What is it: a new 2 ml mini of Aftelier Tango, courtesy of Mandy Aftel at Aftelier. Mandy had noticed comments here recently (nozknoz, I hope you are listening!) bemoaning that Tango had been discontinued. She does still make Tango for special orders, and she says she has some left over from her last batch.
How do I get it: For a chance to win, leave a comment on the website telling us a) your favorite Aftelier fragrance or b) your favorite natural perfume or c) something else you've been dying to say in a comment.
Be sure to use the “Post a comment” box; do not reply to another comment! Replies to comments will be deleted!
The contest will be open until noon or so next Wednesday, and I'll announce the winner on Thursday.
The fine print: Don't enter the contest unless I have permission to use the email address in your reader account to contact you. If the email address in your reader account is incorrect, you might want to fix it. If you are the winner and you fail to send me your mailing details within a couple weeks, I’ll give your prize away to someone else.
Cool! Ancient Resins! You can of course use my email which is my username at gee mail! Thanks for the chance!
If I need to say this, you may use my email address and I live in the U.S.
My favorite Aftelier fragrance is Parfum Prive (someone sent me a free sample); but I also love (believe it or not) Cacao which smells like those chocolate oranges that you smash on a hard surface during the holidays.
Aha, Tango is my favorite Aftelier! And I hope I can get enough interest from another or others at the next split meet to order the EdP spray, too.
I have not smelled anything by Aftelier, but I read a few reviews here and on Non-Blonde. It sounds interesting! I have a sample of Shangri La and Moon Bloom! Moon Bloom smells amazing but does not last on me for some reason! Keeping my fingers crossed for good luck in your give away! Thank you!
My favorite natural perfume is Gipsy by Providence Perfume Co. You can use my e-mail address as well.
My favourite Aftelier is Ancient Resins, but I would love to try tango.
Thanks for the chance! I have two favorites: Lumiere and Pink Lotus. She’s amazing!
My favourite Aftelier (of the ones I’ve tried) is Cuir de Gardenia, and I would love a chance to try Tango.
Ooh, exciting giveaway! My favorite natural perfume is Providence Perfume Company Summer Yuzu.
My favorite Aftelier is Cuir de Gardenia, but I also love and want more of the Chef’s Essences. Tango sounds truly lovely, too.
Sandalwood and Oud by a natural perfume company that I like and sadly the company name escapes me at the moment. Or am I hording them both for my own inventory hording, haha? Either way, I love both fragrances as my two favorite pure (in the true sense of the word) natural go to scents.
Thank you for this giveaway!
My favourite is Cuir de Gardenia! 🙂
I don’t (yet) have a favorite Aftelier fragrance, but my new favorite natural is the Ancient Essense Frankincense & Myrrh roll-on oil.
Thanks!
Sorry to say that I have never sampled anything from Aftelier. Thanks for the opportunities! 🙂
I’ve sampled one or two things from Aftelier, but so far nothing has really worked for me. Natural perfumes… not many of those either, I think, though it’s not something that I would necessarily notice and remember.
My favorite Aftelier fragrace, at least at the moment, is Palimpsest. But Tango and Cepes & Tuberose are very close behind!
I would love to try Tango! My favorite Aftelier is Cepes and Tuberose but my all-time favorite natural perfume is Olympic Orchids Tropic of Capricorn.
No need to enter me. I just wanted to comment that this draw is straight up nice and has knocked my cynicism down a good couple of notches.
What a wonderful act on Aftelier’s part, and NST’s part as well for providing such a great forum! Cheers and good luck to all who entered 🙂
I would love to know which Aftelier fragrances you and the community recommend as “must smell.” So far, I haven’t had the chance to experience any, but I really want to soon!
You haven’t stated US only, so this Canadian is going to give it a shot.
a) Haven’t yet sampled any Aftelier and am most curious about Ancient Resins (Leonard Cohen fan here). Also have yet to try the Chef’s Essences which are more readily available in my area.
b) My favourite natural perfume is Ayala Moriel’s tuberose bomb, Treazon.
c) I’ve been dying to say that if there was only one perfume blog I would want it to be NST, including all the lively and caring commenters.
