French niche line Parfums MDCI has launched Nuit Andalouse, a new white floral fragrance. Also new from the brand: Cuir Garamante.
A dreamy white floral centered around gardenia, the queen of tropical flowers. Nuit Andalouse opens with a sweet, delicate violet that perfectly sets the stage for the euphoric gardenia ahead, like a flower girl dropping petals before the radiant bride steps down the aisle. A sparkling orange note appears, clear and bell-like, which then blends with heady orange blossom, soft creamy vanilla and the luminous gardenia to create a fragrance with the luscious, but airy, quality of a mousse or semifreddo – smooth and delicious, but never too heavy or rich. Created by Cécile Zarokian, this lovely scent pulls off the difficult feat of balancing elegance and charm.
Additional notes feature green notes, ylang ylang, rose, sandalwood, musk and salicylates.
Parfums MDCI Nuit Andalouse can be found now for pre-order at Luckyscent, in 60 ml Eau de Parfum for $250. The bust edition is $375.

Update: see a review of Nuit Andalouse.
I have so far succeeded in not falling hard for any MDCI. I really liked my sample of Promesse a l’aube, and Rose de Siwa made me ridiculously happy (pink peonies! pink roses! girly floof!), but I just cannot bring myself to spend that kind of money on scent when I already have so much.
OTOH, I do really want to smell this. REALLY want to smell.
I really like a few, but ditto, can’t bring myself to buy.
Have now sampled this, and it is WONDERFUL.
At the same time, I can’t justify buying it. It’s not terribly distinctive other than being a wonderful white floral, and there are lots n’ lots of those.
Good to know…could not decide if I was going to chase it down or not. I guess that’s a go!
There seem to be a lot of niche gardenias recently: SL Une Voix Noire, Aftelier Cuir de Gardenia, Jovoy Gardez-Moi, Illuminum White Gardenia Petals, and Creed Fleurs de Gardenia. I’m not counting Aerin Gardenia Rattan as niche, but that’s another one, and from a parent firm that already has a famous gardenia.
True! Although not sure this one really focuses on gardenia so much.
