Diptyque's Holiday 2014 candle collection is now available for pre-order at Neiman Marcus. This year's trio includes Épice, Résine and Hiver.
Épice (Spice) ~ above left; "Warm and vibrant, is tinged with the red tones of flames. A distinctive softness, a voluptuous strength... An enchanting, inimitable cinnamon with the reassuring roundness of plum."
Résine (Resin) ~ above center; "Green in colour to encompass all that pine has to offer; its whole fragrance world is found impressed in the wax. Bark, resin, crushed needles... A generous, open and comforting naturalness."
Hiver (Winter) ~ above right; "for the winter season...In a tone of blue that brings out shades of white. A sensual evocation of the cold, biting North wind, and then a wood fire and roasted chestnuts...Both sides, enveloped in a balsamy facet, irresistibly attract us to this world of contrasts that nourishes life."
The Diptyque Épice, Résine and Hiver candles are $68 each for 190 g (about 50-60 hours burn time); a smaller 70 g size will also be available but perhaps not at Neiman Marcus.

I L-O-V-E the annual Dyptique Holiday candles. I’ll have to look thos up! Résine sounds right up my alley.
WOW! I love them so much that I can’t even spell the name correctly!! Time for another cup of tea.
Résine is the one I’m after too…and the jars are lovely, as usual.
Epice is on my list.
If it’s not too fruity, I might want one too!
I am burning the last inch of last years Orange Chai. I would probably go for Hiver out of this grouping.
I will admit to a weakness for BBW Leaves and Illume Roasting Chestnuts for my fall-ish candle needs.
My candle needs are pretty minimal, so I have no business buying any! I mostly drool over the Diptyques instead of buying them.
Still enjoying last year’s Ecorce de Pin. Resine goes on the list now.
I’ve never owned a diptique candle (though I have to admit that my desire to own one was actually was generated my WHOLE newly found interest in niche and non-niche perfumes) but those really do sound and look lovely. While I definitely have a love for cinnamon – the roasted chestnut notes in Hiver are calling to me… despite the fact that I’ve never had a roasted chestnut. My Korean mother always boils them, but they’re supremely delish that way!