Thanks for the draw opportunity.
I’m sorry to say I don’t have any experience with natural perfumes, but I would love to try Tango. Smoked seashells have piqued my interest!
This is great! My favorite Aftelier is Candide. I’d love to try Tango!
Many thanks!
I’ve never tried an Aftelier frag and I hear wonderful things! Thanks so much for the contest! 🙂
Fave Aftelier is Candide, and the disco’d one I’m bemoaning is Haute Claire.
I have a mini of Pink Lotus and it is gorgeous, long lasting and the bottle is v cute.
Woo hoo for the generous draw. My favorite Aftelier is Cuir de Gardenia. I am waiting for cooler weather to order Bergamoss!
I have the Ancient Resins oil and use it regularly. Thank you for the giveaway 🙂
I adore Sepia, I have never smelled anything like it, and it’s just amazing. I have one drop left from my sample and am saving it to wear on the anniversary of my grandma’s passing.
Please consider my comment as a second entry for nozknoz!
Unfortunately I haven’t tried any Aftelier scents but I am curious. You could use my email for the giveaway. Thanks
What a generous giveaway! Would love to try Tango! Maybe it would be my favorite natural perfume…
What a great draw! I have too many favorites from the line including Tango. If I had to pick one it might have to be Secret Garden. Or cepes and tuberose. or wild roses. Ah well!
Thank you for the opportunity! I have never tried a Mandy Aftel perfume yet, but going to Berkley, smelling her perfumes in loco and eating like a fiend is something that I plan to do some day. My favorite natural is Fire and cream. Refreshing in the opening with all that white lavender than warm and cozy. Wonderful. My e mail is anastasiaguidi Hotmail.
My favorite Aftelier is Cepes and Tuberose (on the to-buy list)and my favorite natural is probably Soivohle’s Amon Re: The Tears of Ra
I have never smelled an Aftelier perfumes but I do love to tango! Thanks for the opportunity to smell one!
Tango! Tango is my favorite! I have a small bottle that just has residue left at the bottom but my daughter and I enjoy unscrewing the top and smelling. I had always intended to buy more. Poop! I hope to win, if not I will have to try to get my hands on some more before it’s gone forever. Now I am verklempt.
Oh my gosh–this is so kind of Mandy. Thank you! For natural perfumes, I’m currently really excited about Honore des Pres’s Sexy Angelic–but I haven’t tried Tango yet, and I hear very good things! 🙂
This is so kind!! My favorite is Cepes and Tuberose
I have never tried anything from Aftelier perfumes, but I have always wanted to! Thank you Mandy, and thank you NST!
Not necessarily my favorite natural scent, but my 95 year old mother in law just stayed for a 4 day visit. She is amazing, lives alone and travels regularly. Her signature scent for as long as I’ve known her (20+ years) is something called Rain. She buys it in an oil and a lotion form. I’ve actually never asked her about it – it’s such a part of her that it almost seems too personal to inquire about it.
What a wonderful draw! I love Mandy’s scents; Cepes and Tuberose is a favorite and Bergamoss is on my list to try. Tried to win Parfum Prive too. 🙂
Thank you NST and Aftelier for the opportunity!
I’ve read Mandy’s most recent book, but haven’t yet been able to try her scents. I’m only beginning to make the distinction between natural scents and others. Thanks for the chance to keep learning more!
I’ve never tried anything from Atelier- but something I’ve been dying to post in a comment I’m back on caaampuuuuuuus!
I have never tried this line before and judging by the notes Tango smells amazing! Id love to try it. Thank you for the giveaway : )
Many favorites, but tops for me is probably Cepes and Tuberose. Also love Tango and Ancient Resins.
A favorite natural perfume of mine is Gratitude by Zorica.
Thank you for this drawing.
Aftelier Tango sounds like a fabulous perfume!
I am in the US.
