Tocca has launched Emelia, the latest addition to their series of "Tocca girl" fragrances.
A free-spirited adventuress, Emelia calls the world her home. Her vivacious, bohemian spirit enchants with refreshing notes of fig and clementine grounded by the natural warmth of magnolia and geranium. Refreshing and vibrant, Emelia’s zest for life celebrates the spirit of wanderlust.
The notes include watery clementine, loquat fruit, bucchu leaves, fig leaf, geranium, magnolia leaf, amaryllis, fig, mate, bison grass, orris, praline, ambrette and coconut water.
Tocca Emelia is available now at Sephora, $68 for 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

Every time I see a Tocca fragrance, I think of one of my dearest friends. I always want to try the fragrances because I automatically associate it with her. A fragrance association is a powerful thing, in my opinion. Looking at the notes and thinking of Jessica’s post today, this sounds like it could possibly be a holiday fragrance.
This would probably be the Tocca fragrance I would actually wear. I love a good fig scent. It seems like a “green” scent and then has some praline too. WoW! 🙂
And I could swear they already make a fig, but refuse to go investigate!
Bison grass? Whaaa?
If that’s similar to buffalo grass it’s a great way to flavour vodka. I do realize that’s something of a non-sequitor…
Also in Kusmi Zoubrouvka tea!
Real Polish Żubrówka i.e. the vodka of my youth (cut with apple juice, traditionally) is supposed to be made with bison grass, Hierochloe odorata, and a single blade of the grass is supposed to be included in the bottle. It has a distinctive, coumarin heavy scent profile. It was listed as note in Humiecki & Graef’s Bosque.
I don’t think buffalo grass is related to it, though they may share some facets of the scent …?
One of the many synonyms for Hierochloe odorata. If you’ve never smellt it in person, the trodden leaves give off a delicious green, underripe, slightly citrus-y vanilla scent. I’ve never found a perfume that captures it precisely, but there’s a cheap-y handsoap and cream pair that comes close… can’t think of the brand.
Loquat fruit! I love loquats. 🙂 Praline, not so much.
Worth a shot, anyway!
Merry Christmas y’all! And Happy Holidays to those who don’t celebrate it. (You cannot be too politically correct these days LOL!)
I am looking forward to try this fragrance.
Honestly most of the Tocca line is too sweet to my taste. Even the juice is sticky on my skin! (Tried them many times over the years) BUT they are immensely giftable in my book. I love getting the small coffret to give as a gift, usually from Sephora while I am visiting the states, and everyone loves them!
I think they really found a nice balance between the bottling, the packaging, the fragrance, the quality of all those things and the pricing.
Ok it looks like I’m a fan… Go Tocca! If someone at the company is listening: Do not lower your quality please! It is so hard to find fairly priced quality…ANYTHING these days. 🙂
