It took a while for me to realise that I was no different. I found myself telling perfumer Alienor Massenet that what I loved about my husband was that his skin was the most sensual I'd ever come across, that it was a kind of red-gold caramelised copper with a tang of salty herbs to it and that I would follow it to the ends of the earth.
Quite apart from how embarrassing this is in general, I should have realised that he smells delicious because he usually wears Pour un Homme by Caron, a fragrance which, when blended with his skin, forms the human equivalent of crystal meth.

What is so embarrassing about loving the smell of your husband’s skin.
Can’t tell you. Thought it was a great article though.
In the article these lines just sounded over the top, but the way you cropped it it sounded like someone reporting her own drugged conversation in an opium den, or something! LOL!
LOL…sorry, I actually just thought it was really sweet, and loved the nod to the Caron, which is a great scent.
It is nice, and a great tribute too – but also reminds me of Aldous Huxley’s book ‘The Doors of Perception’ which is about his experience on LSD!
No need to apologise – I really found it funny:)
And I think she is being a little too self-effacing in that one cannot have a long term intimate relationship with someone and not know what their natural smell is as opposed to their natural scent + perfume.
Oh, that’s true too.
