe, which has a lot to do with climate change and also to do with politicians and political choices. Not published this yearn but highly relevant and explsnatory. For sheer silly entertainment a steam punk fantasy book, The Invisible Library has its sequel out just recently. Don’t remember the name off the top of my head, but it is silly rollicking good fun with handsome dragons and zeppelin and The Library between the world’s where no one ages…I am in the US, and thanks for the draw…
I live in the US and you can use my email. I don’t think I’ve ever tried any TDC perfumes. I did not have a favorite book or TV show in 2015 but I sure have a favorite movie: Spotlight, which is one of the best films about journalism and its relation to society ever. Thanks for the draw.
I am in the US.
My favorite TDC is Sel de Vetiver (though I haven’t sampled that many of their fragrances).
I live in the U.S. I haven’t tried any TDC scents yet!
This year, my favorite series was in Netflix, called The Chef’s Table. They had about six episodes about different amazing chefs from around the world. It really made me want to travel and to EAT!
I got Luca Turin’s Folio at Christmas and just love it. While I don’t share his taste in perfume, he is a joy to read!
Haven’t had a chance to test any TDC scents yet, but judging from the NST review, Le 15 is right up my alley. My favorite movie that I watched in 2015 was Tracks, the saga of a young Australian woman who sets off across the Australian desert on camelback. Unfortunately, I don’t quite have the budget for world travel, so one way that I live vicariously is through fragrance.
I live in the U.S. Good luck in the draw, fellow commenters!
Thank you for the draw.
I live in the US and actually am a huge fan of The Different Company, although I wish their fragrances had a better staying power.
My favorite from the line is Rose Poivre, followed by De Bachmakov, Oud for Love, and Bergamot.
Thank you
Incense sounds great. Would be a nice catch. I live in the US. Favorite from TDC is Tokyo Bloom. I recommend for anybody who likes Galaxolide/white-musk/clean mixes. Like S-Perfume or Guiac by Labo.
My favorite book that I read in 2015 is from ten years ago: “Arthur & George” by Julian Barnes. Such a good story and I loved how the story unfolded. (about how the son of a vicar and the world’s most famous detective become connected.)
I adore “I Miss Violet”, one of my favorite 2015 releases.
I am in the U.S. Thank you for the generous opportunity!
I’m in the US and of course you can use my email. I haven’t tried a lot of TDC, but I liked De Bachmakov and Osmanthus. As for favorites of this year…. I have a lot of stuff in my Netflix queue that I haven’t watched yet, but of what I have (and that was from this year), I really liked Daredevil. Black Mirror is also good, if you like your sci-fi bleak and British. There aren’t many episodes, but each one is long, more like a mini movie. I’ve also been making my way through a whole bunch of old-school Doctor Who (a friend of mine loaned me his collection of burned DVDs.. not the complete series by any means, but a pretty extensive overview).
Live in the U.S.
Love The Different Company, my favorite is Jasmin de Nuit. My favorite book of 2015 was The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah.
Thanks for this opportunity, Robin.
I live in the US.
I remember the first time I encountered The Different Company, at Barney’s, about a million years ago. There were only three scents and they were so unusual and elegant. I was smitten.
I think my favorite today is Sel de Vetiver–I’ve gone through several bottles–but I am fond of Jasmin de Nuit, Bergamot, and Osmanthus, too. I gave my Bois d’Iris to my younger brother, who totally rocks it.
Happy New Year to the lovely NST community. Wishing you all joy and peace in 2016.
I live in the US. I have never tried any of the Different Compnay fragrances, but would love to try this. I just recently saw the new Star Wars movie with my children, and thought that it was great.
I will miss Mad Men…loved the clothes!
thanks for the great giveaway…Happy New Year!
Happy New Year! I live in the US, and my favorite Different Company fragrance is Osmanthus. The whole range is a little expensive for me, though, so I never get past sample… alas. Why are good osmanthus fragrances so hard to come by?
I live in NYC and my favorite book of 2015 was “I Will Never Write My Memoir” by Grace Jones.
I live in the US.
My favorite book of 2015 was The Luckiest Girl Alive by Jessica Knoll, and my favorite movie was Gone Girl (although it came out in 2014, I didn’t see it until 2015).
Thank you for the draw!
I live in the US, and my favorite books of the year were Elena Ferrante’s Neapolitan novels.
Thanks for doing this!
I’m in the US, and the only TDC perfume I’ve tried is Sel de Vetiver, which I liked but didn’t love. Judging by the shows I’ve actually watched, rather than let pile up on the DVR, my favorites of fall 2015 were You’re the Worst and Fargo.
Wow! Thanks for the generous draw, Robin! I just discovered Restaurant Start-Up and binge-watched!
Thanks for the draw! I live in the US. I’ve been binge watching “The Making of a Murderer” on Netflix. Very engrossing!
I was gifted a small bottle of Bois d’Iris a few years ago. It’s quite nice. I live in the US.
I just finished Jon Krakauer’s “Into Thin Air” which I’ve been meaning to read for ages. Thanks!
I live in the US.
I LOVE De Bachmakov!
