L’Artisan Parfumeur has launched Noir Exquis, a new gourmand fragrance "inspired by an unexpected rendez-vous in a French patisserie."
Noir Exquis was developed by perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour. The notes include orange, coffee, maple syrup, glazed chestnuts, heliotrope, tonka bean, sandalwood and amber.
L’Artisan Parfumeur Noir Exquis is available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Sounds interesting! And the first four ingredients make me want to bake something 😀
It does sound interesting. And they’ve done a great coffee before — which at the moment I’m having a brain freeze on.
From Fragrantica:
L’Eau du Navigateur by L`Artisan Parfumeur is a Woody Spicy fragrance for women and men. L’Eau du Navigateur was launched in 1979. L’Eau du Navigateur was created by Jean-Claude Ellena and Jean-Francois Laporte. The fragrance features coffee, spices, woodsy notes, floral notes, rum, resin, incense, tobacco, leather, cedar and myrrh.
Yep, thanks!
An unexpected rendez-vous sounds so much nicer than a planned coffee date at Starbucks
HA, yes. And I don’t want the scent of those little cupcakes on a stick!
Oh, yes please!
OK, I have to admit this sounds interesting. Will it be a new theme by Duchaufour, or another variation on one of his existing themes?
No idea, sorry!
When I see the word “Noir” in a fragrance name, I always gets a little worried..it is few scents that really live up to that word. I wonder if it is noir, by the coffee note 🙂
This sounds like it has a lot of potential and I admire Duchafor’s work, but I think the only rendezvous I’m likely to have in a patisserie is with a face full of pastry lol!
I read the glazed chestnuts as “glazed doughnuts.” Sigh.
But so nice with the coffee!
