Posted by Robin on 7 December 2013 12 Comments

Our series of holiday gift posts continues with gift ideas for the men in your life, although there are plenty of “unisex” ideas in the other articles, and there are probably a few things here that women might like. If you missed them, check out Part 1: scented body products, Part 2: travel sizes & coffrets and Part 3: home fragrance. Up next: fragranced teas and chocolates.

More shopping ideas: check out Persolaise's round up of holiday 2013 fragrance gifts.

      🙂

But I do think it’s a darned attractive candle holder, although too spendy for me.

Well, mozzarella cheese is made from buffalo milk apparently.

Yup. Water buffalo have been farmed in Italy for centuries. They are pretty common in the south.

I never really got the idea of a boxed set (always a quartet, it seems) of travel sprays that are all the same scent. I mean, maybe if you use it a lot and you want one for the gym bag and one for the car and one for the briefcase or something, but I can’t be alone in preferring to have four different scents from the same line.

They always play up the TSA-approved thing, so guessing it’s for frequent travelers…but I’m with you, I’d rather have a mix, or better yet, a choice.

I always think that one is for immediate use with three additional to misplace.

Hmm. A shaving set is a nice idea! Too bad my dad is the only fella I know who uses a boar’s hair brush. Those really make for a romantic shaving image!

Yes, they do! And lots of places still sell them so he can’t be the only one.

Retro shaving is becoming a thing now, actually. Lots of young guys buying safety razors and badger brushes. Apparently the safety razor is much cheaper and gives a much better shave than the cartridges!

I thought 140 pounds was expensive for that candle holder…then I saw that the candle was sold separately, another 53 pounds. Then I thought 200+USD is just something I could never spend on a candle and holder. Then I did the currency converter…it would be over 300 USD to get the duo. Not a chance, I don’t care if it’s buffalo skin, lemur skin scented with Madagascar vanilla, rhino or whatever..nope.

It’s darned expensive. It could just as easily go in the “luxury gifts” post as the “men’s gifts” post.
