More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US. Today's post includes special editions from Thierry Mugler, Acqua di Parma, Estée Lauder and Ramón Monegal, plus a new Eau de Parfum concentration of Anna Sui La Nuit De Bohème.
From Thierry Mugler, Angel in the Glamorama edition: "This seductive new ANGEL star invites her to the glamorous universe of Thierry Mugler. With its special bottle treatment she will experience dramatic sensuality." In 50 ml refillable spray, $120 at Thierry Mugler USA.
From Acqua di Parma, a special edition of their new Rosa Nobile: "Bestowed in a beautiful yellow hat box, adorned with pale pink petals, Rosa Nobile limited edition eau de parfum by Acqua di Parma is the perfect gift for her." 100 ml for £98 at Selfridges in the UK.
Also from Acqua di Parma, Iris Nobile in a 10th anniversary edition that launched earlier this year: "Born in 2004, Iris Nobile celebrates its tenth anniversary with a special edition of its decorated bottle. The iris is the main feature in the stylized coat of arms version, silk-screened in 18-carat gold on the glass. A gilt tag hangs on the bottle’s neck as a reference to the anniversary." From Estée Lauder, a Modern Muse solid perfume compact: "This irresistible solid perfume compact is an elegant way to show your support of Breast Cancer Awareness and touch up on your favorite fragrance. It's also the perfect gift for the modern muse in your life---one who inspires you with their strength and courage. This sleek compact with a bold pink modern muse bow design is filled with Modern Muse in long-lasting solid perfume. A Wonderful Gift Arrives in an elegant presentation box. Includes a velvety pouch to keep the compact safe." $49.50 at Dillard's.
From Ramón Monegal, a limited edition Musk trio: "A Neiman Marcus exclusive collection of three outstanding best sellers in the Ramon Monegal range in a limited edition trial-size format while supplies last." With Cherry Musk, Agar Musk and Cotton Musk, 15 ml each, $95 at Neiman Marcus.
From Anna Sui, La Nuit De Bohème in Eau de Parfum, with notes of bergamot, mandarin, berries, apple, rose, plum, night blooming jasmine, orange blossom, magnolia, patchouli, sandalwood, amber and musk. (via kawabe.co.jp)
Ok Cherry and Cotton Musk are best sellers in the line? Agar Musk is pretty alright and know several others like it but Cotton and Cherry Musk? The most boring in the line, imo. Esp Cotton Musk..I can find similar at Walmart for 2.99. I’d guess Impossible Iris would be a best seller, or that orange one. He should have trial sizes of every scent in the line, imo. I’d like one of Ambra. Oh well.
I do need to ck out the AdP line, haven’t sniffed any from them.
I am not familiar enough with the line to say, but it wouldn’t be that unusual for the most boring to be the biggest seller 🙂
Omega, Impossible Iris is my favorite and the Orange Naranja a close second.
The Iris Nobile bottle pictured with yesterday’s sotd post is more interesting than this one…not that I’ll ever need another huge bottle (and don’t have one of the limited eds, alas)…
Agree. It has not been a stellar year for collector bottles overall…
For some reason, I’ve decided that it would be cool to have a collection of women’s fragrances in black bottles, and that Angel is calling my name. Maybe I can swap away the juice. 🙂
And you have lots of choices: the whole Robert Piguet collection, Narciso Rodriguez, Tom Ford Black Orchid…
I’m working on it! 🙂
btw, I went to the TM website and found that that cute black bottle is not really a bottle, but only a cover to put over a bottle. Bummer.
Ha…that’s what they mean by “bottle treatment” then? That’s funny.
