Earlier this year, Guerlain launched Cour des Senteurs Versailles, an exclusive green floral fragrance for the brand's store and collaborative garden* at Château de Versailles.
To celebrate the opening of its boutique in the “Cour des Senteurs” in Versailles, Guerlain interprets the sumptuous world of the legendary kings and queens who marked the history of France. As a tribute to the majesty and magic of the balls thrown at the Château de Versailles, Guerlain created the exclusive Cour des Senteurs – Versailles edition.
The iconic White Bee bottle puts on its most beautiful attire. A flamboyant red bow, enhanced with a golden drop engraved with the double G, decorates the bottle’s neck. The royal star, borrowed from the heritage of Guerlain, echoes the brilliance of the Sun King. A refined bottle for an elegant and sensual fragrance with a royal aura, in which jasmine, Marie-Antoinette’s favourite flower, leads the dance.
Cour des Senteurs Versailles was developed by Guerlain perfumer Thierry Wasser; additional notes include bergamot, galbanum, cyclamen, freesia, lily of the valley, amber and white musks.
Guerlain Cour des Senteurs Versailles is available in 125 ml Eau de Toilette.

I’ve been watching a classic anime called The Rose of Versailles. It’s about Marie Antoinette and her guard is who a girl whose father decided she should be a boy so she’s named Oscar. I imagine it isn’t historically accurate at all. Especially now that I know Marie Antoinette’s favorite flower is actually jasmine.
Hey, who knows what her favorite flower was…I have also seen cornflower, tuberose, rose and lilac reported as her favorites.
I recently watched Rose of Versailles too! It’s a great series, especially the second half. And it’s more historically accurate than you might think (I’m not a Marie Antoinette scholar or anything, but she’s my favorite historical figure and I’ve read a few biographies on her over the years), but a lot of the facts are strongly embellished for the drama of the show.
But, yeah, I also can’t say as I know that jasmine was or wasn’t her favorite flower. 🙂
galbanum? hmm, perhaps a non-Allegoria Guerlain I can finally appreciate!
And at non-Allegoria prices, unfortunately! But there’s always Chamade…
And Vol de Nuit.
Word on the street is, this is Jasminora, the, Aqua Allegoria, in a bee bottle.
That’s sad, but would not be overly surprising.
As a friend in the UK recently discovered: she has a very attractive bee bottle of…..Jasminora.
Silly Guerlain….why do you do this to us?
“Silly” is a friendly way of putting it, and probably not what I’d say if I’d paid for this!
🙂
This sounds lovely. And then I read the comments – well, I like Jasminora too. But I’d rather pay Jasminora prices!
Guerlain really does lovely bottles.
