Reminiscence will launch Patchouli Blanc in September. The new woody oriental fragrance is a flanker to 1970's Patchouli fragrance for women.
Patchouli Blanc was developed by perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin, and is described as cleaner and softer than the original. The notes include aldehydes, star anise, hawthorn, powdery notes, patchouli, sandalwood, white musk and ambergris.
Reminiscence Patchouli Blanc will be available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Shame on me since I haven’t even tried the first one.
Is this their first flanker?
Oh no, they’ve done quite a few, and since I have not been keeping track since 1970 I have no idea how many. I really liked the Elixir Patchouli they did in 2007:

How do you think the Elixir Patchouli compares to the original?
Sorry, have not smelled the original in AGES, and both scents have probably been reformulated by now (if they’re even still making the Elixir).
Reformulation is a 4 letter word! ????

Curiosity piqued, I will be looking at Luckyscent for sample availability.
I think that Beautyhabit carries the line in the US.
Thanks monkeytoe!
I have an old sample of the original patchouli. I like it enough that I’ve often thought I should buy a full bottle. Of course I haven’t. It is a very ambery classic patchouli.
