I enjoyed this clip – thank you for posting it. I’m a big Penhaligon’s fan, as anyone who reads my comments on here will know, but I can’t help feeling that the brand has become somewhat devalued since the change of ownership. Much higher prices, many more new launches – used to be excellent value for money, now not so much.
They’ve changed hands so many times. You feel they will be worse off with Puig, or you mean you were unhappy with them under Fox Paine / Cradle Holdings?
Penhaligon is the father of modern fragrance? Ouch! Big claim.
It’s a great ad but it reminds me how very British Empire Penhaligon’s is. A reminder of when so much of the world map was coloured pink. It always leaves me a bit uneasy …
I assumed the “father of modern fragrance” was a little tongue in cheek? Dunno.
It’s like those old collage animations on Monty Python! Maybe a scent honouring the show is in order? What could be more British than that!
