More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US. Today's post includes collector editions from Atkinsons, Annick Goutal and Yves Rocher; plus a new Extrait de Parfum version of Alaïa Paris.
From Atkinsons, a special edition of 24 Old Bond Street: "This covetable-collectable marks the inaugural annual Atkinsons collaboration with the crème de la crème of Britain’s most talented designers to create a limited edition version of 24 Old Bond Street, the emblematic fragrance of the House. For this first Limited Edition, Atkinsons has collaborated with celebrated British designer Christopher Jenner, winner of the 2012 ‘British Breakthrough Designer’. Christopher Jenner’s 24 Old Bond Street Limited Edition Harkens back to the Halcyon days of Atkinsons’ founding, and draws inspiration from Georgian England, a period considered the apex of the English style." £140 for 100 ml Eau de Cologne at Harrods.
From Annick Goutal, the masculine packaging of Eau d'Hadrien for Holiday 2015 (you can see the rest of this collection here and here.)
Also from Annick Goutal, a limited edition Eau d'Hadrien-inspired yule log made in collaboration with Paris tea house Angelina: "The collaboration between the two French brands focuses on the association of Sicilian lemon and woody cypress notes. Shortbread biscuit was used as the base of the pastry, paired with lemon, lime and a combination of yuzu and basil. The acidity is tempered by vanilla mousse from Madagascar and a dash of orange blossom. The resemblance goes beyond the tasting experience and is apparent in the visual design of the dessert that is covered by a chocolate shell in the shape of butterflies, the emblem of the Annick Goutal label." From Yves Rocher, a collectable edition of Quelques Notes d'Amour: "...these Quelques Notes d'Amour are contained in a timeless and precious bottle that is adorned with a heart." $31 for 50 ml Eau de Parfum at Yves Rocher.
From Azzedine Alaïa, Alaïa Paris in Extrait de Parfum: "From couture to perfume, Alaïa offers more women to be part of the happy few. Monsieur Alaïa's first fragrance is his declaration of love and allegiance to women. A tribute to goddesses. An alchemy that converts femininity into divinity." In 20 ml, $350 at Saks Fifth Avenue.
I will pass on the bottles, just hand me the cake!
Ha…I would go for that! It really does sound delicious.
I love Angelina–it is one of my favorite places in the world. I wish I had a Mont-Blanc to go with my tea right now.
Have never been there. I do with the US had better access to fabulous pastry, instead of just donuts & cupcakes.
I’m always puzzled by the elaborately made “crystal and gold” limited edition collectors bottles that are non-refillable sprays.
What do you do with them when they’re empty?
If I could get a dollar for every useless piece of something I have laying around at my house, I would have a garage sale right this minute.
LOL — I would have that garage sale too!
You both make excellent points!
The Alaia Bottle is VERY Alluring!
