German fashion brand Jil Sander will launch Simply Jil Sander, a new floral musky woods fragrance for women, this fall. Simply Jil Sander will be fronted by model Toni Garrn.
A woody-musky fragrance tailored like beautiful Jil Sander clothing: simple, comfortable, elegant. An ode to high-carat femininity. The luminous opening burst of bergamot and mandarin releases its fresh, exhilarating facets and reveals the aromatic character of violet leaf. Then the musky violet deepens in a voluptuous density and addictive sensuality. In the drydown, the sublime intensity of patchouli is revealed by a noble leather accord. Elegant, timeless and distinctive.
Simply Jil Sander was developed by perfumer Christophe Raynaud. Additional notes include cedar, nutmeg and vanilla.
Simply Jil Sander will be available in 60 and 80 ml Eau de Parfum.

Can’t say that I know anything about her fragrances save for an encounter with her No. 4 in the 90’s, but I do love the presentation of this one. And the notes sound interesting…
For a time a few years ago, Bloomies carried some of the line here, don’t know if they still do. But I did like a few of them!
Pro: no oud.
Con: “addictive”.
The only Jil Sander I have ever worn was Feeling Man, way back in the late eighties: tobacco and leather, but SUPER thick and sweet. I can’t even imagine what I was thinking. There were a lot of ultra-sweet men’s scents then, with Lagerfeld leading the way.
Have not heard of that one either. My “what-was-I-thinking?” came in the form of the original Joop! Homme. Talk about thick and sweet! A single spray of that pink (!) juice and you could smell me across the street!