Robin, thanks for yet another drawing. You can use my email and I live in the U.S. Never had an opportunity to try Aftelier, but Tango does sound interesting. My skin has soaked up all of the natural fragrances I have tried in the past.
I remember watching that interview that Mandy did a few months ago and was intrigued. So, this drawing is a fabulous opportunity. Thanks!
I’ve never tried any Aftelier scents, but have been curious about them for a long time and will try to get the opportunity to try them next time I’m in LA. As a dancer of Argentine tango I’m wondering if this fragrance might have a special appeal to me.
At the moment, however, it feels frivolous to even think about perfume. I’ve been browsing this evening to find the best way to donate money to the rescue of refugees in the Mediterranean. Finally settled on making a contribution through the unhcr UNHCR and tomorrow I will go through my wardrobe and attic to find shoes, clothes and other things that might be useful.
Tango sounds delicious. Thank you for the draw!
Orange and ginger make one of my favorite fragrant combinations. In winter I like to steep fresh ginger slices and orange peel on the stove.
I love gardenia!
I love all of the Aftelier scents I have tried! Cepes and Tuberose, Candide and Honey Blossom! Thanks for the draw, R
I am head over heels for Aftelier Bergamoss right now, but Mandy’s Ancient Resins always hits the spot too. Thank you for the chance.
Cosmopolitan dance squares out of this phial, weaving poor psyche helplessly through shadows of Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Paris, and Berlin. Tango I’m yours!
Oooh, how exciting! Love her work, many faves, but it’s almost time to break out Cepes and Tuberose.
My favorite Aftelier Fragrance is Boronia, which I could never afford but ordered multiple samples so I could smell it. I also loved my tango sample. My favorite natural fragrance is linden trees blooming.
I think I’ve only smelt Cepes and Tuberose a long time ago, so long ago that I can’t accurately remember it. I’ve been fascinated by Mandy’s work for a while now, particularly her chef’s essences, and also her deep connection with people. Smoky incense sounds utterly fabulous.
I have smelled many of Mandy’s gorgeous creations and Secret Garden is my favorite as well as my favorite natural perfume.
You have permission to use my e-mail and thank you for the giveaway!
Really great, thanks to Mandy! My favorites are Honey Blossom and Cuir de Gardenia.
Yay, fun! I admit, this isn’t a house I’ve explored properly. I’m feeling the need for *new things* these days, though! Thanks so much for the draw!
Love love love CACAO!
I’ve only sampled Cuir de Gardenia and Cepes and Tuberose from her line. Both are really complex and interesting!
I’ve never tried any Aftelier perfumes, but I purchased a sampler set from Olympic Orchids perfume last year. One of my favorites from the set is Gujarat.
Tango sounds wonderful! I have not tried any Aftelier perfumes but I do have a mini of Tabac Citron from Providence Perfumes. I think it’s considered a natural perfume.
I haven’t tried Aftelier yet but I’m getting ready to place an order and Cuir de Gardenia is on the top of my sample list followed by Cacoa and the Fig sounds intriguing. Would love to win the Tango mini. Thank you both for this wonderful giveaway.
This would be my first Aftelier perfume so I can’t pick a favorite, my favorite natural perfume at the moment is Moon Bloom and today I’m wearing and loving Guerlain Terracotta Le Parfum for the perfect goodbye to summer.
So far I did not have the lucky chance to try any of the Aftelier creations but I hope I will.
My favorite perfume is Aspens by Drift Parfum de Terre.
Thank you very much! Wish you all the best!
I adore Aftelier’s Sepia. I’d bathe in it if I could. That said with fall coming around quick here, Fir would be on top of my wear & snif list! <3
This is a bit like Sophie’s Choice… but I’d have to say Lumiere is my favorite Aftelier perfume. Thank you, Mandy and Now Smell This!
Aftelier’s Cuir de Gardenia, Oud Luban and Palimpsest are among my favorite natural perfumes. Thank you.
Cepes and Tuberose. No question, the most interesting, most beautiful scent out there. #pickme
