Issey Miyake will launch Nuit d'Issey, a new spicy woods fragrance for men. Other recent fragrances for men from Issey Miyake include L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme Sport Mint and L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme Yuzu.
An initiatory journey under the protective and kindly shadow of the moon, which serves as a guide for the man who walks alone, absorbing the force of the nocturnal elements to gather up new energy.
At night, emotions are amplified and magnified; sensations are intensified. Landmarks are lost in an immersive dive toward the discovery of a new world.
Nuit d'Issey was developed by perfumers Dominique Ropion and Loc Dong. The notes include bergamot, grapefruit, leather accord, spices, black pepper, woods, vetiver, patchouli, incense and tonka bean.
Issey Miyake Nuit d'Issey will be available in 125 ml Eau de Toilette (and possibly in other sizes as well; I will update when I can).
(via nuit-dissey)
Update: Nuit d'Issey is also in 75 ml.
About Issey Miyake’s decision to ALWAYS use the same bottle for ALL his masculine launches…. is it a stylistic statement of extreme design, and therefore something to be appreciated, or is it the most extreme cheapness and the sign of a boring and derivative artistic director/s? Discuss!
It’s a good point. They did two new recent designs for women — A Scent and Pleats Please. They do so few pillars at all (if I’m counting right, this is their 4th for men, and they’ve only done 3 for women) you’d think they’d do a new bottle!
Yes, and I know I am not being really fair… Bleue had a ridge for Christ’s sake! LOL…
I DO like the design, and it should be minimalistic enough to be timeless…
But the bottle’s shape takes me right back to 1996 when I bought my first bottle of Eau D’Issey @ Miami international airport LOL.
Whatever, they are probably laughing all the way to the bank with their flankermania! They are just behind Victoria’s Secret on number of flankers! 😀
They’re friends with Thierry Mugler.
🙂
Right! LOL
That there is some world-class over-the-top perfume ad copy. And I have to wonder just how dark/nighttime it will actually be: in my experience, most everything in the last twenty years or so labelled “noir” or “black” or “night” has been anything but (case in point: Obsession Night, both versions).
Bottle’s gorgeous, though.
Yes…let’s hope it’s really dark!
Ill try it if i see it, but not expecting much. Probably another generic dept. store scent.
