Recreational marijuana is legal in Colorado. But that doesn't mean residents want the air to smell like a pot rally...And that's where licensed smell investigator Ben Siller comes in. I’m interested to see how the growing use of marijuana by mainstream consumers effects the fragrance world in the future years, more patchouli scents I hope!
Betcha more marijuana scents, although we’ve already seen a handful.
I meant I wonder if perfumers will begin to take in to consideration the smell of pot, especially if they are creating a scent geared to college students-twenties group. Made me think about an article on here about cigarette smoke and older perfumes 🙂
Not create something that smells like pot, but masks or blends well with it.
Gotcha! We’ll see. No idea if more young people are actually smoking pot now than before.
Axe probably masks it.
I don’t want to even think about what axe and pot mix smells like!
My husband and I just spent a long weekend in Amsterdam. I know marijuana is perfectly legal there but I have to admit, every time we walked by a “coffeeshop” and the odor wafted out my immediate thought was “oh, they’re going to get in trouble”. Too many memories of dorm living back in the late 70’s LOL
Ha, I remember having the same feeling there!
I totally read that as “licensed smell investigator Ben STILLER”. That sounds like the movie for me. Owen Wilson can play his nemesis and/or sidekick, a la Zoolander.
Hey, that would be even better 🙂
Ugh! Pot rivals cigars in totally-nasty-stinkiness in my book! Maybe there can be a resurgence of Victorian-style smoking rooms to contain the stench!
