Revlon has launched Revlon Parfumerie, a new line (although not their first) of scented nail polishes. There are 24 scented colors ranging from Wild Violets to Sunlit Grass to Italian Leather to Pink Pineapple to Surf Spray to African Tea Rose. The scent is apparently not evident until the polish is dry on nails; "light fragrances last all day".
Dior has done a few limited edition scented nail polishes, and last year Calvin Klein made one scented with CK One Summer. If you know of others, do comment.
Revlon Parfumerie Nail Polishes are $5.99 each at Ulta.
Lancôme did scented nail polish as well 🙂 I think it was with the scent of Trésor 🙂
Right! I’m surprised there aren’t more of these.
American Hustle has a hilarious speech by the Jenifer Lawrence character about scented nail polish, which also does a pretty good job of describing the bold disco era scents.
I keep hearing about that…need to see the movie!
Revlon released a small range of fruit-smelling nail polishes a couple of years ago. I thought they smelled horrible.
Agreed! I bought the blueberry one – pretty color – and it smelled something like a kid’s blueberry scented pen might smell. If I was not very conscious of scent it probably wouldn’t have bothered me – but…well I wore it once for about 24 hours! Lucky I got it on sale:)
These sound like they have much more sophisticated scents but I’m not sure I would risk it. They do have lovely bottles though.
And they still have some line of scented nail polishes other than this one…I think it’s just called “Scented Nail Polish” or something.
Hope they didn’t smell as bad as Maybelline’s Baby Lips. It’s a nice idea to have lightly-tinted lip balms, but they can’t be worn if you’re not a little girl.
“Baby, your fingertips smell fabulous. Wanna date?”
I had wanted to try that scented top coat Dawn Spencer Hurwitz did, but I’m guessing it’s no longer available…

Nail polish is another hobby of mine, more affordable and fun than perfume oftentimes, and I have a couple of these Revlon polishes. The bottles are very cute and the scents are noticeable but not overwhelming by any means; I only notice the scent when my hand is near my face on the first day of wear. They’re much better, scent wise, then the older Revlon polishes others have mentioned, but while using them they still smell like any nail polish.
Nice to know! And I agree on the more affordable… Also, its enjoyable changing over from nuances in smell and olfactory effects to hue and visual finishes:)
Forget the orientals, chypres and florals for creams, glitters and duo chromes, lol!
