More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US. Today's post includes collector items from Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Lovers, Comme des Garçons + Pharrell Williams, ERH1012 and Yves Saint Laurent; plus new packaging for Rochas.
From Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Lovers, the Pop Electric collection, featuring Baby, G, Love, Lil' Angel and Music: "The new collection of five fragrances, originally introduced in 2008, features the Harajuku Girls dressed with a pop electric vibe. Dipped in molten chrome in vibrant jewel tones, they are individual pieces of whimsical pop art. [...] HSN will offer a set of five 30mL dolls in a gift box for $124.90; a $200 value. Additional items from the collection include fragrance singles in 30mL and 50mL, along with gift sets (body lotion, EDP and a key chain)." Due to launch on HSN on Thursday night. (via prnewswire)
From Comme des Garçons + Pharrell Williams, Girl in a limited edition with a blue head. At Colette in France, €95 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum.
From Yves Saint Laurent, the 2014 La Nuit de L'Homme collector edition: "A matte black flacon with a few subtle white streaks gives an even more masculine style to the perfume, which delivers notes of tonka bean, cedar and black pepper." Due to launch late this month. (via news.yahoo)
From ERH1012, the brand's Dead of Night fragrance in a wearable necklace: "Featuring a chain allowing it to be worn as a necklace, the 18kt gold plated flower flacon is presented encased in white velvet in a white pearlised box." Holds 1.2 ml Perfume, £120 at Harrods in the UK.
From Rochas, a new standard bottle for Rochas Femme, Tocade and Madame Rochas. (via nicematin)
Oh, god, the Harajuku Lovers bottles are GORGEOUS. The juice, not so much, but still, I’m tempted. And PAWS design for the CdG bottle is perfection. I love when street art meets beauty.
Super G is still my favorite (wish they’d done a set of those, all superheroes) but these are cute.
The Harajuku bottles look like mirrored octopuses and are super creepy.
The Rochas bottle is fantastic.
Ha!
Love the Femme bottle.
But I didn’t have my reading glasses on when I first pulled up NST, and at first glance I misidentified the Harajuku Lovers bottles. I was all “WUT, neon electrified jellyfish?!?! — Oh. No, they’re not.”
LOL!
I have to confess to collecting the Harajuku Girls perfumes. They’re just so cute and while the perfumes generally aren’t terribly inspired, some are really quite interesting or nice. Are the frags different with this set or just the bottle design, which my daughter would seriously want to steal from me. 😉
The fragrances should be the same, but don’t know if any have been reformulated since 2008…
The Harajuku bottles are a skosh creepy — the features are so faint that they are almost absent. Some of the regular bottles are cute, and years ago I bought one because it has an Afro … effing adorable!
The new Girl bottle still has Xs for eyes, so I still see a dead person.
I agree–Xs for eyes=dead. It shifts that bottle from intriguing to creepy for me.
It’s a shame they’re not keeping the distinctive, colorful Tocade bottle. I wonder if less interesting bottles are a cost-saving measure. If so, they’re ignoring the collectors market. (If I had a bigger budget, I’d be buying the Harajuku Lovers just for the bottles. I’m tempted every time I see them at TJ Maxx or Marshall’s.)
