French perfume house Caron has launched Pour un Homme Sport, a new variation on 1934's Pour Un Homme.
Pour Un Homme Sport breaks away from the olfactory and aesthetic codes of the original Pour Un Homme. The characteristic aromatic signature is enriched with citrusy, spicy and woody raw materials. The highly elaborate composition of these new notes creates a fresh, modern fragrance, a prelude to the new Caron man.
The sparkling, fresh top notes open with citrusy Grapefruit, green Mandarin from Italy and Indian Verbena, which meld with Absolute of green Lavender from France, in reference to the original Pour Un Homme.
The spicy freshness of blue Ginger from Madagascar and Indonesian Nutmeg is tempered by the woody softness of Virginian Cedar wood.
The delicious roundness of Tonka Bean, highlighted by Siam Benzoin, White Musk, and an infusion of natural Ambergris, imbues the fragrance with warmth and sensuality.
Caron Pour Un Homme Sport is available in 125 ml Eau de Toilette.

Dear lord, that’s unfortunate. Love the tag “sportification”, though.
The tag is getting more rest lately — the Olympics was the worst!
This actually sounds really nice. Perhaps its blasphemy but I think Pour un Homme could do with a bit of wood and citrus 🙂 And I think the sportification went well with Encre Noire so I have some hope!
I’m a bit on a Pour un Homme guy, but definitely not a sport guy. I never smell anything named sport but….did they mention *ambergris?*
I better go looking for this one.
